Appendicitis no fever

Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis no fever

appendicitis

Avatar n tn I've had a lot of stress and anxiety for 5 years now (I'm a teen) so I'm not that surprised when my intestines are doing weird stuff like roughly shifting my food around, giving me either constipation or diarrhea, waking me up in the morning because I need to go to the bathroom... But this evening I started having pain on the right side of my belly, a little higher than my bone but still pretty low.
Avatar m tn It subsides after a couple of hours and there are no residual symptoms. No fever, etc. only very localized LRQ pain. It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
Avatar m tn An appendix is usually on the right side of your stomach and you will usually run a high fever with appendicitis. However, if you are still concerned, you can call your doctor and ask to speak to a nurse.
Avatar f tn I am also having same symptoms after kidney stone surgery on jan 13 then appendix removed 22jan I am extremely fatigued no appetite, migraines, diarrhea and some lower right side pain. No fever though.... Why am I still feeling horrible is it because my body has just been through too much within a short period of time? Please help...
Avatar m tn He gave an order for the CT with query for appendicitis or Ileocecal tuberculosis. The same local doctor said no appendicitis or mass now recommends CECT because his friend that is the new gastro advised for it. I don't have diarrohea, fever or vomitting, blood in stools but a little weight loss over a period of year as I avoided junk foods, eggs, icecreams and potato after I got chest pain problems assuming it might be against heart health.
Avatar n tn A calcified concretion in the appendix considered diagnostic of appendicitis in the acute abdomen.
Avatar n tn I think appendicitis would have ruptured by now and I have no fever. I am wondering if I either pulled a muscle in the abdomen/side or maybe a hernia?
Avatar n tn My 9yr son just was in ER for right lower quad. pain, rebound tenderness, low grade fever, vomited x1, not wanting to eat very much. Initally thought was getting the stomach flu until he didn't persist with the vomiting or had diarrea. In ER Abdominal XRAY was done- results large amount of stool and gas on right side. Blood work checked- Mono and crp slightly evalated ( not enough for them to say appendicitis). they gave a popsicle to him that caused him to have increased painin RLQ.
Avatar f tn t develop fever or vomiting with my appendicitis, reason why it was hard to diagnose, especially because it was behind my ceccum (for 1 month doctors suspected ovary pain...until my appendix burst). Can this time be stump appendicitis and doctors mistake it for cysts again?? I'm scared...
Avatar f tn the next morning he woke up with severe lower right abdominal pain and fever. i rushed him to the ER, after 3 hours of waiting the doctor ordered some xrays and notified me that my son had walking pneumonia. i asked the doctor how is it that my son has no symptoms of pneumonia and still have a positive xray, he told me it happens. - My question here is can a appendicitis be confused with pneumonia, and can pneumonia cause abdominal pain?
4512492 tn?1355709724 Was also running a low grade fever yesterday, it was 99.
Avatar n tn I have a 5 year old boy and he is running a fever of 102.6 is is complaining of abdominal pain around his belly button. He is very lethargic and he will not eat. He is not voiding as much. What could be wrong with him. There is no diarrhea or vomiting.
Avatar n tn no tenderness in the abdomin when pressed, no elevated WBC, no elevated CRP - all my bloods were normal. They kept me in overnight for observation and for an ultasound scan. The next morning, I still had the pain but an ultrasound wasn't possible due to a huge backlog. I discharged myself. From that day on, I experienced nausea, extreme loss of appetite (I didn't eat for four days) - everything I ate tasted horrible and made me feel sick, as did drinking water.
5154898 tn?1374773319 OK, I've been worried sick since about 4 days ago. It all started when i had a muscle spasm beside my belly button (right side), it lasted a whole day. I woke up the next day with a dull pain in the same spot, nothing really painful, just enough to worry me. Now, my lower front (right side), my right side and back on the right side has been aching.
Avatar f tn It begins in the upper area of the abdomen and kind of moves around until it localizes in the lower right abdomen. The fever and dizziness is also indicative of appendicitis. If her abdomen stops hurting all of a sudden, RUSH her to the ER because that is a sign that the inflamed appendix has burst. Please let us know how she is!
Avatar f tn m worried about is after 1-2 of waking up I went to eat something but then started to feel a slight discomfort no major pain just something it was I went to do a quick google search and was seeing that's where my appendix is located didnt have pain near my belly button tho.
Avatar f tn I have not vomited or had diarrhea nor do I have a fever. Do I have appendicitis or is it just gas?
Avatar f tn Hi, About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.
Avatar f tn I am a veteran last Thursday was brought to an outside VA ER for lower right quadrant stomach pain. They did lab work everything okay my WBC was 10.29 no fever. They did an Ultrasound which was highly susceptible for appendicitis it showed that it was not compressable, had minimal hypermiea, I was very tender and showed top normally enlarged.
Avatar n tn Each episode consists of a sharp pain in the same spot on his ribs, dark eyes, fatigue, and a fever of around 101 degrees. Each episode lasts for 2-4 days. He has had seven episodes: 05/2011, 12/2011, 05/2012, 08/2012, 09/2012, 10/2012, 11/2012. During an episode it hurts to laugh or breathe deeply. The episodes are becoming more frequent, and this last episode has continued for longer than normal. During the first episode, the pain was so bad he could not walk.
9497408 tn?1404140019 I've been having this pain in my lower right abdomen for weeks, now, and it has slowly moved towards my upper right abdomen and on the side. I went to see a doctor, but he told me I was constipated and gave me meds. I've been taking the medication and now the constipation is gone, but the pain is still there, and getting worse. The pain is mostly on my right lower abdomen, and when I put pressure on it and release it, it get's worse.
Avatar n tn Normal bowel movements, no fever, no nausea no vomiting. I feel pressure in the area - not a painful pressure but sort of like something is pushing. When I push on the right side of my stomach i feel a swooshing almost like water. I'm away on business and very nervous this could be my appendix as treating it now is not really an option. Any advice? Does this sound like appendicitis?
Avatar m tn My relative (82 years old man), had a fever of 39 deg C one night and pain in lower right abdomen, and ultrasound showed his intestines at this part to be swollen and infected (the doc suspected appendicitis, but it was not), and he is currently on antibiotics and panadol right now. He told me that he had pain in his mid-abdomen when young too, not continuing, but on and off. And that he is very tired in the time period around his stroke until now. (start 2008) What could be the problem?
