being sick can affect your period. it can delay it or it might even come early. i'm not sure about the antibiotics but i would think that anything you put in your body will have some sort of an affect on it. after all, that's what medicine is for. i'm gonna bet that it's probably due to the fact that you've been sick. sickness is a stress to the body and can cause as i stated above, your period to be late or come early. hope you get to feeling better!!
For about the last 2 months I've been on and off antibiotics, wile still taking my birth control. I had my last period probably like a month and a week ago but I honestly don't remember i just know I had it. I've been having regular sex with my boyfriend, he always pulls out, but once he came in me and since I had been on so many antibiotics I got the Plan B pill later that day. Now I'm on the off week (the brown pills) of my birth control and my period still hasn't come.
My period started about a week early while I was taking some antibiotics. I am now off the medication and my period hasn't stopped. I am sixteen years old. What could be causing this? and should i be worried?
Im normally very regular with my period getting it every 29 days.. i am now 7 days late and i took a pregnancy test 2 days ago it came out negative... i was also recently on prescriptions for an ear infection and a sinus infection... was it to early to take a pregnancy test? or could the prescriptions being causing my period to come late?
almost two weeks before period is due so I was wondering if it was possible to be getting symptoms as early as a week after conception because almost two weeks before period is way to early for me to have pms symptoms.

I had a very odd illness about a week after a possible exposure risk. I've never been sick like that before. I had all the symptoms of acute infection except no ulcers. Part of the illness included an infection in the throat. The infection was cleared up with antibiotics but i was still very tired for a few weeks.
Could this have been acute infection? Do people ever get sore throat that clear up with antibiotics during the window period?

I'm a 26 year old female and have just finished a course of antibiotics for a UTI. My period was 3 days late and now that it is here is seems to have a normal amount but it just looks like there is more red blood then the usual mix. Without sounding disgusting there have been the usual dark clots,etc. I was just wondering if antibiotics can have an effect on your period?
I started talking the antibiotics the day I started my period, 3 weeks ago exactly from this coming Monday, I was on the antibiotics for 10 days then had sex 5 days after I was off the antibiotics. I do agree with the whole worrying part though, I tend to overthink things often. Thank you for helping ease my mind!
I've been taking birth control for about 3 months now but I started taking antibiotics about 4 days ago. I did have sex a week and half ago and I'm worried that something is wrong. My period has came a week and half early. But I'm not sure if it's my period or implantation bleeding. Before the bleeding my discharge was clear and watery 2 days before bleeding but it usuallly only does this maybe a day or less before my period.
Definitely take the antibiotics. Uti is something that needs antibiotics to cure and if it goes untreated then can develop into a kidney problem which in some cases can cause early labour. Much safer to take the meds. I've been on the same antibiotics twice during this pregnancy and am now 36+ weeks and baby is perfectly healthy.
Is it harmful to the baby if im taking antibiotics for bronchitis? And I am only about 1 month .
That's exactly what happened to me.. I got my period 4 days before it was supposed to come I had all the symptoms as you m y period was really light and then wen I took a pregnancy test it said negative..
It sounds like you are not on birth control other wise your period would be every 28 days..give or take a day. I would wait until your period is suppose to start, if you dont have it by then..take a test. If you are not pregnant than you might want to get on birth control, so you dont have any scares.
I dont think your age is an issue, as long as you are protecting yourself while doing it is my main concern!
My period has been irregular for about a year (40-45 days apart) due to ovarian cysts. However, this month I unexpectedly got my period early (day 22). I had unprotected sex a few weeks ago but my period is regular so I dont think it is pregnancy..I have also been taking diet pills..could this mean my periods will be regular from now on? or could it be the diet pills?
