concerta and working out

My son was on concerta and adderall and they both can cause seizures. I would ask doctor to you for an egg and make sure you are not having seizures.Witch is a side effect to concerta and can not be reversed .They can only give you medicine to try and control the seizures. I wish we had never put my son on these medicines.

I have taken her to therapy and we are now trying medication (Concerta 36mg). Nothing seems to be working and the aggression is worsening. I love my baby girl and it is breaking my heart to see her so unhappy all the time. We are doing everything that is recommended in therapy (behavior charts, ect) and still no progress. She is a very friendly, outgoing & intelligent when she is behaving.

As far as I know, the only two are intuniv and concerta. They use different formulations. No clue which is better. I think it probably depends on the individual. Both do take a while to take effect (compared to a stimulant). If you google them, you will be able to see lots of anecdotal posts on how it worked for that poster or their children. I kind of wonder if his Concerta dose is high enough? The doc will typically start you out low and wait to see how things are going. Also wonder when you remarked about other disorders if you have ever checked out Sensory Processing disorder. Your remarks about the tactile things rang a bell for me. In addition I am tapering off diazepam and down to 2mg in the morning and 1 at night. Everytime I try to get off the concerta I get terrible anxiety from it. I have it to a degree while on it also. I want off but my dr who takes 3 weeks to get into anyway, won’t switch me to a med I can taper off of. I know 3 weeks is a short time compared to what most of you have been through. But can someone please tell me how long my withdrawals are going to last??

I am usually hyperactive, hilarious, very out going and outspoken and now i just want to stay in bed and not talk to anyone. Is this what the limictal is supopse to do? Make me a zombie. I am annoying myself! I am seeing my doc in 3 weeks again but i'm scared that if i go and ask him to take me off it, he'll just up the meds again. Any suggestions? I'm so tired of just going back and forth to the doc again and changing the meds the whole time! Any comments will be appreciated.

ve been prescribed a generic version of adderall 10mg once a day. From what I read this is amphetamine. My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.

TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT ADDING CLONADINE AT BED TIME. WE HAD TO DO IT FOR MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER BECAUSE SHE WAS ACTING LIKE HER MEDS WEREN'T WORKING ANYMORE, AND IT HELPED ALL THE WAY AROUND. IT HELPS MAKE THE CONCERTA WORK LIKE IT SHOULD, IT HELPS THEM SLEEP INSTEAD OF THE CONCERTA WEARING OFF THEN THEM NOT BEING ABLE TO FALL ASLEEP UNTIL LATE AT NIGHT, AND IT IS SUPPOSED TO HELP WITH THEIR APPETITE. THAT SEEMS TO BE PRETTY NORMAL TOO. GIVE IT A SHOT.

t go back to Vyvanse - he became a bit more aggressive and over-emotional when he was on it in the end. That is when they switched him to Concerta. The doctor said she was going to move him to Plain Methylphenidate (20mg / Twice a Day) but it will be for (3) times a day at 15mg. She is hoping since it's similar to Concerta it will work for him. They also mentioned taking the script to Wal-Mart and I wouldn't have to pay alot for it. Do you know if that's true?

8years old} with ADHD who is 5 years old and weighs normal weight for his age and he was started on concerta last week and that was the nedication and 18mg was the dose hebwas prescribed. I also have a.d.d and have stronger medication than that. So you may want to speak to doctors about changing medication or for dose increase. Good luck.

He started a weaning of the Concerta and wants it off in 3 weeks, and increased the Intuniv to 3 mg and kept Zoloft and Risperdal the same. My son has now started to have horrible motor tics again....is this common when weaning off a stimulant ? Also My son has gained at least 14 lbs in 2.

I was diagnosed with ADHD (to add to my list of other mental health issues) at the age of 21 and was put on Concerta as treatment. Well, three years has passed and my dosage has increased to 108 mg/morning. At 72 mg I started developping speech problems and then they worsened at 90 mg. my psychiatrist was very dubious to put me on ADD medication as im an ex crystal meth addict. obvious reasons. ive been clean for 8 years now and have been on concerta for almost a year. but i am bipolar and have very bad anxiety. concerta works very well for my ADD but not for my anxiety, is there a better way to get the best of both worlds?

Concerta is a methylphenidate based medicine, while Vyvanse is an amphetamine based med. Usually you go to an amphetamine based because your methylphenidate is not working for you. The only possible reason I can think of to take both would be to turn off your mind at night so you could go to sleep and stay asleep.

Im a 19 years old boy and i have tried vyvanse which did miracles at first at 20mg until the effect decreased and had to go up to 60mg with no effects except the bad ones and went back to my old self(lazy, tired, unmotivated etc.). I have a 6 year old only child with ADHD, she are in the top of he class academically, but socialy she is falling apart, by interrupting all time in the class room, not following rules, being overly loud and out on the playground more or less being a bully. was diagnosed with adhd about 2 mos ago and my doctor put me on 36mgs of concerta it seems to help with the impulse control, but I am still having an issue with my mind being in a thousand different places. I also have a seven year old son who was also diagnosed with adhd about a week ago and because of his size he is also on 36mg of concerta and it is making him calmer at home, but when I talked to his teacher today she said that she is not seeing any improvement at all.

Tried ritalin (normal), ritalin SR, Concerta and amphetamine. Concerta gave me something but felt something missing, normal ritalin was terrible, OD and came into "cocain waves" (very high, and straight to the bottom), amph gave me more but I didn´t eat, and felt a bit anxious, ritalin SR was, and is my favourite, works as a charm.

The bar exam is on July 24th-26th, 2017. I have never taken Concerta everyday for this long before, and I know that daily use is not encouraged. However, I feel that taking it daily would allow me to prepare for the exam to the best of my ability. The amount of information I need to learn is substantial, as is the difference in my ability to study for long hours on and off the medicine.

She is now on 18mg of Concerta and 10mg of Aderall. What can we expect from this increase and is this combination to high of a doseafge for a 70 puond 9 yr. old.

We tried putting my 9 year old son (who has ADHD) on Concerta about a month ago and after about 4 days, he started frequently rolling his eyes involuntarily up and to the right. We took him off immediately, but the symptoms have persisted. I'm not sure if it was caused by the Concerta, as he'd previously been on it for a month about a year ago and did not display the eye rolling. Does anyone know if there is a correlation, and if this is something that will stop?

hi, concerta ,and stratara, and all the others my doc put me on didn't come close to adderall. focalin worked to but was costly. adderall leavels your brain, and lets you be yourself. the way your supose to be.
