Well If you're still a virgin, I guess that deletes the possibility of pregnancy. However, to answer your question....YES stress can play a huge roll in the outcome of your period! Although, that may not be the only cause. I have a 16yr. old that started her period at 14...and then just stopped(she's a virgin too). I took her to the gynocologist, because I was afraid that there may be something wrong with her, that might keep her from conceiving, later in life!!! But the DR.
You have more chance to get pregnant having unprotected sex two weeks before your period than the day before your period. Ovulation usually occurs approximately 2 weeks into the middle of your cycle. Sometimes women don't ovulate in the 2 week period - maybe you're one of them. If you unsure if you're pregnant, than take a HPT or get a blood test from your GP or GYN.
Hi:-) having sex and not getting pregnant does not cause problems for a Woman's womb. You say you just removed and IUD ( I'm assuming that's what you mean by implant) that can cause delay in pregnancy because your period cycle needs to get back to "normal". Also, timing is a BIG factor. U can only get pregnant when you ovulate so try and keep track. Women usually ovulate 12-14 days after their period cycle.
Any time you have sex, you risk getting pregnant and you can get pregnant even without having sex, as long as sperm/semen get into contact with your vagina. Since it has already been beyond the 71 hour mark, all you can do is wait for your period to come. If your period is late, take a home pregnancy test to find out if you are pregnant. You decided to engage in an adult activity and now have to deal with the consequences of your actions.
Can you get pregnant having unprotected sex while your spotting right before your period starts??
Yes, Plan B can delay your period, make you miss it, make it come early, and do other funky things to your cycle. The sooner you take it to the unprotected sex, the more likely it is to work. Since you took it within the 72 hour time slot, you are most likely fine and just experiencing a side effect. Keep in mind the app goes based off an average and can't predict exactly when you ovulate, which is why it's best never to go unprotected.
because i feel stressed all the time and I'm nervous most of the time so that can be a cause for not having my period... is it possible that my uterus is not fully developed(if that is possible), if so , can i have sex then? also one more question-why should i use lube, can't i get wet enough myself? ( is a condom fine(like lube) p.s. i know that i should always have sex with condoms thank you!
Yes, there is a chance you could get pregnant from having sex on the last day of your period. It all depends on when you ovulate. How long are your cycles, and how many days do you usually have your period?
if you had sex the day before you got your period jenn, and you still got your period.... i dont think you can be pregnant. if your period is really irregular this time around and you are in a lot of pain or something about it is different then i'd say you should see a doctor. but if you have your peiod and it is normal... i think you should be all set. otherwise see a doctor or wait until your peiod is due next month.
I took plan b next step within 14 hours on having sex. I still havent had my period and it was one day after I took the plan B. My question is, is there any chance I could be pregnant or is the plan B delaying my period completely since it was so close to expected date?
Comon man, we are telling you the hard truth. Protected sex carries zero risk and your test does not lie. Combine the 2 and you can be sure you are safe. You dott have GBS, you think you have GBS after the fact that you are worked up over HIV and have been searching the internet. You are letting your anxious mind get the best of you. I can empathise with you too, I am a natuarally anxious person and I worry easily. But soemtimes you have to sit back and evaluate the situation with some logic.
Last month my period was about 8 days late because I had sex a week before the date when it should normally come, but... it still came! And now I haven't had any sex, so I can't figure out the problem. If you could help me, I would be very thankful.
This will be my third child and we are done after this. I guess everyone is right it only takes one time because we only had sex on the 7th and I think I ovulated on the 12 so who knows. I'm excited..
the thickness controls your period; afterall the purpose of your period is sloughing it off and purging waste, right? Toy users, put a condomn on it... lots more sanitary.
My period is usually regular give or take a few days and never have missed a period. I have been stressing out a lot and been having bad anxiety before my period was suppose to start. I didn't start to have symptoms until i was worrying that my period didn't come right away. So, Im stressing out even more that I could be pregnant. I have been having back cramps for about a week, my stomach started hurting a couple days ago, and my breast have been sore a couple of days too.
