rehab

Avatar f tn You can consult your neurologist regarding this, but it is always good that you go to an outpatient rehab centre as long as you can for you get more personal care there. You can also appoint some one from the centre to give you home visits.
Avatar n tn s pretty blurry at plano, too. Both of my eyes are at plano, and I wear progressive glasses or bifocal contacts just about all the time. You could see what plano is like with a toric contact lens; it would improve your distance vision.
Avatar f tn Physical symptoms is this normal for anxiety? I’m just so frustrated with the physical symptoms and want to know if anyone else feel this type of symptoms I can’t relax I’m always tense and I have to remind myself to relax my shoulders. Can’t concentrate very well Feel dizzy/ mind is fuzzy. Can’t sleep well Strong pulse not rapid just strong.
Avatar f tn I am inclined to getting a new nearsighted lens which is what I am used to and get contact lens for the future since do enjoy the luxury of reading, sewing, reading in bed, etc without any reading glasses. Yet a farsighted lens seems very tempting (not to need any correction for distance). It seems to me most cataract patients prefer the farsighted lens. Is that true? Will I be sorry later on in life that I am stuck with contacts or glasses for distance?
82861 tn?1333453911 Are there any plans in the works for a physical therapy forum? As a veteran of numerous orthopedic surgeries and rehab, I would love to see some kind of expert or even patient-to-patient forum on rehab issues. Surgery is only one step in recovering from an orthopedic injury. The rest of the "cure" is up to the patient's willingness to endure the pain of rehab which is often overlooked by the surgeons themselves.

Avatar n tn What exactly were you taking and how much? Many of us cannot afford rehab or have the resources to take care of our families while we detox and get well enough to take care of our family OR ourselves. You say your hubby knows about addiction -- If he truly does, then he should understand why you can't just quit. Have him read the posts here. Help educate him AND yourself as you head down this road. It doesn't end when you're done with the physical w/drawls.
717440 tn?1292743742 yes, clonazepam is a benzo of sorts... I do want to start going to NA for myself so I can have some in-person support as well... he's not ready to take that step yet, but I feel that if I go he may join me one night... at the least he has agreed to see a counsellor, but he doesn't want a sponsor... he says he wants nothing to remind him of this time in his life...
Avatar f tn In your experience with the Alcon toric lens (versus other lens options), is achieving a desired target ofplano” for good long distance vision difficult to attain? If a target of 2 meters is chosen is that close enough to “plano” to give good long distance vision and avoid the risk of “overcorrecting”? Could a person end up with "good computer vision" when the goal was "good long distance vision" and that patients can end up with varying results as on a bell curve.

Avatar m tn I am having my restor explanted for an aspheric monofocal. The power of iol's come in .5 increments meaning if you get the correct iol you may still be off by as much as 0.25. If you have to choose between an expected +0.25 vs. -0.25 what are all the pros and cons of each? 0-3 ft - No doubt -.25 is better, no discussion needed 3-6 ft. - again -.25 is the better choice 6 -20 ft - are the lens now fairly equal? Does it really matter? over 20 ft - I would guess the +0.
Avatar m tn Hi guys felt my back lock up after trying to lift a truck tyre on Ute , since then pain has not stoped had x ray & shows no spine fracture but centre of my back under left shoulder blade generates pain & pain killers seem to have no affect … anyone else had symptoms like this ??
Avatar f tn (My sister was a heroin addict and the toughest decision I ever made was cutting her out of my life, eventually she spun so out of control she nearly died of an overdose and I am proud to say she is now 60days CLEAN...and I credit my family for being strong enough to not take her ********!!
Avatar m tn johnny, i am so proud of you. that is a huge step. you will make it. i have faith in you. it will not be easy but you can overcome. my thoughts and prayers are with you. hurry back to us.
Avatar f tn So I found a rehab facility that does sauna detox and Intensive pt. I hope I come out of this not only clean but stronger. Any advice on inpatient rehab would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn t like the plano/1.25 combo because I can notice a fuzzy part in the distance where the halfway part of the focus is. Keep 2 things in mind when trying to decide. For each 0.1 diopter change from plano, the distance in focus gets increasingly smaller. It is not linear. Two because my both doctors missed the targets by .75 and 1.0 you may just want to shoot for plano for both. Most of my vision world is in focus. Monovision or mini mono in the other direction close/intermediate does not do it.

335728 tn?1331414412 We have a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre here as well but they work with the local vets first and the vet I took the bird to was an aviary specialist who will decide if there is anything that can be done to help the little fella and if he can help him he will be then sent to the Rehab Centre to recouperate! I haven't heard anything today but I don't think the clinic would be open on a Saturday and I am almost afraid to call them...I think I will wait until Monday.
1211508 tn?1343079605 ve had it checked hundred of times. Once, in a heart physical rehab clinic I saw a nurse make a patient throw his wrist monitor in the waste basket. I suspect that wrist monitors are not very accurate. That being said, all the readings you are reporting are pretty normal. My thoughts are that you have blood pressure readings inside the normal zone, and you should stop monitoring for your peace of mind. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Hi, How old are you? The length of recovery depend on age, general health of the patient, location and size of the meningioma. I would suggest you to opt for physical and occupational therapy to reduce these impairments. Also please be sure to inform your doctor incase a new symptom appears.
Avatar m tn I also have posterior uveitis (multifocal choroiditis) in both eyes which has been stable for a long time, and possibly AZOOR In both eyes. I know of possible retinal detachment occurring with surgery, but am most concerned with ourcome of vision. The unoperated on left eye has no central vision due to laser surgeries years ago to control SRNV. It has good peripheral vision though and the correction on glasses lens is -8.75.
