It subsides after a couple of hours and there are no residual symptoms. No fever, etc. only very localized LRQ pain. It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses.
I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days. I took an ultrasound of the abdomen and the doctor said no appendicitis. But I pestered him with questions about my symptoms. He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness.
Monitor your syptoms cause nausea, back pain, pain on right side and bloating r also symptoms of appendicitis.
I had appendicitis while i was pregnant so didn't notice the symptoms of appendicitis cause i just thought it was pregnacy symptoms.if pain gets worse or you get fever go to doctor.
After i left this hospital my sons symptoms worsened and i rushed him to a childrens hospital, where is fever had spike to 103.8. they ran a series of xrays and ultrasound which all pointed to appendicitis. doctor orderered a emergency appendectomy,by the time doctors were in his appendix had already ruptured.
-My question here is, if a ultrasound was done at the other er to find that it indeed was appendicitis could it have been caught in time before it ruptured?
I would take her to the ER. The symptoms you have described are classic of appendicitis. It begins in the upper area of the abdomen and kind of moves around until it localizes in the lower right abdomen. The fever and dizziness is also indicative of appendicitis. If her abdomen stops hurting all of a sudden, RUSH her to the ER because that is a sign that the inflamed appendix has burst. Please let us know how she is!

About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.

I have joined this community in the hope that someone can help me! I am a female, 25 years old and I have been suffering from abdominal pain for years. The pain is usually in the right side, mid-way between my bellybutton and my hip. At times the pain is sharp and stabbing and causes me to double over in pain - I would give it a 7 out of 10 for intensity. Other times the pain on my right side is dull and aching, and sometimes this is replaced with a burning sensation.
t develop fever or vomiting with my appendicitis, reason why it was hard to diagnose, especially because it was behind my ceccum (for 1 month doctors suspected ovary pain...until my appendix burst). Can this time be stump appendicitis and doctors mistake it for cysts again?? I'm scared...
Early this week I started having symptoms of what seemed to be a regular cold. Fever, chills, head and body aching in general. It has been four days, the aching has ceased a bit, the fever comes and goes. Is the pain on the lower right side? Do you have a fever? It could be your appendix The hangover feeling could be a fever or infection that is in the appendix. You should see a doctor to find out if that is the cause. They should do a blood test as certain blood cells are elevated when you have a bad appendix and also the doctor can see if it hurts to put pressure on the appendix.

You may be able to tell if it's appendicitis. Have her push on the area that hurts in her lower right. If it hurts more. It SHOULDN'T BE appendicitis. Most of the time appendicitis will find relief with pressure and (sadly) extreme pain when pressure is released. Also, I WOULD ask for an ultrasound because that's how my first ovarian cyst rupture presented!
t been any symptoms of fever either. I have plans to see a doctor in 2-3 days but I am out of town right now.
And yes, I have also considered the possibilty of an ovarian cyst, because I have matching symptoms and it feels more likely. It is in the same general area and, initially, the pain started in my hip/pelvic before moving to my side.
The pain in appendicitis generally starts around the umbilicus and moves to the lower right quadrant of the abdomen. The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, pelvic infections, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections. Today, I began having severe occasional cramps that felt close to contractions. This was also accompanied by fever and chills. I am not pregnant, so I know it is not labor pains of any type. My doctor put me on an antibiotic and said come back in a week if it is not any better. Any ideas of what might be causing these pains?
