But the Clonidine brought me into an agitated mixed state and the Tizanidine caused suicidal ideations. Depression is a common side effect of Clonidine and unlike naturally occuring depression medication enduced depression is hard to watch out for because it creeps up on you. But some people I know did well on Clonidine but its often not well tolerated. It really all depends.

It really works. It will not make you 100% the same as if you were taking the percs but it helps with anxiety, sleeplessness and overall feeling like crap. My doctor gave me 1.0 milligrams with a refill. She is awesome. Yesterday was my full day 2 from all addictive substances (day 9 from Vicodin) and I had some anxiety late afternoon and evening. Took a pill each time and I was fine. Slept a full 8 hours.

I told my suboxone doc last time I was in to see him that I was having a lot of anxiety even with my depression meds and suboxone so he prescribed my Clonidine twice a day- 0.1mg Has this med worked on others?? I know it is used for other things and I just dont see a difference, but know I cant have too much cause its for BloodPressure as well, right?? I dont know,.. So if anyone can post and we can go from here with questions!!! I would appreciate it! Thanks!

1mg on clonidine this morning. It is not hleping. For those who have used clondine for help with wd, what was your dosing amount? Is .1mg a low amount? Should that be helping her at this point? Does anyone know the usually dosing amounts to help for severe wd or what the max allowable for clonidine? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I know depression can vary in how it occurs and I would be interested to know if people have experienced dissociation during depression because that how it usually appears in me. The Clonidine patch I am is very helpful but it runs out after 5 days (that's my specific titration, it usually is for 7 days) so it returns after a few days.

Ask your doctor for Clonidine. It's an old blood pressure med that helps with withdrawals. (And nerve pain.) I think the way you tapered you'll find it will help a lot. For sleep, Melatonin may help or Alteril. Both are all natural and don't cause any dependence.

Anyway I was blessed that my husband has my back and that he had clonidine for blood pressure(also works for lowing adrenaline).I took that3-5times a day,xanax I'm prescribed as well and prescribed sleeping meds(although I still had SOME sleepless nights).I went C/T from them felt really bad for a few days(if u can get clonidine it works wonders).NO OPIATES for16-17days now.I feel great now.I'm also on cymbalta(for depression but they have a non narcotic pain reliever too).

i got out of 30-day treatment for opiates, then fractured my wrist the next day and back on percocets. i am getting my cast off tomorrow and am out of pills except for a couple. i have klonopin. clonidine, lyrica and neurontin. am very scared- can't believe this happened. should i take one-half percocet along with other drugs to help withdrawal? i am mostly scared of extreme depression i get with withdrawal.

Hello I am 17 years old and I have just been diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety disorder. I've always had anxiety attacks since I was in middle school but now I'm having severe panic and anxiety attacks. And I just don't feel myself anymore. So a doctor put me on med's; Celexa for my depression, Clonidine for my A.D.D, and Klonopine for my panic and anxiety.

i am 15. i have had isues with depression and anxiety. tonight the skin on my legs started to randomly feel like it was burning. it reminded me of how my legs felt when i used nair...it had burnd my pores. anyway....i thought i saw red marks. but when i asked my dad...who is a doctor...he dismissed me and told me to go to bed...when i lay down it started to feel worse...i started freaking out. my parents are really mad at me for waking them whith what they decided is nothing important.

Clonidine is amazing for withdrawal. Taking .2 mg is extremely hard to stay awake on for the first hour.

With wd depression does intensify as does the anxiety,, I have found this forum to be a great outlet as there always seems to be somebody to talk to.. Walking and getting out as often as possible to see new sights was probably the biggest help with depression.. I had to force myself most day's but it was well worth it..

Anyone had this combination? Anything to watch out for taking these things? Dr says the combination will help re-stabilize my sleep,,not flat knock me out..The Amitriplyline he says helps with the anxiety and depression associated with the lack of sleep...I just started it last night so I don't have any time to say one way or the other whether or not its effective...

he also has aniexty,adhd,speration disorder,depression. he is on cetirizine 4 allergys,clonidine 4 tourettes, intuniv 4 adhd, mirtazapine 4 depression. did u no that allergys can mak outburst of tourettes worse. my son also has trouble n school, he has an IEP, that helps him. ask 4 an IEP meetin at ur sons school. it helps with longer testn time, breaks durin class, and someone comes n an help with my child bc he has a hard time with get his words on paper, somethin 2 look n2.

hey buddy they are both the same medicine its usually prescribed in low dosage and for mult use through the day and usually combined with clonidine for people going through opiate wd's or mild depression

When I tried to stop the clonidine my pain returned. I tried to just take the clonidine and that didn’t work. Now with the low dose of oxy and clonidine I have relief from the severe pain and can live a more normal life.

I never went off them, but does anyone know if this heps with Vicodin withdrawal? I aso suffer from depression and Wellbutrin is supposed to help with that also. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard many benefis of clonidine and asked for a prescription of .1 mg BID. I also asked for an rx for gabepentin, i know this is for nerve pain but I have heard it used off lable for arthritis. I have also heard it is excellent for treating withdrawal symptoms. My PCP was hesitant to rx this because she has had limited experience with gabepentin, especially for withdrawal/arthritis.

Wow Jeni I'm not sure. The only time I took Clonidine was for my high blood pressure. I've heard that Clonidine helps with a lot of symptoms of withdrawal including cravings. My doctor gave me Zofran 8 mg for nausea. It worked really well. Sorry I can't be of more help. Hang on for a while.

Thus the reason for the foggy head/headache during the acute phase. The clonidine helped immensely and even helps with sleep.

It is really amazing my pain is completely almost gone, with the exception of a little soreness. I have starting weaning myself from the oxy and was going to ask my doc for some clonidine. How much does it really help with the w/d symptoms?

hi.....i have never used clonidine but it's suppose to be for high BP and also can be used for anxiety from what i've read. I am on a diff med for high BP. Good luck and hope it works for you! i've read that it helps alot of people calm down thru WDs.
