Avatar n tn Negative) I would really appreciate your response. What does the measurement A.I stand for and what measurement is U/m1? Does this mean my antibodies have increased over the last 4 weeks? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Only the one metabolite (mono-O-desmethyltramadol denoted M1) is pharmacologically active. Production of M1 is dependent on the CYP2D6 isoenzyme of cytochrome P-450. Hepatic: Metabolism of tramadol and M1 is reduced in patients with advanced cirrhosis of the liver resulting in a larger area under the serum-concentration-versus-time to curve tramadol and longer tramadol and M1 elimination half-lives (13 hrs. for tramadol and 19 hrs. for M1).
Avatar f tn I have had Type 2 diabetes since October 07. I was put on Amaryl then and now am also on Metformin. I have since gained almost 5-8 pounds. Is this normal? I can't find this listed as a side effect in the drug info. I am about 20 pounds overweight and have been trying to lose that to help with the diabetes. I have a healthy diet and try to exercise as much as I can. I also have Crohn's disease (which may have contributed to the onset of diabetes), so heavy exercise is out for me.
Avatar f tn While no definitive aneurysmal dilatation of the intracranial vasculature is evident, there is subtle suggestion of potential fenestration of the M1 segments bilaterally, left slightly more conspicuous than the right. There is no evident hemodynamically significant stenosis or high flow vascular malformation. The dural venous sinuses demonstrate normal flow-voids. The visualized portions of the orbits, paranasal sinuses, mucosal spaces, and extracalvarial soft tissues are unremarkable as seen.

Avatar f tn Slightly fusiform appearance of the right m1 mca is of uncertain clinical significance and could represent tortuosity of the vessel. Satisfactory flow of the intracranial carotid, verterbrael arteries. I have been suffering from pressure headaches vertigo, pressure in my sinuses as well so I don't know which is causing these head feelings.
Avatar m tn This is a question for your pharmacist as I could not locate "IP". Normally USP is Rx'd. Amaryl [glimepiride] tablets come in various forms and colors. The letters IG [eye gee] is imprinted on three tablets [blue, pink, green] to designate strength.

Avatar f tn I have been told I have grade 2 but with T3, P2 and M1. Invasive LC and LCIS. I am having mastectomy and axillary node dissection this saturday and I feel that they are not telling me everything. Does M1 mean it has spread further than they think? Am very confused as i didnt think you could be grade 2 M1????

The A1 and M1 segments are symmetric and patent to the point where they convert into higher-order branches in the interhemispheric and sylvian fissures, respectivle.
Avatar m tn I am maintaining a stage 3 and was on a 3 month regiment of vitamin d and we also eliminated metformin. I take Amaryl now, instead.. My blood glucose was out of control but my PCP put me on Victoza. That seems to be helping with the exception of BS levels being very low in the morning. My PCP has suggested she might take me off the Amaryl and just have me take more insulin along with the Victoza and Januvia. At this point we're experimenting with the meds to see what works better.
Avatar f tn I just had a second MRI done on my head a week ago the last MRI I had in 2011 said questionable m1 fusiform dilation so in December of 2011 year I had a CT with dye which was suggested by MRI to follow up with CT, came back normal no dilation, so this one which is two years later and the MRI is saying it hasn't changed in size there still seeing fusiform dilation in the m1 segment, I don't get this how the CT didn't show this two years ago when they saw it on MRI and why the MRI whic

783159 tn?1236291818 I took metformin for 6 months and it made me sick. My stomach reacted to it and I had pains in my muscles all the time. I am now on amaryl and get no side effects from it. But a lot of people are on metformin. Since it makes your stomach loose, you lose weight from it. And it controls the sugar level. Why don't they list it?
Avatar f tn This is what my mra said this was done oct 2011 time of flight demonstrate a possible mild fusiform dilatation of the origin m1 fully patent questionable tiny fusiform measuring 4 mm diameter can not be excluded they saw that in the right side now they also saw two tiny left frontal subcortical foci of t2/IR hyperintense white matter which ar e non specific they say migraines which I was getting so they recommended a cta with contrast and this is what it said now this was done dec2011 There is
Avatar m tn Prior to surgery, she was taking Amaryl 1mg tablets once a day. Is this increased BSR levels following a surgery common enough, are there any implications and what should be the desired course of action?

Avatar n tn I have been controlling my type 2 diabetes with actos, lipitor, lisinopril, amaryl, and metfirman for the last 2 years. Recently, i was laying down and when I got up I felt my neck grinding. A few days later I noticed my tonuge was numb and tingling. then I noticed my right eye and right side of my face and head was numb. I have been having reduced mucle movement on that side. I do not have insurance and am unable to see a doctor. I get my diabetic medical treatment at a clinic.
Avatar n tn If in fact you are a type 1 diabetic, you should not be taking Amaryl. I would say to find yourself a new doctor if he/she thinks that Amaryl is appropriate for juvenile diabetes. But, perhaps there is something I don't know. Otherwise, just cautiously play with your carbohydrate intake and your insulin dosages. Yes, I agree that a doctor should be consulted about this at first, but eventually you should be running the show.

Its a hard choice but personally i think you should stick with fec chemo. if you are still not happy or worried get a third opinion, i only got one and i just want it sorted so i am doing what my surgeon and oncologist suggest. i have spent weeks researching too so know that they have suggested the best way forward with my treatment.....

1456596 tn?1285432454 Hello I had CABG x5 (LIMA-LAD; svg-pda; svg M3-M1-D1) surgery on September 13-th this year. I was released from Hospital yesterday, as my Surgeon told me I am in good health condition. My family Doctor saw the ECG on the day i was released from hospital and noted that there is a negative (or inverted) T Wave on V4 V5 and V6. Can you tell me what does it means, is this ECG normal after CABG surgery? Thank you.
