5mg daily, metoprol 25mg twice daily and I just started Ranexa 500mg twice daily. I have no energy, if I exert myself in any way the chest pain/pressure starts with sharp pains and then they radiate to the left arm and up the left side of my neck. All of my test have come back normal. This is scarring me to death and as a coal miner I'm afraid I'm going to lose my job.
I am a male 70 years of age. I have been on 150mg Irbesartan and 5mg Amlodipine daily since October 2010. This controlled by BP within acceptable limits. Since late April, however, the systolic has risen to an average of around 150. My doctor wants me to add a beta blocker to the other medications. Since last October my heart rate was averaging below 60. Since late April it is averaging around 70.
Hi. There's a couple more medications that I take everyday. Wellbutrin 150 mg twice daily, allopurinol 100 mg twice daily and Vistiril 25 mg as needed for anxiety. This goes along with my question above. Thanks.
They started me on losartan 50 mg and amlodipine 5mg. And for some reason it seams like it is not going down, so I went to the ER and they increased my amlodipine to 10mg and adv me to contact my primary dr that following week. Called the dr that next week and he increased my losartan to 100 mg and amlodipine to 10 mg, 1 each per day. However it seems like my bp is still hanging out around the upper 180's.
Doctor has also presribed Hydrochlorot, 25 mg, Triam/HCTZ 37.5-25, Amlodipine, 5 mg. Each of these are taken 1 x daily. Other medications include Zetia for elevated cholesteral and Naproxen for severe osteoarthritis.
I note on side effects that vomiting is listed but not how often. Has anyone experienced similiar episodes. Pat M.
As anyone had the stress test the two parts myacardial perfusion scan after 4 weeks the cardiologist sent a prescription for asprin , isosirbide monitrate, amlodipine antrovastatin said my scan was 15% what does this mean is this not too bad medium or high risk don’t see him for another 2 months sldo can I have a few drinks on them as Iv not had a drink I just wondered people on these meds if they have a few drinks now n again thank you in advance x

I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.
5MG once-twice daily, with a qty of 20! that is no way to taper some one off this medication, right? I talked to my aunt who is a doctor (she will not prescribe any narcotics through out our family because of DEA ref's etc) and she told me to go to a new doctor because stopping this drug is way to risky especially for someone my age (18). She actually doesn't even want me on the medication, because a few years ago I would take them to get high.
I was just prescribed amlodipine for my gastritis how ever I can't seem to find any info about it being helpful for that. All the info I have found is about blood pressure. Is this a common prescription? Should I be concerned if I already have low blood pressure?
Also, she is patient of high blood pressure. She is on bloog sugar medications like Metformin, Glimipride and Telmisartan, Amlodipine tablets for high bp Daily.
Now, she has many complications of Diabetes including Diabetes Neuropathy, eyes issues like cataracts, osteoarthritis etc. she also has complications in her back/spine.

My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I was on Losartan 50mg which was working fairly well then the nephrologist suggested I switch to Amlodipine 2.5 mg. which he says is better for creatinine levels. I had been taking Amlodipine for a few weeks and BP rose. Doctor has increased to 5 mg. Not sure how long it will take to reduce BP. Has anyone any experience with Amlodipine? How is it? Hi, my mother is 76 yrs old and has been taking a pill called Envas for high blood pressure control for 15 yrs now. It irritated her throat. So she changed to Amlopress (amlodipine) table - half daily - on another doctor's advice. Her blood pressure (systolic) seems to be rising every day. Yesterday it was 150/80 and today it was 170/80. She is active in managing her home - like cooking, washing clothes and so on. She doesn't exercise beyond that because of her knee arthritis.

I have being told to continue sertraline and use diazepam as and when needed but to also take 1 amlodipine 5mg daily ro bring the bp down and that these were extremely safe wirh the only real side effect being swelling of ankles but to go back if that happens.
I have come home and tested my bp and it is averaging about 130/90 but have being looking online about this amlodipine and seen people even call it poison.
Is there any one here who uses it? Does it work? Is it worth it?
During Sept of that year I had to be re-admitted as I had a lot of fluid retention (swelling of legs, abdominal area and face). Cardio gave me IV Lasix and after 4 days of treatment I had to take Lasix pil daily. I am now 3 years post-op and I take Lasix when I have fluid retention. I still get fluid retention, but it is now only once a month or so.
OHS is a very big operation and it takes your heart and body almost 2 years to get completely over it.
I took 2.5 mg amlodipine daily at 8.00 pm without fail for three months until last July, 19, 2020. As I am still determined to treat myself without drugs, I stopped taking the medication on July, 19, 2020 on my own (I know I have been taking risk and shouldn't have done so but I just want to give my system ONE last chance before it gets obvious that I really need drug therapy and also, I figure the dose was very low with little or no rebound effect if terminated).
Are you aware about the combination Valsartan and Amlodipine to treat hypertension in high risk patients? How its is better than Telmisarton and Amlodipine combination?
