Contractions in the second trimester

Common Questions and Answers about Contractions in the second trimester

contractions

My labor was more persistent and was higher...in the abs and stomach, not in the pelvic area. You are at a stage where the pelvic and vaginal are will be stretching and tightening more to hold the weight of the baby. Sounds to me like you are fine.
When BH contractions are less than 6 minutes apart at any point in pregnancy, then it can lead to labor, especially once you're in your third trimester or at the end of your pregnancy. Since you say they are not painful yet, you are probably only in the very beginning of labor, the first stage.
I also start to feel better and better each day, someday I feel I am back to normal and almost like I am not pregnant. We are in the second trimester which I heard people call the "Golden Period" of pregnancy, so enjoy.... eternidad, zuz, aweeonetolove, I heard the coldness. Where I am is very very cold, the highest temp. was only -21 last week, we get snow almost everyday, it is so depressing. eternidad, don't you miss the warm sunny day in F.L.?
The only other thing that the radiologist told me is that I have a lot of fibroids, and the biggest one was 6 cm in length. One of them is in the posterior as well. In the first trimester I did have some bleeding but that was diagnosed coming from a polyp that was right at the cervix. That bleeding turned to small spotting and that was all of it. Then during my last phase of the 17 week I noticed that discharge was different than what I was having before, it was more watery.
i go back to him on the 30th of this month and this will be my last time and then that day he will be giving me my referral to the other doctor up in the tricities for my VBA2C!! im so excited. i told my doctor about the braxton hicks i had and he told me that they were contractions just braxton hicks so its a stronger braxton hick than a normal one. i dont know if that makes since to you ladies=).
I am just as tired in my 2nd as I was in the 1st!!! I NEVER got the burst of energy. I keep looking for it to kick in!
Which trimester was the hardest to deal with ?
For me though, I have just been soo exhausted! Second trimester i had soo much energy but now its like I barely have any. First trimester i was a bit tired, but third its way more lol. Also, ive been having more of my belly button hurting (which i heard is just the uterus expanding to make room for baby). Those are really the big two i have went through. My acid reflex came back this week (im 33 weeks now).
I had other complications so I was scheduled for inducement but he started naturally a day before but b/c of heartbeat issues (nothing with the placenta) they had to do an emergency C-section right in the end. The bleeding had stopped around week 28 but I was on pills through. Please look for another opinion, do not give up on your baby and do not take this lightly.
I couple days ago I started having 3-4 bowel movements a day. The second day I would get nauseated after having a bowel and now starting last night into today I started to cramp and feel nauseated after a bowel movement but they only last a few seconds. I am 34 weeks pregnant and just wondering if it could be braxton hicks, contractions, or something else?
I'm sure all could change though in the remaining 9 weeks I have left fingers crossed this wont be the case however!
I know every women is different im just wondering things i should look for when the 3rd trimester hits. What happen for you ladys in the 3rd trimester ???
I've heard that you can feel Braxton-Hicks contractions sometime in the second trimester, if you know what you're feeling (i.e., if you have been pregnant before and can distinguish them from general aches and pains and muscles stretching).
26th and having a lot of contractions! My first son will be 4 on Oct. 6th so I'm just trying to keep this little guy in until after Oct. 6th!!!
I hope I wont feel too much like ****. My second trimester has been wonderful. Im just afraid that the third trimester will hit me hard.
This is the first time I've ever made it this far in a pregnancy so I wanted to know if others go through this or if in the first trimester you don't feel hardly anything and then the second starts feeling like the first? My nipples have also gotten rather tender all of a sudden too...
Hi, i've had a bit of a scare this morning, when i had some bright red blood on my tissue. I thought i was past having to worry about that being 'safely' in the second trimester. I know some bleeding is normal in the first trimester with implantation, but not seen anything about 2nd trimester. I'm 14 weeks 5 days.
I'm encouraged to drink the tea any time in my pregnancy. However the EPO is usually recommended the last weeks of pregnancy as far as I remember. The EPO is to help soften the cervix. I was told to take one pill vaginally. Then when I reached 38 or 39 weeks they recommended one vaginally and one orally. My water broke 3 days post my due date and baby girl was born 5 hours later without tearing.
I think that is pretty common for second trimester.. I hadn't noticed any changes in smell until the other day, I woke up late for work and because I had an early meeting, I had to skip my shower. I changed undies and was even wearing a skirt, so everything was getting plenty of air, but when I went to the bathroom, I noticed a distinct odor coming from "down there".... lol as you put it.. I guess it just comes with the territory!!
28 weeks today offically in third trimester. Now that its almost over I want to do it all over again!! Sykee. Jk haha im over it so ready to have my little boy! Second trimester symptoms from hell: weight gain, flem, and food cravings!! Still waiting on my "big pregnant boobs" i got ripped off! How are all the may mommies doingg??
And yes some stuff does happen in the 2nd and 3rd trimester as well, but it's not nearly the same as or as high of a percentage as in the first. In the 2nd trimester things that go wrong are generally issues with your body and reproductive organs, or the baby's organs are functionined properly. For example your cervix can't sustain the pregnancy. In the 3rd trimester could be things like a cord accident or just some freaky thing that goes wrong.
it's all the more frustrating because I know the weight really starts to pack on in the third trimester, I gained 65 pounds with my first, most in the last few weeks.
