I know its hard to part from your pet, I could never leave my cat with anyone for a long period of time, but if you wanted to move in with your boyfriend, try finding like a boarding house or something similar for your dog near your boyfriend's place so you could still see your dog as much as you'd like to.
If u have a dog(s), don't forget to set it up for boarding or to have someone come let them out and feed them while ur at the hospital. In that moment, there's soooooo much baby excitement, our little canine friends can get overlooked!
Please consider a friend keeping your dog, or maybe using a boarding facility.
Karla is right. Have you contacted the kennel and asked if other dogs ate affected?
We have a boarding kennel here that is extremely vigilant about sanitizing, making sure all dogs are vaccinated, etc. few weeks ago, they called and notified a neighbor that had reservations to board her dog that they had an outbreak of kennel cough. Facility was completely shut down and sanitized and reopened. I have to give them credit for notifying their clients!
My dog has attacks of reverse sneezing occasionally. I calm her gently because she seems a little dismayed by the whole thing. I have been reassured that it causes them no harm, and is not a symptom of any other illness.

What RedHed1973 said... Benadryl. We actually give ours the regular kind (non-drowsy of course). Works like a charm and stops the itchy skin, watery eyes, runny nose, eye boogers & sneezing.
Late April through August is allergy season for our girls, so we stock up on Benadryl big time during those months!
The water source was from his water dish. We live in a 2 level house and his dish is upstairs on the balcony so its fine. There is a bug going around and several dogs in my town have gotten sick from it so we decided we may take him to the vet if he isn't any better by tomorrow. Gia is an Italian greyhound, age unknown, although she was rescued in 2009 and was full grown then. You know, I had a German Shepherd Dog who had nasal problems, and after several similar treatments as your dog, we took him to a university vet school hospital, and they did a procedure under anesthesia to look in his nose, and to see in there, they had to completely irrigate his nasal passages. Well, they didn't see anything in there, but I'll have you know that dog didn't have any further sinus issues.
They say the pressure affects the baby after 7months.
