Hi everyone! I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I've been using Murad acne line for over a month now and im pleased with the result. I just found out I was pregnant a few days back and now I'm worried if it continue using it will harm the baby. Help anyone who used it??
Another good cure is the MURAD acne facial kits that they sell online. They work wonders. Their products have sulfuric acid and salicylic which kills bacteria, heals the breakouts and prevents any more breakouts from coming through. If nothing works for you its because they are hormonal and hormonal cannot be cured with products because it is a bodily function....
I too am breaking out, luckily for me I am an esthetician.. I use all murad products and they work really well for me. I use an exfoliating acne treatment gel as well as a clarifying mask a couple times a week. It really works for me. If you want to try it out you can purchase the acne kit and test it out. It is a lot cheaper than purchasing these two products and that one comes with 4 products. It is a 30 day trial kit.
What can i do for acne?
Can anyone recommend an acne treatment for those cystic acne bumps that take forever to go away? I'm 46 and did Accutane in my 20s with pretty good results until the last several years. I've had the most success with Pro Active, but my skin got really itchy when I wore mineral powder makeup and I kept ruining towels, pillowcases and shirts. I've also tried Acne Free, Murad and Dermatologic plus prescription cream with no luck.
I would recommend their clarifying mask or gentle acne treatment gel. Both have sulfuric acis and salicylic acid in them which will not dry out your skin but kill any bacteria, tighten up the pores and heal the breakouts. I highly recommend it. It is pricey but works wonders! Clarifying mask is only used 3 x a week where as the treatment gel you can use every day. Good luck girl, sometimes hormones just take over on your skin and there is not much you can do. I hope this helps!!
t know what to about because I been in this treatment for already for 5months and I still have acne but like white heads and red small ones what should I tell him or should I see another dermatologist what do you think ?I had a question what do you think about that treatment murad complex that comes out on tv?
Are you having a boy? Iam and I'm getting acne like a teenager! I used murad products and worked it cleared my skin but now it came back on my neck area and jowls, chin it's the hormones plus I'm producing more testosterone! I have melasma on my armpits, neck it's horrible! Also freckles on my face For awhile I didn't want to leave my house I felt very frumpy lol.
It has totally messed up my self confidence and has made me totally insecure.I have tried several acne therapies including OTC Proactiv, Murad and benzoyl peroxide, as well as perscription benzacline (probably mispelled), minocycline, tetracycline and am now currently on Ziana. Nothing really seems to help and its not easy to apply meds to back acne.
I had a total thyroidectomy in April 2008 and iodine radiation treatment in May, then started on 175mcg's of Synthroid. In August I started experiencing severe cystic acne. A dermatologist put me on an antibiotic and a topical cream. The cysts on my face are gone which left bad scars but now I have severe bumps, like a red rash all over my face. I am looking for help in regards to my 13 year old daughter. She has severe cystic acne for the past 7 months. The cystic acne was just beginning late last year in 2013. Fusidic acid and minocycline are both antibiotics which are used for the treatment of acne. Treatment options include topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.

I used to get pimples around my face, back and chest however I had undergone a treatment and the problem subsided eventually however the moment I left the treatment I again started getting pimples or some kind of infection. I am again undergoing a treatment and the doctor says that this is a normal concern....I got some reports done and everything is fine..
Please let me know how long will this continue? will I be ever able to get rid of this medication?
I found two articles in the medical literature about electrothermolysis, just uncontrolled pilot studies, but neither referred to acne treatment--one was about treating facial seborrhea, the other was about hair removal. So basically, I don't know.
There are other acne treatments you might want to consider, such as laser treatments to minimize oil glands, They are safe and have shown modest effectiveness, though it's not always long lasting.
My first pregnancy I avoided everything like that but with this second one ive been using Murad thats been proven safe during pregnancy and theres sacylic acid in it!
I went to the dermatologist and wasn't able to see a doctor, instead I was seeing by an intern who didn't seem to know what she was doing but anyway, she prescribed me what my primary care physician had already put me on for 10days; SMZ/TMP DS 800-160 Tab Interpharm to treat my infected acne. She told me she's going to keep me on it for 8 months. Now, if this is an antibiotic, is it normal to be prescribed for that long? and for acne grade III?
1) What is the current and most effective treatment for Acne Inversa? (Most of my reading online was from relatively dated material) I have been taking Accutane for approximately one month and have so far not seen any favorable results. I have also read that Accutane does little for Acne Inversa. Is there truth to this?
2) I have read that Carbon Dioxide Laser Ablation may be just as effective as skin grafts, however, it was an emerging treatment.
