clonidine and weed

i suffered with RLS from a very young age and tried everything possible to stop it, but i can promise you now the only thing that works is smoking weed. i started smoking weed at 16 and straight away RLS stopped, i am now 45 and recently stopped smoking weed and the RLS came straight back, but from 16 to the first day i gave up weed i never suffered a single night, THIS IS NOT A JOKE, i know how bad RLS is.

I have talked to my Dr about the withdrawal symptoms and, I am not kidding, he literally just told me to find someone who smokes weed and to start smoking weed to help with the withdrawal and anxiety. First of all, I don't smoke weed, I have asthma (which the Dr knows), and even if I did, I sure don't have the money for that.

To a point to where if I wasn’t smoking I wouldn’t be high. Weed made me energized and relaxed at the same time. Now with it legal, the delta 8,9 & 10 so confusing for me, and Ima try CBD see how that goes. I know it is a possibility. I ordered VOACATOX from pushfourth *******. It’s one of those too good to be true products, but it’s also has 3 ingredients in it. 1 of them is known to help withdrawal. A lot of people who here about kratom and addiction might laugh.

I do have access to meds from my pharmicist and I just want to see if anyone knows any names of some meds that will help me end this vicious cycle or if anyone has any other suggestions. I have valium and clonidine right now and a bag of weed in case I need it because I heard it helps with the withdrawls. Thank you for taking the time to read through this, I really appreciate this.

Monday night I took four 5mg pills in an eight hour period and smoked weed as well. I began to feel nauseas and threw up, then went to bed. I woke up Tuesday morning with a migraine and violently threw up multiple times. I said to myself that day that I wouldn't do oxy anymore. I took my last 5mg pill Tuesday night to deal with the onsetting depression and try and sleep. I am just wondering if the stomach pains and high blood pressure are normal?

Has anyone any experience with Clonidine and Lassix in pregnancy? Do they cause miscarriages?

As Lulu747 I also used clonidine while tapering off opiates and just wanted off and went cold turkey over a year ago. (morphine sulfate and fentanyl patch). The clonidine did help with my w/d symptoms as well.

as regards liver i have no idea, try to google oxidative stress and weed, if weed can increase oxidative stress it is definitely bad Is it as dangerous as alchohal? no, alcool can be much more dangerous than hbv itself even on those with no hbv.

my son takes clonidine, he has adhd and the drugs he takes to treat the adhd stop him sleeping so he takes the clonidine for that. didnt know it could be used to help with w/d's, apparently clonidine started life as a treatment for high blood pressure but now has many uses. dont know if there are w/d's from clonidine but my sons doc told us never to take him straight of it because it would cause his blood pressure to rocket.

it will be like the flu though. you will have sneezing and yawning and stomach issues. you do fine though,. keep posting. it s good to know others have been there. i was takinf abot 120-160 a day and quit c/t. you can do this.

Hello, yes I have been taking this combination of Vyvanse (70mg per day in the am) and Clonidine (0.2mg in the afternoon and 0.2mg at night). I highly prefer Vyvanse over adderall because I do not suffer from side effects w/Vyvanse as with the adderall. The Vyvanse is much smoother than most all other adhd drugs. I have never experienced shortness of breath while taking Vyvanse, however, I am 25 years old and 180lbs. I am also a Registered Nurse.

t answer on the pot front - I live in California and the weed here (even medicinal) is so freaking strong, it gives me panic attacks. Best of luck and keep us posted on how you are doing!

t want to go back to same clinic and I no longer had much money for it anyway. I did research and ordered Clonidine, Atarax, and Catapres from an online pharmacy which would ship without Rx. Results weren't very positive. Clonidine didn't do much for me, Atarax helped me sleep a bit and Catapres didn't do a while lot either. I don't remember the dose I took of Clonidine but they were .15mg pills, so I prob took one twice a day.

My son is ADHD and was having alot of trouble sleping at night and was prescribed clonidine. It had not affect on him and he continued to wake up and wander during the night. I discovered that this medication is a blood pressure medication and our pediatrician was not monitoring him while he was on this. We also have tried the melatonin and he was up to 3mg a night and it had no affect.

Ive always liked to use clonidine when I was detoxing, it did help relax me and lessen some of jittery,nervous energy. Hopefully the clonidine helps ease some of the symptoms, I would also get some immodium, some short of short term sleeping aid and lots of fluids. The vitamins and amino acids can really help with getting some energy, but thats all up to you. I wish you the best of luck, you can do this!

t have good health insurance and a standard physician prescribes their psychiatric medications which is not advisable. I am assuming you are seeing a psychiatrist and as for Clonidine and Effexor interacting I have not heard of that one but you should ask them to look it up. They all have a PDR and more importantly I know my psychopharmocologist has a palm pilot where he can look up any medications and see how they interact and has access to information that only a physician would.

I ran out two weeks early. I was honest with my dr and he put me on clonidine 3 pills a day for 3 days and a patch. It worked I almost feel like my old self. When he refills my meds next week I'm going to not take them unless I am in extreme pain. Learned my lesson!

I am already starting to get withdrawal symptoms which surprises me as this is not really a small dose. I am going hot and cold and getting hot flashes and really nauseous. My methadone doctor told me that clonidine will help these symptoms, I know some of you have tried it. I was wondering if I should start taking it, I am so uncomfortable. I know this is a slow and low taper, is it worth getting it?

WIkipedia says clonidine is good for reducing sweats and general "unease", but the patient must withdraw carefully from it too, in order to avoid rebound hypertension. Has anyone had experience with this? Did you experience the rebound hypertension after using clonidine? I'm considering asking my doctor for this drug because I'm still experiencing w/d symptoms after 2 weeks w/d. I've not slept for four days, too. Thanks for your help.

I started Clonidine three days ago for very high bp. It causes me to have bad breath and stay very thirsty.. How are you doing with it. Suppose to be on it for a month. Do you have any of this ?

Thank u! I have been thru wd before but from percs and oxys. This time its subs and I've been in them for 4 and a half yrs. I'm trying to prepare myself for what's to come. I've got myself down to 1 mg and plan to go lower but I've heard horror stories when it comes to getting off subs. The worse part of wd for me is the anxiety and chills. My heart races and I get very nervous feeling. I've heard some say clonidine helps when going through wd.

My methadone doctor suggested clonidine for these symptoms, I know some of you have tried it and I was wondering if it helps much, and is it worth even taking? Thanks for your responses...

I take clonidine .2 three times a day and have been for over a year for blood pressure and intially to help with withdrawls as I tapered my dose of methadone down from 100-120mgs a day to 30mg. I still have to take it do to my hypertension, so first thing I would check is his blood pressure, just to make sure that it isnt high. After about 1month of taking clonidine there is hardly any sedating feeling as long as you take it as prescribed, but it can be abused just like any medication.

Thus the reason for the foggy head/headache during the acute phase. The clonidine helped immensely and even helps with sleep.
