I'm not a doctor and I have no experience with medicine, but from what I have researched online about the hormones that control your menstrual cycle, and from my experience taking birth control, you could be having symptoms of <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>estrogen</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>dominance</span> as withdrawal from taking birth control. It is easy enough from the North American diet for the body to produce more estrogen than it does progesterone. Both of these hormones need to be in your body for you to get your period.
The idea is that with no ovulation there will be no cysts. Something else to look at is hormones. I've heard that <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>estrogen</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>dominance</span> can be something that causes cysts. Google it and look into adjusting your diet and avoiding chemicals and preservatives and perhaps that can help to avoid any further issues. If per chance you do still get another one I would ask to have eggs harvested for future use.

You might want to do some googling in those areas. With the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>estrogen</span> dominance they suggest you adjust your diet and habits to eliminate things that cause it (antibiotics in meat, fertilizers on vegetables, chemicals in your home, etc.). Hello, I had similar symptoms to you years ago and with the help of a very astitute Gynecologist, it was determined that my hormones were extremely out of balance (particularly DHEA, testosterone were severely lacking) and my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>estrogen</span> was spiking intermittently (<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>estrogen</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>dominance</span>). I would ask, has anyone tested your hormones? As well, have they tested your hormone metabolism? Metabolic syndrome is yet another possibility. Finally perhaps even gluten intolerance.

I think there are a number of things that could cause TSH, T3 and T4 to be low.
