in urgent care and prescribed clindamycin e150 mg pills....3 pills 3x per day (12 pills) she is 15 and 119 lbs. Was not diagnosed with ANYTHING. Now we have had a utility, yeast infection, her iron level is at 30, she has passed out over 5 times, cannot sleep has lost weight, major stomach pain etc. urgent care has said it was right meds and right dose. NO WAY!
I'm allergic to penicillin and sulfa. Dentist prescribed Clindamycin 150 mg for 10 days for infection in my tooth. Got hives, rash, swollen lips and extreme itching and blotches from head to toe. Was on vacation so stopped medication after 3 days of taking it. It is now 5 days taking benadryl and the hives and itching have not stopped. What is in the clindamycin that I may be allergic to?
I have clindamycin 300 mg, can I safely double up todays med intake. To be painfree for Christmas plans tomorrow??
The Clindamycin I am taking is 300 mg. I have been taking it since Wed. morning. I take it every 6 hours. The lump under my broken tooth was pretty big. Prior to taking the Clindamycin, I had taken Bactrim for an infection and Augumentin. When the lump started I had taken some Augumentin for about a week. The lump has now been there a total of almost 3 weeks. When I went to the dentist on Wed.
Now I am 20 and I am Male. I used to take some ointments(clindamycin,benzoyl peroxide) but that had only temporary effects. Of late, I have started taking medications on the advice of a doctor who says that I have reached the Gr.IV satge of acne.
It is given as follows: Isotretinoin 20 mg twice daily, body weight being 50 kg.

I have a root infection lower left tooth, was put on clindamycin 150 mg every six hours and told to take Advil for inflammation. The tooth is still very painful, have been on it for 3 days and they scheduled me for a root canal in 3 1/2 weeks time. Is this normal?

Now they want me to take clindamycin HCl for 7 days again!!!??!!!!!! I'm sooooooo confused, frustrated, devastated, im cryinh and all mix nega emotions!!!!
One of the doctors I have seen which include the head of oral medicine at Penn suggests that this could be from the elavil - over the last 6 months I have weened from 50 mg at night to 25 mg at night but no real change in symptoms.One other thing - one day I did not take the first dosage of prevacid and my moth was full of thick white foam. I am at a loss as to where to turn for help. Does anyone have any suggestions?
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.
Hi, I took Clindamycin 300 mg 3x a day. I only finished 12 out of 21 pills as I feared the high risk of colitis associated with this drug. My question is that after stopping the medication about 3 days ago, I am having long (6"+), loose stools. Could this be c. diff? I also have a lot of gas throughout the day, some mild abdominal pain too.
I was diagnosed with an abscess and given clindamycin HCl 300 mg yesterday. Today it was naturally draining on its own but due to where it is located I can't cover it so I couldn't let it continue draining. I ended up pushing/squeezing it too help drain it and a ton of stuff came out (sorry for that nasty imagery). Is this unsafe? Is it possible that I push the infection deeper?

next trip to doctor was 9/22/2012 i was given 150 mg of clindamycin two capsules twice a day for 7 days. This did not cure me either. next doctor visit was 10/06/2012 doctor said i needed a longer treatment so i was given 250 mg of metronidazole and azithromycin for ten days .. this didnt cure me either 10/13/2012 i was given. and doxycycline. this didnt work either.. so i just went again 11/10/2012 and was given tindamax 500 mg 4 pills for single dose. im still not cured.
He has taken a multitude of oral antibiotics --Amoxil 875 Mg 2x day for 14 days, to straight penicillin, Rifampin 300 Mg 2x day for 10 days, Clindamycin. Nothing seems to rid him of these nodules or lower his ASO titer. Overall crummy feeling most of the time. Headaches, leg aches, joint aches, back ache, neck ache. I am now being told he may have an autoimmune disorder. Any suggestions?
She send me an antibiotic (CLINDAMYCIN 300 MG) and told me that I had to get my stitches remove from my redo belly bottom it was reddish and it had pass 20 day after the surgery. Am almost 2 month since my surgery my belly bottom look a little better, but still have some redness , and am getting some bother around my area stomach, or some burning sensation here and there. Am also feeling this bothers around my breast.
t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.
Well Fri night the right side of my lip, under my chin, and half my cheek went numb, and just throbbing pain, so I call the endo sat morning, he sounded a lil panicked by the situation, he called me in a heavy antibiotic (150 mg Clindamycin) and a higher dose of vicodin (7.5-750mg) which IS NOT taking the pain away, my face is still swollen and numb, and still hurting. Has anyone else gone through this, or know what the hell is going on?
I have two failed implants due to infection which did not respond to Clindamycin. I also got a bad reaction to Clindamycin a feeling of big lump in throat, sore throat and severe heartburn. In spite of the fact that I drank at least 10ounces of water with each pill.
My question is since I'm allergic to penicillin. What antibiotic is effective for teeth and gum infections????
