cytomel and phentermine

My doctors suggest that I take Phentermine but im taking levothyroxine 88mg and Cytomel 5mg due to thyroidectomy 3 years ago and I have gain weight due to hypothyroidism. Have anyone tried the phentermine while on levothyroxine and Cytomel?

I just went to an endocronologist and he has put me on Cytomel and then I'm already on Synthroid and Celexa. In two weeks he is wanting me to start on Phentermine. I have had lots of weight gain. I'm a little concerned about these BIG changes, but I do want help. Has anybody heard of this combination in meds?

Hello, I have Hypothyroidism and have been trying to lose 10lbs for the past couple of years, I spoke to a pharmacist and she suggested I ask my doctor for Phentermine. Has anyone tried this before and is it safe with taking Amour Thyroid 180mg. I'm 5'8" and weigh 152 and want to be 143, I work out 6x's a week cardio for 45-60 mins. and every other day 30 mins weight lifting.

Please post the reference ranges for the above lab values. Ranges vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own report for the best comparison. Are those labs from before you began the cytomel or since you've been taking it? I have no idea why your doctor would say you "don't need" T4, since that's the first medication prescribed when one has hypothyroidism. It's very rare to be prescribed cytomel by itself and then only under very special conditions.

The other endos tell me that I need to get off the ctyomel immediately as it causes heart problems and osteoporosis in menopausal women. The endo that put me on cytomel told me that these endos were full of sh**!! And that he himself has been on cytomel for years, so why would he put himself on a drug that risks his heart? I am torn as to who is right here.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.

I have some spotting and cramps. I am sure it will be a rough one! I did stop the phentermine over the weekend and started back yesterday(Monday). Maybe thats what triggered it....who knows. Being a woman shouldnt be this much stress and hard work!

I have used adipex(phentermine) and have had the B12 shots before and it was awesome. That was before I had kids and moved to NC and then to SC where I currently reside. I have had two kids and Im approximately 45 lbs overweight. My daughter is 7 months old and I know they say to give it the same amount of time it took to put it on. I am on 25 mcg cytomel and 75 mcg levothyroxine. I was thinking of making an appointment with a new endo and going off my meds for a week hoping to increase my tsh so I can continue getting my meds otherwise I do not know what to do. My psychiatrist will continue with the cytomel for I do not know how long and I have nobody to prescribe the levo anymore.

My numbers have normalized and 7 months later I still can not loose the extra weight I have 25lbs extra. I just recently started taking Phentermine 30 mg from a different Dr. and it seems to have helped my IBS symptoms (somewhat) and I have only lost 4 lbs. I feel most of it was excess water weight since my edema has reduced in my lower legs. I exercise 5 days a week which includes: cardio and weights (no heavier than 5 lbs).

I am supposed to start these tomorrow but am a little concerned if Phentermine and a Beta Blocker can be taken safely together under my certain circumstances and if I should have any concerns regarding my already strained heart, while on something like Phentermine? I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious . I already take a anti anxiety med clonazepam for accational panic attacks.

I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.

Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. I was not on a ketogenic diet. After that visit i have been extremely ill. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. blood sugar dropping rapidly when after exercise.

I agree with msme7..................except, maybe you need to come down off it slowly, rather than "cold turkey". Talk to your doctor............. Once you get off it, please feel free to come back and let us help you lose your weight the healthy way.........

Im getting the B-12 and lipo shots as well. Maybe I will still get results if I stop taking the phentermine and stick to the shots. Does anyone have any feedback or advice.

HI!I AM STARTING ON THE PHENTERMINE PILLS AND I WAS JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAS DRANK ENERGY DRINKS, (RED BULL, MONSTER, ETC...) WHILE USING PHENTERMINE AND IF SO DID THIS INCREASE THE EFFECTS IN A STRANGE WAY? I JUST DO NOT WANT TO CHANCE IT IF THAT IS THE CASE. ANY RESPONSES WILL BE APPRICIATED.

One of my kids has taken phentermine and it did help a little. However she has just this week learned she has hypothyroidism and that may be another reason her metabolism is sluggish. She is now on thyroid medicine and hoping it may be somewhat helpful in the big picture. Wish I could be more helpful. I hope you get answers soon. Good luck!

I’ve been on Phentermine for 8 days and noticed tingling and numbness in hands and feet yesterday

I started Phentermine and B-12 in Feb 2012 I lost 4lbs the first two weeks. 6.5 lbs the 2nd two weeks and none the 3rd two weeks. It then took me 3 weeks to lose 3 more lbs. I am scared to weigh myself tomorrow in fear that I haven't lost my goal is 165. I am interested in hearing how others journey has went and if phentermine will continue to work for me for at least 6 mos.
