Common Questions and Answers about Diabetic shoes seattle

diabetes

Avatar f tn I used to live in Washington and commute to Seattle every week day at 5am, in the wet, cold. This was the worst the pain has ever been. After I moved to California, the pain lessened and became less frequent. Other than these correlations I've noticed, I can't find any reason why the pain shows up or what is causing it. On average, the pain occurs in at least 5 days during any month. More in the winter, and more if I'm visiting Washington (state).
Avatar n tn for two years, and from the beginning, he hasn't lost ANY weight! And his doctor had him taking 1000mg AM, and PM. He is diabetic. I think you changing what you're eating, the amount you eat, and walking more often is the reasons why you loose weight! And also, it is VERY, VERY unhealthy to loose 19LBS in 1 week! If that's what is happening you should eat more Cal's! I've never meet a doctor who would be OK with ANYONE losing that much so fast!
Avatar n tn I noticed I got them when I was walking around in the street for a couple hours, then coming home and noticing them when I took my socks off. [I was wearing shoes that day too.] I only noticed I had some on my hip a few hours later. I haven't gone to the doctor yet since it was only recent, so should I or will it just fade away overtime?
Avatar f tn Ask anyone with long-term sobriety like our dominosarah. Commitment to aftercare is as necessary to an addict as insulin is to a diabetic. I totally understand your fears and anxiety. It's normal. Keep telling yourself that! The way you deal with it is to get to Nar-Anon or Al-Anon, get your own sponsor and work your own recovery program. Don't knock it till you try it. There are people in exactly your same shoes and they're there to help you out. You can help them too.
Avatar n tn Or do your feet sweat or itch a lot from the shoes? These are reactions that come and go. But one thing is for sure folks. Plastic allergy is very real. Although mild for most compared to other synthetics, or higher quality plastics. This condition I have is called Allergic contact dermatitis. Defined as a delayed reaction from contact with an allergen. However the sweating in not delayed, or at least fairly quick compared to the rashes, redness, swelling, and other syptoms.
Avatar n tn There is something in my body chemistry that apparently changed since this was not an issue a few years back- it's not a matter of anything external like lotions or the soap I use. Not diabetic- I do have acid reflux and coincidentally I think the issue may have been around about the same amount of time as the acid reflux although I don't believe that could be it or everyone with acid reflux would atract insects- but I could be wrong.
Avatar n tn This is the first Web site I've found where there are people with the same symptoms that I have. I am a 32 year old male who lives in Seattle, WA. I have Thalassemia minor and suffer mainly from ongoing fatigue. I am ALWAYS tired, no matter how well I eat or what vitamins I take. Doctors tell me that I'm fine and "just need to avoid Iron and do some aerobic exercise." I would exercise if I had the energy to. It's comforting to see postings from people all over the world.
Avatar f tn Just to answer a few questions ... Never had any children never mind an epidural, no carpal tunnel, no headaches, no lumps and no side effects on Neurontin. I've never had allergies before but I'm pretty convinced this is brought on by something in the environment. It is VERY seasonal for me (August/September to February/March). A long time. I live in a moderate climate where it's never really hot and it rarely goes below freezing (Victoria, BC, think Seattle).
Avatar n tn I was wondering if they always do the HCG trigger shot before an IUI. I am taking clomid and metformin (not diabetic though). Its so surreal knowing that there is the possibility that sometime this week, we could be making a baby! lol Good luck to you all and baby dust to everyone!!!!!
