Hopefully I haven't lost any ground!
I am prone to kidney infections too. Most likely the antibiotics are breaking up the infection that was in the kidney....the pain you feel it the kidney healing it self abf exiting the infection! If you still have the pain after you have finished your Meds contact your doctor! Also push lots and lots of water!

I have had a bladder/kidney infection for about 2 months now. I have had four antibiotics. First was suprax, which gave some relief for a few days, then levoxacin, then ciproxin, then sefaklor. I am prone to UTI and I have had 1 kidney infection before. Well I am having the same symptoms and pain again. I don't have insurance. Loads of sex and being unclean before and after (like not going pee or cleaning yourself up after sex) can lead to a urine infection, which if not taken care of can lead to a kidney infection. You probably had a urine infection. When it gets to your kidneys you should be running a fever and in so much pain you are physically disabled in pain. You can get some back pain from a bladder infection as well, but if it were in the kidneys you would be in extreme pain.
Hello, my name is Loraine I am 19 years old in January of 2010 I was hospitalized for a kidney infection for 4 days. In two 2005 I was also hospitalized for severe right side pain then later I was diagnosed with a urine infection not a U.T.I. Just recently I have been on more antibiotics for a urine infection (my first 2nd to 3rd time) and till this day I continue to have uncomfortable pain that does not away. My concern is why do I continue to have urine infections? Is it because of my kidneys?
Today I had an episode where I felt very light headed and couldn't hear for about 10 seconds.. does anybody have any idea if this could be kidney infection? I also feel like I am having bad braxton hicks contractions.. maybe it's just pain from my infection... this is my first pregnancy, please help. My husband works offshore and I'm alone and worried.
I never had a kidney infection but at 29 weeks I had kidney stones that caused my urine to be pure blood and contractions that required magnesium to stop. I would go in just in case.
If you are having a problem when you go to pass urine, like it hurts or burns when you pee or you are going very often for a pee, you may have a bladder infection or a urinary infection. With a kidney infection you would have pain on either side on the back, just below the rib cage, sometime you may experience tummy and or lower back pain too. You would also experience going very often for a pee or have difficulty in urinating.
I have been diagnosed with a urinary and kidney infection. My Doctor said that I had a high niacin level in my urine, does this indicate liver disease???? I also have gerd. Doctor put me on the same antibiotics as Anthrax victims. I recently fell in the backyard and bruised the area of the left kidney (same as what is infected now). Could the fall be connected to the infection? Thanks for any replys!
