Second, I've changed from soft-sole shoes to hard-sole shoes. I wore the soft-sole shoes for years because of arthritis in my feet, but found that not only can I wear hard-sole shoes (Mephistos --- very expensive, but worth it), but when I do, my calf muscles are happier. I don't know why, but when I put on a pair of soft-sole shoes, I get minor cramps in my calves when I walk or climb stairs. Together these two changes have tremendously lessened the nighttime discomforts.
By the way, you asked me in another post if I came to Nashville for treatments. No, there is a cancer center where I live. I chose to go there for convenience sake, but my GYN/ONC is at Vanderbilt, and I see him every 6 months. I am thinking about moving my treatments to Cape Girardeau, MO, though, because one of the hospitals there is affiliated with MD Anderson. I am also seeing a doctor there in Houston, but that's not exactly feasible to go there for weekly chemo treatments.
Along with the hives I have angioedema in my face, hands and feet. Sometimes I can't find any shoes to fit except crocs or something like that. I was diagnosed with chronic autoimmune urticaria in January.
I can't belief I have finaly found this site! I have had these symptoms for 3 years now and had been hoping for a cure or at least relief from the symptoms. The one commonality seems to be the nerve thing. My G.P. says she thinks the nerves over my right hip have been damaged and stretched causing the symptoms. She also gave me a name for it but I can't remember what it is...I must go back and find out.
It's payback for all the diabetic insulin shots I have given people over the years. LOL. The cost of your plan sounds so much better. I also heard that the "Vein Center" is now doing the shots. I should have price shopped before having it done. Any of you done botox? Hey, I'm on a self improvement roll!! It's that middle age thingy.
they just keep multiplying, i have 6 ribs that have been broken since 2004, (nonunions, refuse to heal) and my clavicle is plated and the bone just rebroke as well. I can bend down to tie my shoes and break a rib. Its just depressing I suppose. I hurt every day and its increasing....I feel like i am going downhill....,these nodules just put the icing on the cake for me. Keep me up to date w/urs and Il do the same.
