Common Questions and Answers about Dog sneezing after boarding

sneeze

Avatar f tn I know its hard to part from your pet, I could never leave my cat with anyone for a long period of time, but if you wanted to move in with your boyfriend, try finding like a boarding house or something similar for your dog near your boyfriend's place so you could still see your dog as much as you'd like to.
1969477 tn?1327548419 I work at a dog day care/boarding & grooming service. The indoor play yards where the dogs go to the bathroom are mopped regularly with a very strong industrial bleach solution that burns all of our eyes terribly & makes all of the dogs go into sneezing fits. I have recently been feeling short of breath easily fatigued & have had several serious dizzy spells that made me unable to function. Could these symptoms be related to inhaling these bleach (& ammonia from the urine) fumes?
Avatar f tn If u have a dog(s), don't forget to set it up for boarding or to have someone come let them out and feed them while ur at the hospital. In that moment, there's soooooo much baby excitement, our little canine friends can get overlooked!
Avatar m tn Please consider a friend keeping your dog, or maybe using a boarding facility.
Avatar m tn m confused about whether sending her to a dog boarding will affect her badly! Has anyone here have any experience in sending your dogs to daycare centers in your hectic life? Please feel free to share your experiences and opinions regarding this. Thanks!
Avatar n tn Karla is right. Have you contacted the kennel and asked if other dogs ate affected? We have a boarding kennel here that is extremely vigilant about sanitizing, making sure all dogs are vaccinated, etc. few weeks ago, they called and notified a neighbor that had reservations to board her dog that they had an outbreak of kennel cough. Facility was completely shut down and sanitized and reopened. I have to give them credit for notifying their clients!
Avatar f tn My dog has attacks of reverse sneezing occasionally. I calm her gently because she seems a little dismayed by the whole thing. I have been reassured that it causes them no harm, and is not a symptom of any other illness. Just guesswork on my part. If you are at all unsure, then do take your dog to the vet. I have heard bad things about foxtails, so if there is a problem with one, it is better sorted out fast.
Avatar f tn My lovely 14 year old dog Nakrang (female; maltese mix; named after a princess in the ancient Korea) died at around 6pm on 10/16/2014. On 10/10 Friday, I took her to a vet in my neighborhood to give Nakrang vaccinations required for pet boarding. I was planning a vacation away from the town.
Avatar n tn Sneezing dogs, this time of the year, is a sure sign of allergies (especially if they're fine throughout the rest of the year). What RedHed1973 said... Benadryl. We actually give ours the regular kind (non-drowsy of course). Works like a charm and stops the itchy skin, watery eyes, runny nose, eye boogers & sneezing. Late April through August is allergy season for our girls, so we stock up on Benadryl big time during those months!
Avatar m tn The water source was from his water dish. We live in a 2 level house and his dish is upstairs on the balcony so its fine. There is a bug going around and several dogs in my town have gotten sick from it so we decided we may take him to the vet if he isn't any better by tomorrow. Unfortunently my mum hosed out his poop this morning so i'll take a sample if it happens again (if i can) .
Avatar f tn Gia is an Italian greyhound, age unknown, although she was rescued in 2009 and was full grown then. Several times a month for years her stomach starts crackling, popping, fizzling and making all kinds of weird noises and she will not eat when this is happening. In the last year she is sneezing and reverse sneezing and my vet can't seem to figure out what is wrong. His last solution was a steroid shot which seemed to reduce the number of sneezing incidents but not the reverse sneezing.
694466 tn?1227677802 Hi. My name is Kayla and I had a question about my dogs health. My dog recently got home from a kennel last weekend. Since then she has been sneezing when she gets excited or runs around too much. She also has been hacking. At first I thought it was kennel cough, but heartworm also seems to be a possibility. How can I tell which it is?
Avatar f tn My dog sounds like she is snoring when she breathes she has never done this before but I don't have money to take her to a vet what should I do
Avatar f tn I have a 10 month old kitten and we have been battling fleas with the other 3 cats and 1 dog. We have gotten the fleas almost under control but the kitten is scratching so badly that under her neck she has scratched herself so raw she's off and on bleeding.
1622527 tn?1301644622 The only real advice I can give you is to take him to the vet for a thorough examination (Heart/Lungs, and bloodwork) That is the soundest advice I can think of, and if you could manage to find the cash to do that, one way or another....it would be a wise move. However, it is just possible this could be what is called "Reverse Sneezing". Google "Reverse Sneezing You Tube" and you will come up with videos of dogs with this.
Avatar f tn Is it a proper sneeze (air blowing outward) or what's commonly referred to as "reverse sneezing"? Reverse sneezing can be frightening to see if it keeps on for a few minutes, but it's harmless - basically a kind of a hiccup. Our Dal gets reverse sneezing fits sometimes and we can usually stop it by rubbing his throat and getting him to move around a bit. That technique might help when your dog gets the sneezes from excitement.
Avatar f tn You know, I had a German Shepherd Dog who had nasal problems, and after several similar treatments as your dog, we took him to a university vet school hospital, and they did a procedure under anesthesia to look in his nose, and to see in there, they had to completely irrigate his nasal passages. Well, they didn't see anything in there, but I'll have you know that dog didn't have any further sinus issues.
Avatar n tn Could the crating have hurt him in some way or anyone hearing of this problem after boarding their dog know what “could” be the problem?