Sounds like you were smart since you say you did not have sex while sick. Being ill can delay your period as can any sort of stress. How many days before beginning antibiotics did you last have sex? If you had it right before beginning the course and/or managed to ovulate due to the antibiotics within 3-5 days after having had sex, you could still have become pregnant. Please be sure you use a condom for the next month since you were on antibiotics.
Hi i havent got much advice but i hope it will help you both. Stress or worry can sometimes delay a period, i missed a period last summer due to the fact that i went through depression (im not sugesting that shes depressed) i was constantly stressed and worried i thought i was pregnant so i waited till the next month and had a period so i knew the missed period was down to being stressed.
Sorry to year about your prios loss. If it helps which not much does. They don't usually look for cervical issues until after you have experienced a second trimester loss. Other than that they don't usually measure your cervix I also had a 20 week loss so my doc. specifically looked for this. I am also at a high risk doctor.
My doctor told me I can begin having sex when ever I'm emotionally ready. And making love with my husband helped me actually feel better. Its been six weeks since my miscarriage and no period. Were hoping for a baby but putting it in gods hands. Good luck and sending you baby dust!
since am india... I will have no access to proper medical care and before you know it i will be dead....
Since my periods were regular I just decided to get off because at the time I didn't mind getting pregnant and I had two what I call normal periods and thats when I started having periods every 2 months I went to the doctor and they said I had discharge and that to take this medicine to clear it up it was unbalanced bacteria and I they gave me some medicine to take for 10 days with it and it will clear it up.
They call it the eclipse period. Also, look up the sensitivity for the DNA PCR before one month- you won't find it. RNA is more effective due to the rapid unchecked replication of viral particles in the blood before antibody production. Anyone knowledgeable will tell you that a quantitative assay is more valuable in the first few weeks of infection. Once again, I apologize, no more grasshopper jokes. Only trying to help.
this month I'm 4 days late (no syptoms of it comign either). I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative and I've been under an extreme amount of stress this last month due to a family illness. What can be causing my period not to come?
Hi there and welcome! Absolutely, major changes can delay a period. If you were having your periods regularly and haven't had sex for 6 months, then no. You'd not be pregnant. Periods can be late for any number of reasons and you've given some when describing what you are doing in your life right now. Hormones can cause us to be late as well for no reason at all. It just happens.
You are right, it could be stress, it can be sporadic if you are sick, if you have gained/lost weight, increase in exercise etc. Some girls don't follow an exact cycle and are always irregular so a lot will choose to go on the pill to make it more regular.
I'm not breastfeeding, as I kno that can delay it. I also kno our hormones are still outa wack ..but is this long normal ? i took a hpt 11 days ago and it came up negative. however , in between ive had spotting for a day or two at a time, but I think it's from sex. as it happens after me & my bf have sex. so I'm not sure if this long is normal, I'm not stressin it so that can't be the reason it's so delayed.
It was just your normal cycle. See if it goes away after your period and if it does, well, now you know what it was if it happens again.
and if you guys never had sex and she does turn out pregnant then she cheated and had sex with another man. Maybe you should take a class or something.
2. Report it to the police. The more you delay this, the more complex it gets, so you have to do this right away. Its very important. You need support. Here are some numbers you can call. Remember that PEP must be taken before 72 hrs, so get help right away. Wishing you luck. Take good care of yourself. Shimpai Shinaide, yukkuri kangai te, chanto jibun no koto oh daiji ni shinasai!
uhmm,,if you're doubtful you can try to have a ptest, for you to know if you're pregnant or not, coz as i count on what had happened, you said you had ur unprotected sex after your period, it isn't possible to get pregnant after a period coz there's no egg alreadyto be fertiized, and then you had some bleeding on may 7-10, i think you had your period to early, it might be the cause of having a delay period right now.. the morning after pill sometimes have an effect like this.
