If I stay in bed with a cool mask and apply pressure to my eyes for 15 min. before I rise the swelling almost goes away completely and the mask usually ends up very wet from the fluid that comes out of my eyes. Besides the eye symptoms I have noticed that the skin on my lower lids no longer bounces back if I pinch it. It stays in place for several seconds before flattening out. It is difficult to put any type of undereye coverup on because the lid just stretches.

I would suggest you see your doctor for a correct diagnosis and for him to prescribe the appropriate medication for you.
In the meantime do not use any make ups or eye make up. Wash the area gently, do not use soap as this aggravates skin conditions and is drying. If you can't get to see your doctor soon, the pharmacist may be able to recommend an antihistamine and a suitable moisturiser to use that is safe near the eyes.

Yesterday, I asked: Can antihihistamine Eye Drops, enter your system through your eyes? While the question seems somewhat idiotic, I am highly allergic to antihistamines. They knock me out for extended periods of time, by making me lethargic, and extremely drowsy and sluggish. I used an antihistamine eye drop yesterday, and, shortly, had all the above symptoms. My question is simply, can one's system absorb antihistamines through the use of antihistamine eye drops?
Sinus rinse and eye wash may be helpful, but it sounds like it is time for allergy shots.

I thought perhaps I had pink eye in both my eyes. I opened my eyes and saw white spots and realized my eyes were watery. I got up and washed my face. My eyes were red, and watery. Within an your my eyes are back to normal. I can tell I don't have pink eye because my eyes stopped watering and the redness went away. This is the second time this has happened to me in a 3 wk period. I have over crowding, no syrinx at this time but evidence on the MRI that my spinal cord is being affected.
