For the last few days directly in the center of my chest where my cleavage is i have a cold sensation, weird tingly sensation. I keep putting my hand there to check it is warm or if clothing is rubbing on it but it is not of course...but most notciceable & worrying. The only other symptoms i have are palpitations.. Can anyone shed light on this?
today my cough is bad and it seems like when I cough or take a deep breath I feel a sensation in my chest area..not a big beat or a skip..(I have had these in the past..had two ekgs and the docs say don't worry oh and I do have anxiety) just a sensation, a fleeting feeling. I have some chest conjestion and alittle short of breath but thats it. I can hear the conjestion..should I be worried and go see the doctor? Thanks in advanced.
For the past week I have had this weird cold sensation in my chest and throat. It feels like I have been eating menthol cough drops all week, which I havent. Any ideas??
In November of 2009 i contracted some form of virus that i had for about a month and a half. The symptoms were diarrhea, flu like symptoms, chest pain (burning and cold like sensations). After a month and a half it went away but about a week ago the chest symptoms seemed to return. Half the time everything is fine, but the other half i am plagued with these horrible hot and cold sensations that seem to be in my lungs. They are also accompanied by terrible abdominal pain, upper and lower.
I have been experiencing cold sensation in my body, when I sit on the edge of my bed or laying down, I feel a cold liquid sensation like I just wet myself but my clothes is never wet. Recently this same liquid sensation feeling now goes across my chest and my stomach. I experience no pain, numbness, or tingling, only the cold liquid. What could this be and what could cause this and is there something I can do to stop or control it. Thanks MedDoc.
I have developed cold sensation range from just cold, cold water to freezer burn cold sensation for different part of my body for 2 months. I start the process of seeing neurology and doing MRI. It is very frustrating.
Have been experiencing recent burning chest, back & limb discomfort corresponding almost precisely to descriptions I've read about costochondritis. It began shortly after a long, hard day of strenuous outdoor activity in cold, dry air. Could all the huffing & puffing in the cold have triggered this, and how long might it take to resolve ? Thanks.
i also sometimes get a sharp short pain in the area and at other times a cold feeling, then at other times the sensation rises to above my belly button to encompass the whole lower chest area in a vertical line. The I also get the sensation of something oozing out in this lower bowel area and also once a week i get a nausea feeling that comes and goes.

It doesn't hurt when I breathe, but it's extremely annoying to feel this constant cold air sensation in my chest/throat/nasal areas I have read on some other forums that this sensation is associated with heartburn/GERD but I don't have symptoms for those ailments so I don't see how I could be suffering from that. Has your condition improved?
My husband has been experiencing some strange cold sensation in his thighs and shoulders over the last 6 months. It appeared during an ordinary cold he got some months ago but it never went away. His GP says it may be some post-viral symptom but his blood tests are perfect and they dont show any recent viral infection. Could this be a neurological problem? He had a brain scan and some sensory tests performed but they all came out OK. Thank you in advance for your help.

Diagnosis for vasovagal attack has to unite with symptoms like sweating, weakness, fainting or syncope, light headedness, continuous chest pain, ringing sensation in the ears, visual disturbances etc.So this cannot be vasovagal attack in your case. As you state that the chest pain occurs when you are extremely tired ,or just by walking for a few minutes, this can be considered as Exertional myocardial ischemia or angina pectoris which may be due to Coronary heart disease or atherosclerosis.
Hi Jeff for the past 9 months i have been experiencing chest tightness (feeling not enough air and need to take deep breaths), lump sensation in lower throat and upper chest heaviness. whenever i lie down on my back my chest tightness and pain is getting worse. i burp a lot from day and night and i feel that my whole of upper digestive tract is full of gas.
It started in my stomach and chest and spread up to my neck and jaw and even ears. It hurt so freaking bad I ran for the cold water and it was instant relief. I don't know how anyone could stand it without the water or I suppose anything cold to drink would work if you drank it fast. I am healthy, exercise regularly and have no medical problems of any kind. This is a mystery, but thank goodness for cold water.
It's not painful just very unpleasant. I feel warm on the outside but cold internally and get this strange feeling which is very hard to describe but it feels like when you see a horror movie and you get goose bumps but this is internally, it doesn't last long but it's not a nice feeling. Feeling stupid trying to explain it to a medical person because I'm not too good at putting things into words at times especially trying to explain odd sensations.
I really worry its my thyroid because my sister has thyroid issues. But she said she had bad chest pains, always cold and tired 24/7. Nothing that i seem to complain about. What if its a tumor? but i dont think it would feel like its coming and going? Could mucus from my nose be running down the back of my throat causing the globus sensation? I know i know i worry to much, i just dont understand why i this is happening to me? Ive always been healthy it seems.
I have now had, for about 2 weeks, the same exact sensation, a vibrating sensation that I could only describe as being in my ***. Very weird. I could feel it when walking down the street, or I could manipulate it by tapping at the base of my back, or even on the area between my penis and anus. I thought, "this is just one of these weird things the body sometimes does", but it is not going away.
I have this same weird feeling and it is difficult for me to breathe This discussion is related to cold sensation in chest and throat.
It sometimes feel like someone is holding a cold can of soda to the back/right side of my neck, or a localized sensation on my chest or shoulder, or like cold water is dripping down the back of my right leg. I automatically go to wipe it off, but nothing is there and my skin feels normal to the touch. It is happening more often and for longer period of time. I am not in any pain with it. I do not feel like I am anxious - other then feeling crazy for having these symptoms lol!
When I inhale, I get a cold feeling in my stomach, and sometimes through out my chest and lungs. It is technically not painful, but is extremely uncomfortable, alnmost like "brain freeze". I haven't able to find any rhyme or reason to this happening. Not sure if this is related, but I get "spine freeze", not brain freeze when I eat something cold. Inother words, I get that painful freeze down my spine, not in my head...
Hi, im a 27 and a non smoker, had the flu/cold last week that has since past, im now suffering a lump like feeing in my throat/ chest with a dry chronic cough and burning sensation from my throat to my chest...Please some advice on this thanks..
For the past 4 or 5 days, I have had a sensation in my chest, neck and throat that is hard to explain. The only way I can describe it is how you might feel after you run outside in extremely cold weather and your lungs and throat burn. I don't feel short of breath, although I feel the urge to cough sometimes. I seem to feel fine in the morning when I get up, but then the feeling returns and lasts all day. I am not having trouble breathing while laying down and am sleeping fine.
