Avatar m tn The doctor recommended vitamin D, E supplements and some tablets for the esinophil which I completed the entire course. Another doctor recommended sertagress - 25 (Sertaline HCL 25 mg) and Ativan 1 mg (lorazepam 1 mg) tablets which I took for 6 months but they were not helping, had nasty side effects and I still had sleep issues, thus I tapered them off over 3 months. I am no longer taking sertagress or any sleep medicine.
Avatar f tn Hi I've had a positive ANA ranging between 1:80 and 1:160. I have also been testing positive for U1-RNP range considered positive is 81 or higher I was reading at 114. Now all of the sudden my U1-RNP is considered normal at 60? I have not been on any medication this far except vitamin D 50,000 and amlodipine 10mgs 1 per day. I've been having severe muscle weakness. My dr. sent me to a vascular dr. To have a muscle biopsy done.
Avatar f tn Well first, since you profile says your a female, I would suggest getting a new husband. But since I think you probably want to remain anonymous or are posting for someone else, if it started after you began your other meds you need to pin down which one triggered it and switch to an alternative for it. If it was there before, you can try saw palmetto, l-canatine, or l-arginine. Also check your Vitamin D and Magnesium levels.
Avatar n tn I was just prescribed amlodipine for my gastritis how ever I can't seem to find any info about it being helpful for that. All the info I have found is about blood pressure. Is this a common prescription? Should I be concerned if I already have low blood pressure?
Avatar f tn Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker indicated for hypertension. The S form of amlodipine is said to be responsible for dilation of blood vessels and lowering of blood pressure. The S- isomer of amlodipine or Asomex® is being studied in clinical trials and may lead to side effects such as fatigue or tiredness, dizziness or fainting, headache, flushing, or swelling of the legs or ankles. Side effects of amlodipine are generally mild and reversible.
736040 tn?1257436457 I have tried the c-pap with different masks and prongs and i just cant seem to get used to it. My sleep was getting worse and worse because of the anxiety and discomfort it brings. I decided to stop using it but now...about 1 year later, my BP is now at "hypertensive" and I just dont sleep through the night anymore. I really dont know what to do. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Hashimotos, Hypothyroidism, CFS.
Avatar m tn I had been taking Amlodipine for a few weeks and BP rose. Doctor has increased to 5 mg. Not sure how long it will take to reduce BP. Has anyone any experience with Amlodipine? How is it? Any adverse side effects?

Avatar m tn I am a male 70 years of age. I have been on 150mg Irbesartan and 5mg Amlodipine daily since October 2010. This controlled by BP within acceptable limits. Since late April, however, the systolic has risen to an average of around 150. My doctor wants me to add a beta blocker to the other medications. Since last October my heart rate was averaging below 60. Since late April it is averaging around 70.
Avatar f tn I red the article. I can see now that taking Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Selenium for a long time was a mistake. Perhaps this is why my PCR jumped from 1.000.000 to 17.000.000 in 3 months. On 15 of January I'm going to begin the second treatment with Interferon, Rib.and Boceprevir. (the first time I was on placebo) It will be good if I could begin the treatment with a lower viral load. If the virus is still detectable, after 4 months of treatment, I will be taken off the treatment.
Avatar f tn This is really a question for your doctor, as they should be the only one making medication recommendations for you, but as far as vitamin C and pregnancy, it should be safe, I'd check with your doctor especially if you are on any other meds that could be effected by the excess vitamin C before you start any.
Avatar m tn I was put on lisinopril and amlodipine. Ever since I started taking these medications my ocd has been totally out of control. There are rituals and image problems that I have never had before and it's really getting worse. Does anyone here have anxiety problems along with HBP and the medications have made them worse? Doctors don't believe me but I know my own mind and how different it is since I went on these medications.
Avatar n tn Is it ok to take vitamin c gummies to help boost my immune system.
Avatar f tn To lower the sodium from this source, I drain and rinse the veggies. Waiting on my blood tests for hormone levels, vitamin levels and other stuff. I also do not drink diet sodas, or use artificial sweeteners. My doctor, Friday, said that she thinks it might be neuropathy, due to the fact that I have some spots on the bottom of my left foot that I don't feel heat or pain. She also said that this would explain the red splotches on top of my feet. My question is this: Can she be wrong?
Avatar m tn My most recent Primary Doc just switched me to Metoprolol Tarta 25mg and off of the Amlodipine to see if that was the cause of the Vertigo, sadly the symptoms are still there. I've seen the: ENT Doctor & Dizzy Specialist - All clear Neurologist - All clear (no MRI performed) Eye Doctor - 20/20 vision 3 Different Primary Doctors - Nothing stands out I'm at a loss at what else I can do to help cure these symptoms... any suggestions would be helpful.
374593 tn?1257879950 Would vitamin C (1000mg or more) help with fertility and endometriosis while undergoing fertility treatments? (IUI's with femara, and progesterone supplements) Since they say that endometriosis has an immune component, I was curious if adding more vitamin C supplements would be useful in combating that? Thanks so much!
