I cannot find a whole lot of information about gardnerella in men. On a side note, I am assuming the gardnerella was the cause of inflammation since I had tested negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Avatar m tn You may have infected your eye from the throat infection and it might be cleared by the Azithromycin if it is the same organism that is causing the problem. But usually they give you eye drops for an eye infection that have antibiotics in them, so I'm not sure if the oral med will care of the problem. You could also have an allergy, virus in the eye or have accidently got something else in your eye. Try eye drops and if it doesn't clear up in a day or two then see an eye doctor.
Avatar n tn thanks! i tried all your suggestions and there hasn't been any pain since. i'm still experiencing mild diarrhea but i guess i'm one of the unlucky 5% who experience side effects from azithromycin. thanks so much!
Avatar f tn Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. I'm on Celexa and this stuffy feeling(like you are coming down with a cold) seems to be sticking with me. The med is working well except for this uncomfortable feeling in and around my eyes.
Avatar f tn org/drugs-supplements/azithromycin-oral-route/side-effects/drg-20072362 suggests that white spots on the lips are a rare side effect of azithromycin. I really hope that is causing it.
Avatar n tn She continues to have periodic blurry vision in the affected eye. She has constant headaches. the eye surgeon told her to see an optometrist in case she needs glasses. He opined that the headaches could be eye strain. She went yesterday and she tests out at 20/20. She tells me that if she tries to read she has pain. As an aside she is only 34 and did not suffer a recent head injury. She had been involved in a car accident when she was 17. This is the only trauma.
Avatar f tn It is not unusual for individuals to have side effects when they begin using a retinol product. Most manufacturers recommend beginning with 2 applications a week for the first week or so depending on how your skin reacts. After that you can increase to every other night and then to every night as your skin adjusts. I have used several products with retinol and this has always been the case for me. I do not have sensitive skin.

Avatar m tn For the Doctor:I had one iridotomy done to each eye, months apart, to 'prevent' drains collapsing", per my (then) eye MD... I agreed against my own better judgement, after waiting quite a long time.. since then, I've had occasional nasty eyeball aching....and recently rather intense aching, especially the left eye...Now I have developed a 'floater brown spot" in the same eye, and occasional webbing, with smaller brown spots, not always visible.
Avatar f tn Also cannot see close up with my old over the counter reading glasses, and I have to wear my driving glasses with which I am able to see the text on the computer and phone clearly. Have not been informed before surgery of these possible side effects of cataract surgery. Can anyone tell me about the flickering and could that eventually go away and why do I see clearly with my distance driving glasses on the computer and not my old close up glasses. very peculiar for sure.
Avatar m tn I have been doing some research on my side effects, I had blur vision in 4 days. I hope it does help someone like me. http://www.nature.com/eye/journal/v16/n1/full/6700038a.html that's site. Avatar m tn Facial rashes, night sweats and the closing of my throat. That is when I stopped using Bactrim. All other side effects are gone except for the closing of my throat that comes on and off, especially when I'm done eating. It's been going on for 2 weeks (since my last bactrim dose). It doesn't make my breathing or eating any difficult but is just very annoying. It stopped for 2 days and happened one late night, 2-3 hours after drinking alcohol.
Avatar m tn My GP then prescribed Predsol (Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate) drops - one drop three times daily for five days. The list of side effects looks quite scary and so far I havn't used them. The side effects include: "Glaucoma, blurred vision or problems with sight, enlarged pupils, drooping of the upper eyelid, thinning of the cornea or sclera which can lead to perforation.
Avatar m tn Since then I have had a yag in both eyes, lindo relaxing incision in the L eye which did not help the astigmatism and 5 months ago I had PRK in the L eye. Now I have SEVERE dry eye. First my doctor told me to try over the counter eye drops and gels. They did not help and the gels make my vision blurry. Now he has me on AzaSite which is an antibiotic and it does clear my vision for a short time. Every one asks me to speak to my doctor but that is not as easy as it sounds.
Avatar n tn I am currently in a long term relationship, fully disclosed sexual history - but I am resisting suppression therapy. In a previous relationship I tried this for a year and found the side effects to be horrible - confusion, anxiety, agitation, poor typing skills, eye-blinking and muscle flickering. I want to avoid passing the virus to my partner, but I cannot live a happy life with the side effects of Accyclovir.
Avatar m tn asked doctor today, he said could be the azithromycin, give it a couple of days.... however that is not on the side effects list of the azithromycin..... is this related to my ulcer... and what the hell is the cause of my ulcer if it is not syphilis and hsv... and so far azithromycin has not had the healing effect the doc said?
5268376 tn?1406179712 I looked at Zithromax side effects, they vary by the dosage, single or multiple doses, doses in combination with another drug, and are listed as pre-marketing trials and post-marketing reports. Rhythm issues were reported less than 1% of the time in pre-marketing trials, and also in post-marketing reports. Post marketing reports are apparently voluntary and often include things clearly not related to the drug.
