acne treatment for adults

I went to dermatologist five years back for my acne treatment and they used black head remover tool for my acne treatment i don't think it is sterilized..and after 2 months I have rash on two side of toes...is this related to hiv please help me...

1) What is the current and most effective treatment for Acne Inversa? (Most of my reading online was from relatively dated material) I have been taking Accutane for approximately one month and have so far not seen any favorable results. I have also read that Accutane does little for Acne Inversa. Is there truth to this? 2) I have read that Carbon Dioxide Laser Ablation may be just as effective as skin grafts, however, it was an emerging treatment.

Hi i am a 26 yr old male. i have a moderately itchy scalp that gets oily by the end of the day & have occasional acne on the scalp. also i have significant hair loss due to it.Recently, i have noticed more frequent occurrence of acne on my face & rarely on my chest & back. i wash my hair everyday with a mild shampoo to remove the oiliness. it just doesn't seem to help. i somehow feel the itchy scalp, acne & facial acne are related.

Thanks for your comment. He does not have oily skin or acne. His skin is nice and clear. I am looking at his dad's nose and he has big open pores all over his nose too. So, don't you think it could be just genes? Although why would they open up so early?

This is related to hormonal changes, more common in youth with acne and older adults with acne roseacea. Ocusoft PLATINUM lid clearer is excellent and OTC requiring no RX. They have an "original" and "plus" product. Platinum is new. Might need to order over internet if you can't find. Warm compresses are good. Pads heated with microwave work better than hot washclothes. Omega 3 not make worse.

Been to SIX dermatologists. First, in 2001 I had bad acne (now entirely clear)- and I went on Accutane for 8 months. I think this might have triggered it! I never had eczema before Accutane. I've been to several to see my eczema since. Biopsies, cancer screenings, Elidel, multiple steroid creams, lots of anti-fungal creams and even sprays. Nothing has worked... except: TANNING. If I bake my skin in the tanning bed for 10 minutes/day.. for around 4 days... this rash disappears!

I recently read about a genetic test called AcneDX that tests whether or not oral antibiotics will be an effective acne treatment. My teenaged daughter has moderate acne and tetracycline has been suggested. I'm concerned about giving her a medication that may have side effects and produce an antibiotic resistance later in her life, and it may not even work to clear her acne up. The test sounds like a great way to find out prior to treatment if the antibiotics will help.

Hi. My skin has always been clear but about six months ago I got acne. The acne on my face keeps spreading. It's starts off as very small bumps on my face which later get red and swell a little. I also have lots of whiteheads and my acne. I've tried tratree oil and niacinamida and none of them seem to work. Any ideas to what to put on my face?

I get it on my chest, back and face I have went to a derm since I was 18 but it never seemed to really help and I felt like since my acne was mild they never really cared. You should wash your face with a nonirritating, pH-balanced cleanser to decrease inflammation. Avoid scrubbing the face. Do not pop or pick at pimples. A correct nutritional balance and skin care will be helpful. Drink plenty of water every day. Take 7-8 hours of sleep daily. Have a balanced diet rich in vitamin A, zinc and rich in multivitamins.

Now I have persistant and large acne on my cheeks and jawline, including cystic acne. The acne is ever present and not just once a month. My current dermo (not the one who proscribed Accutane) tells me that it's hormonal (I believe this) and that I will just have to deal with it for the rest of my life (I don't want to accept this). She does Cortosone injections on occasion for the cysts because I cannot, for the life of me, leave my face alone.

I have been working on clearing my skin from acne and have been taking roaccutane (30mg) for 4 months, so is there a problem if I continue that treatment? how can I try to minimize scaing as much as possible, as it is the main reason why I wanted to treat my acne and now with these huge blisters all over, I´m having a panic attack!! I'm booked in for a fraxel laser treatment on my nose cheeks and forehead for large open pores and "ice pick" scarring (or is this the same thing)? Can anyone tell me of their own experiences with this or someone they know maybe??? Was it successful or a total waste of time, money and pain? There is so much info on the internet about this I just want to hear the opinions of some "real" people. I'm getting really nervous about it. Help!!!

Hi Sir, I used to get pimples around my face, back and chest however I had undergone a treatment and the problem subsided eventually however the moment I left the treatment I again started getting pimples or some kind of infection. I am again undergoing a treatment and the doctor says that this is a normal concern....I got some reports done and everything is fine.. Please let me know how long will this continue? will I be ever able to get rid of this medication?

Yes the studies that amblyopia from birth or child hood has traditionally responded poorly to treatment in adults. Treatment much much more successful if started before age 7 The new studies were done on removing congenital cataracts not due to striabismus or aneisometrophia. The new research does not suggest that treatment is highly successful just some better.

I'm bi-racial (black & white) & on my back are these dark colored spots, i have a caramel brown complexion with these dark brown spots on my back & a few on my chest the ones on my chest i thought were just acne scars but i'm not sure, i'm so embarrassed to have my shirt off & just wish they were gone, Is there any way to rid of them, like a successful cream or lotion??
