t stop sweating until 10pm at night. I am not talking about normal sweating I am experiencing extreme sweats where I have a sweat rag by me all day and sweat through my clothes and my hair is constantly soaked for the sweat. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. Does anyone know what the hell is wrong with me? Is there anything I can take or do to get this sweating to stop? I really would appreciate anyone's input on this.

while on methadone for 10 years I was taking a quite high dose of clonidine for excessive sweating. The doctor told me to continue on the clonidine and we would taper down on that once I was on a stable dose of suboxone. He said there are no harmful interactions between the two. But whenever I take the clonidine it feels like it is kicking me into withdrawal again. severe agitation anxiety racing heart dizziness and double vision. Whats going on please?
I had a 15 norco a day habit, two at a time. I am on day 5 of clonidine, but am craving so badly that I just cry. All these triggers. Getting in the car, before I eat, before I get out of bad. I just don't get out of bed anymore, but the WDs (sweating etc) are basically gone. I had this addiction for almost 10 years. I guess I have a bad reason for stopping, not really because I want to, but because it has gotten to be too difficult jugling doctors. I never bought off the street or online.
I am on the dreaded day three and feeling miserable and have yet to sleep more than two hours a day. Clonidine-if you can get a script for it helps me with the sweats a bit-it definitely curbs them.
Has anyone on here tried the blood pressure medicine Clonidine to help w/ physical withdrawals? I do not have a doctor I trust, so I ordered a prescription from Mexicao and am waiting to receive it. Has this really helped anyone out there? I read that it makes you really tired; is it too tired to function?
Please help. I completely fell off of the wagon a few weeks ago and am desperate now.

I finally managed to quit the opioids,and clonidine helped so much.But now I need to taper it,so it does not spike my blood pressure,and avoid the sweating that I get when I forget a dose.I'm taking 800 mg a day,200 mg /6hrs.

But overall very excited to be done with pills. My biggest issue is SWEATING. Took my son to the mall the other day, 15 degrees outside, and had to leave because I sweating so bad! Its also happening during sleep. PLEEEASE if you have any tips, fill ME IN! THX!
Hello, I am not quite familiar w/clonidine but I wouldn't risk anything that is potentially addictive. Now that you have the "addictive personality" you will have a good potential of being addicted to other drugs. Keep going day 4 means you are pretty much all done w/ the major physical w/d's.
The main thing I am experiencing is some nausea, weakness but most of all sweating! I have read that some people take clonidine but I don't know what this is and I sure don't want to get hooked on anything else. I am taking Aleve and using pain patches for my back pain. My question is -how long is this going to take me and should I ask my general practitioner for something to help me? Thanks so much.
anyone had experience taking clonidine for sleep issues? i have high blood pressure (and clonidine is a blood pressure med), but my doctor is mainly prescribing it for me as a SLEEP AID to try to keep me off of the benzos for sleep purposes (which have always worked so well for me!)....i'm curious about two things though.....one, how much has anyone taken strictly for sleep purposes? and two, have you had ANY problems stopping it if you want/need to?
I am coming off a 2 year rune on heroin. i am about 2 days in and have some clonidine from the doc. I am not going back to detox again. I have kicked cold turkey and made it three years. addiction sucks. I am a t work now and thursday is the test when i get paid. my doc tried to prscribe suboxene, but is not certified. I am trying to find a doc in the bucks county,pa area that will take on patients. my nose is runing, i am sweating and have to go the bathroom every 20 mins.
The clonidine worked wonders for my chills, sweating, heart palpitations and even my anxiety. I took it round the clock every 6 hours the first 3 days then just went to PRN after that. I think the pills are better because if your BP is too low you just don't take another pill, whereas if you have the patch on, even if you take it off you still have the long acting drug working. I didn't need much phenergan as I really didnt have a problem with nausea as much as loss of appetite.
Last night after being in pain all day (lower back that went down my legs and feet and tingling feelings all over my body and sweating oh the sweating and freezing) I finally took a 0.1mg clonidine and was able to sleep a good 12+ hours. I woke up this morning around 10am (went to be around 7pm or earlier not sure of the time) and felt really good for about a hour and then it slowly came back it is just now getting to the untolurable stages again (it is 325pm).
She will feel sick for about 5 days - flu like symptoms (aches, pains, runny nose, restless legs, hot/cold flashes, sweating, stomach problems) and then start to feel better...
I am not sure of any complication that would occur with the diabetes but I would definitely suggest going to see a doctor to discuss it. A good doctor will help and give suggestions.. Where is she getting the meds? She should speak to the doctor prescribing her the meds..
I was also wondering if anyone new about incorporating Clonidine HCL 0.1MG with a tapering schedule to detox off of Norco 10/325? I take 15mg. a day, or 5mg three times a day and would like someone to provide me with a slow tapering schedule to detox off of this medication that also uses Clonidine to help reduce the detox withdrawl symptoms. I am presently going through withdrawl symptoms everyday such a muscle and bone pain, sweating, mood changes, etc.
do you by chance mean clonidine? I started taking it a day after I took my last vic...yes, it makes you sluggish, and combining it with the vics may enhance that (as I found out with combining it with klonopin) and
also dry mouthed. Keep a supply of hard candies around to pop in your mouth to help with that. Ultimately, clonidine was a tremendous help
in reducing/nearly eliminating the withdrawl symptoms.
After only a day or so without snorting some he goes into horrible withdrawls (shaking, cant sleep, sweating, very ill, etc.) everytime he stops completely. I heard that clonidine can help reduce the worst affects of withdrawls but was unsure about possible addiction to that or side effects. I head that low blood pressure could be a major isse since clonidine is primarily a blood pressure medication. The last thing he wants is another cycle of replacing an addiction with a new addiction.
Armpit sweating or as its known as axillary sweating is another form of excessive sweating. You can use dusting powders whenever you go out to absorb the sweat.

The armpit area has two types of sweat glands, eccrine and apocrine glands. The eccrine glands will be affected by sympathectomy and not so for the apocrine glands.
feel much more relaxed, I also have clonidine but Im saving that for bedtime, I also kinda fear taking the clonodine, as I already have such low blood pressure, but the doctor told me that this is ok, what I really must check is my pulse, if its lower then 50 beats per minute I shouldnt take it, other wise its ok.
I posted this in my long long post about opioid withdrawals but no luck so I thought I would do a new thread....
I am coming off percocet 7.5\325 2 - 5 x a day and oxy 20 mg 2 - 3 x a day for the past couple years. I have a script for clonidine .1 which isn't doing much so I called my regular doc and he is going to put me on Klonopin ( Dosage unknown until I get script tomorrow).
From what I can tell these are 2 totally different drugs. Has anyone used Klonopin for opioid withdrawls?
I have suffered severe depression so I started taking Effexor which helped but after months began to have severe downs and ups ; lots of mood changes , excessive sweating and severe hot flashes. I recently have begun to have a rash on my thighs and buttocks. I have gained 20 lbs and exercise more than ever 5x a week.
I found that acupuncture helped w/ some of the symptoms ; however, I got tired of going into another dr. 3x a week.
So I have been seeing an M.D.
