1365102 tn?1277909455 I am sick every June and July here in Texas. I don't know what the heck it is but something every year about kills me. I get to whereas I can't breathe and the Dr's shoot me up w/ "mega-steroids" as they put it. Hence: I loathe Steroids...I gain 10 lbs. every summer for 7 years...Yes a whopping 70 lbs. Nevertheless...I have now been on four round of Antibiotics for a month plus the ROIDS...I had water on my ears Per: Internalist Physician...
Avatar n tn Some of your symptoms make me think upper respiratory infection, but not sure about the hives at times? Have you tried anti-histimes? I live in North Texas. This area is notorious for aggravating allergies. I hear it all the time from people...I never had allergies before I moved to Texas. It's strange that they haven't subsided though? Were you outdoors when you were here. Possibly exposed to tics. I'm thinking lyme disease maybe. Have you seen dr? What did they say???
Avatar f tn Do you live in Texas? Many who never had allergies come to Texas and bam! It’s coughing, wheezing, runny nose Ect. Sometimes switching up your allergy meds can do the trick. As the only ones that work for me are Zyrtec and singular. I also use advair 500/50 when I have a flair or during my worst time of the year for me (April-may). But that cough is the frigging worst I have to get prescribe opioids for the cough at night just so I can sleep.

564735 tn?1263943526 Where in Texas???? I know that the NOCC does have a presence in Texas, they might not have posted the walk date yet. Try emailing the chapter....not very easy to get to, but, if you click on chapter maps and then location you will find the info. If you get no where, let me know and I will see if I can contact someone and find out what is going on.
Avatar f tn I will try to get in a routine with my nasal rinse, maybe that will help and guess I could see if I need to get back with an ENT to possibly start shots again. My allergies are all seasonal type allergies and I live in Port Arthur, Texas (Gulf Coast) so unfortunately, they can act up year round. Between that and when they burn the marshes around here, I'm doomed. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.
Avatar f tn Well, first I want to suggest you think about your workplace environment as a possible allergen source. This is because you talk about it lasting 3-5 days, and also mention weekdays in your report, so that's what came to my mind. If it's your allergies, there are allergy medicines that can be prescribed for you that will clear it up entirely.
Avatar f tn Anyone live in texas? I am due in 21 days with my first. I would like to meet or talk with moms :) my friends where i am are so young and ots just not the same. :/ ive only been living in Arlington since August last yr ..

Avatar f tn Yet after insisting my doctor put me on the natural hormone I had to order from Texas since hard in Fl to get Armour...and after 2 weeks on it I have stopped a 18 year cough? Nothing else changed in my life except this.I called the manufacturer of Synthroid and Lannet and both said yes this can happen. Yet they do a very poor job at making doctors aware of this...as well as pharmacists. I could write a book on my ordeal and the personal and financial costs to this chronic cough.
443136 tn?1210536325 Another thing, the skin issues are likely atopic dermatitis (eczema) that may be from the food allergies or contact allergies in your environment. Multiple chemical sensitivity is common in EDS so skin rashes can happen. Another common issue is Von Willebrand's disorder that is a clotting issue making for heavy and painful periods. Also Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a common compounding issue for EDS'ers.
Avatar f tn @Jackie, If the mention of Texas meant---- was that the state where they won't treat Lyme?------- No, it's Oregon. I've never lived in Texas so maybe they're as bad---- but how it can be worse than OR or WA I really can't fathom.
