I was provided an oral azithromycin Z-Pack along with Azasite Azithromycin eye drops which definitely provided some much needed mercy on me and my poor eye. BUT I noticed, the redness was gone and most of the puss, BUT my eye was looking inflamed still, causing the eye to look more closed that the other. Not to mention throbbing sensations off and on.

I was given More meds doxycycline and metronidazole. With no real improvement taking them for 2 days. But developed pink eye yesterday and now is in bothe eye. I have been reading something called the adenovirus and think that’s what I might be dealing with now. Not sure if they tested for that I will get my results for the urethra swab in two days. My test result was neg for gonnorhea and chlamydia.

I know gonorrhea and chlamydia can cause pink eye, but I tested negative for both. I know adenovirus can cause both uti and pink eye, but I had no fever, no swollen preaurical lymph nodes, etc. The inguinal lymph node swelling is odd for an nsu or so I've read and there were no blisters or other symptoms of herpes (like flu-like symptoms). Also, there was almost no discharge the whole time. Is there anything my symptoms do fit? Would the azithromycin have taken so long to work?

Thanks, Vance. What about the fact that my urethra is irritated? Now I also think I might have pink eye. My eye isn't really pink, but crusts up in morning with some goo. Maybe just a side affect of the antibiotics? Still paranoid. Also been on antibiotics for 1 week.

Back in May 2007, I had protected sex with CSW. Next day, I had pink eye and one week later 2 canker sores on soft palate followed by swollen armpits. One month later I had thrush. Six week HIV test negative. Went to Dr. who said I have a upper respiratory infection. Three months later, swollen armpits became pneumonia. I have been experiencing pink eye since Sunday, not the regular pink eye...there is no discharge from the eye, the left eye, where all the problem is, gets really pink and my vision gets cloudy, especially when my pain starts. I can say that years ago, I knew somebody who had pink eye. At the time I was making colloidal silver, which is antimicrobial. She asked for some to try, and she was cleared up quickly. I can't say I'm recommending that, I'm just relating the story. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck.

thats what I do everytime my eye flares up, well the eye liner, I just sharpen down, and I use new brushes for the eye shadow, just incase the bacteria got into the make up...to prevent further contamination.
