That said, there are also different sources for diabetic diet plans which you can check out. One is the American Diabetes Association's website (www.diabetes.org), which has plenty of nutritional information, including diet plans and recipes.

Next, I think you need to look at some different options for management. Some of the things you listed that really bug you about diabetes is the scheduling, and snacking etc. There are so many treatment options and a lot of them do not require this.
The one thing that is constant in any management program is carb counting and of course taking insulin, but I'm confident you can find some freedom by switching to a different plan.

t have personal experience with this one, but I work in health care. Is there a diabetes education clinic or group in your area? They can be very helpful in helping you control your sugar levels. Some women can control it with food but not all. That all depends on your results. Your Dr will give you guidance as far as if you need insulin or another medication. But it will be alright, you have a diagnoses and this is something that is treatable. Take care.
My sister 45 years old has myopia (-6 dp) growing continuously and is using corrective glasses since 10 years old. They called me yesterday and said the test was high and they want me to come take a three hour one to see if I have diabetes. They also said I can't eat after ten the night before I go. Could I have diabetes because I'm pregnant? If so will it go away? I'm over weight, Im barely 5'1 and I weigh 180.
Well I sure hoope it's a real lousy job that can drive you into bankruptcy.. Uur Son's Medical needs have just begun.. Throw in a Insulin PUmp ( $6,000) and other $10,000 yr for just Maintenance Care , btwn Dr.'s, Lab fees, Med supplies such as 250 test strips a month to Insulins, Eye exams, etc..
And you and your husband can get insurance, but not your son.. T1's are UnInsureable..in most states and in ones that offer it, the premiums run $7-$12k yr..

Maybe a good diabetes educator will be more helpful in this area of diabetes and weight. I appreciate your recommendations. I agree with you that my Drs standard answer was unacceptable. She is an endocrinologist but her personality is left to be desired elsewhere. Yes diabetes is getting more complex as I gain more years in progressing with this disease.
There is high risk for the baby if u go past 40weeks. I can't remember the exact issues that happen. Bit I do remember rachyrou talking about it. For you babies sake they induce.
Avoid heavy meals. Take small frequent meals. This will help with diabetes too. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones.
