Neurontin can stop the RLS symptoms and help with pain. It is a prescription and I was told you should start low and then build on the medication. However, it all depends on what your doctor thinks.
It worked for me, however, it did have some side effects and I can't take it anymore.

yes yes, I am clean from Vicoden, Antidepresants but still am using a sleep aid, have been using over the counter meds for sleep since the 80's then went to prescription sleep aid and now I only sleep 3 or 4 hours using them. I am going to go off them soon. My Dr would like to see me wait until Jan just because I came off two meds this year and had surgery's but please don't go to prescription sleep aids I think it is harder to get off them than OCT.
i keep getting night (the worst) sweats,and day is terrible too..Here in Brazil everything works different.Clonidine is sold over the counter,and we have no pharmacists to help.Also the docs dont have experience in this,because of the low abuse rate,because we dont have heroin here..Only pain meds,that are seldom prescribed.And i was unfortunate to have a bad doctor that only upped my opioids and is not helping now with the clonidine.
Is there anything over the counter that will get rid of the chills from wd's? I am trying to get off these Oxycodone 15mg pills that I've been on since my surgery and I can't get over the chills. It keeps me going back since it's so strong. I use Gaba for anxiety and it helps a lot and Hylands for RLS but what about the chills? My doc wouldn't prescribe Clonidine so over the counter it must be.
yes the clonidine did help with the anxiety/panic attacks. seriously, this was the hardest thing for me throughout the w/d process. in the begining i took them 4x's a day and after a couple of days i didn't need to take as much. it seems that i'm right behind you with 15 days sober and it does seem to be 2 steps forward and 1 step back, ya know what i mean? however, compared to 1 week ago, i feel soo much better! so i keep plugging along...lol.

There shouldn't be any chemical reactions taking the two together. The combination will not give the methadone a boost or cause any kind of "high".
Is it possible to become addicted to over the counter medications? My 75 year old mother recently moved to my town so that I could help her financially, etc. I have become very concerned about the amount of excederine, prilosec, nasal spray, aleve, and other antacid medicines that she takes. She has a history of bleeding ulcers, she smokes about 2 packs of cigarettes a week, high blood pressure, and other ailments of old age. I didn't realize that she was taking so much of this medicine.
