abilify interactions

I take 24mg suboxone daily. Iam bi-polar and was prescribed pristiq and abilify, after i went on the suboxone, which i did not tell the doc i was on. I took my first dose of the meds, the abilify and pristiq, (which i had been on before) and got deathly ill, for about 6 hours, then i felt drugged until the next day. I have not tryed it again. Iam only on the suboxone, but i want to get off of it, it has changed my life for the better, in every way, except the cost.

I am currently taking Wellbutrin for my depression. My question is can I take Abilify with Wellbutrin?

my 10yr old son has been on a regimen of 1300mg lithium and 5mg abilify since age 7 due to aggresive behavior towards family and self mutalation.Was hospitalized at Walker Art,Needham Mass to get satabilized..meds worked for the better part.He was recently taken off abilify 5 wks ago-the past 3plus wks he has returned to his behavior not seen since age of 7.Drs wanted to try him on triliptal which been on over wk now,nothing has improved more so worsened.

I'm going out this weekend and will probably end up drinking. I'm on lamictal, abilify, and ativan. Does anyone know the interactions mixing those with alcohol? Any help would be great thanks!

What should or could happen to someone who is taking Abilify 5mg 1X a day, Zoloft 50mg 1X a day, Gabapentin 200mg 3X a day.

5mg to help regulate my sleep, which sounded great to me since I do not remember the last time I had a good night sleep. He also put me on a low dose of abilify 2mg for a week then up it to 4 mg a day. I slept good last night, went right off to sleep and did not wake up, still woke up tired, shucks!! but the kittne woke me up so who knows what time i would have slept too...

I just saw my doc today and he suggested i go on Abilify also. But when i went to the pharmacist he told me it would be $40 a month for the script. I can not afford that. The pharmacist told me about Effexor XR (that will be going generic July 1st). Has anyone been on this?? Has it helped?? I have also tried paxil, WellbutrinXL, and Prozac. These made me more depressed. I guess i just need some help as to what else is out there that works...

Hi I've recently had like no sex drive for awhile now and I'm wondering if its because of my meds I'm on. I'm currently taking synthroid, and abilify, lamictal, extra calcium, potassium and magnesium because my perithyroid was damaged during the removal of my thyroid. So what could be the cause of my low libido and what can I do to fix it? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated thanks!

He substituted tegretol with Abilify as my MS. I heard well of Abilify and I happen to have come across http://www.askdrjones.com/2005/02/14/ranking-the-mood-stabilizers/ . To tell you the truth I became happy because I know tegretol needs blood tests, etc…while abilify has a few side effects except some anxiety. I only became suspicious about its potency as a mood stabilizer. Otherwise why do pdocs recommend always one of the triads (lithium, depakote, tegretol) or lamictal lately.

I've been taking these two for 2 months. 1800 mg trileptal 10 mg abilify. i'm doing a lot better (rages getting under control, manic moods lowered) but i'm still so depressed. my irritability is still off the charts. do you think adding another med will be the most likely next step or will my doc just keep raising my dosages?

Lately I have been VERY depressed and it comes in waves, making it hard to do even simple tasks, wanting to cry uncontrollably for no reason. To be clear I am also on Lexapro, Abilify, Pravastatin, Trazodone, and Amlodopine. Nothing has really changed recently. So my question in all of that is this: can the pain killers cause the depression, and if so is there anything (short of getting off them) that I can do to lessen it or get rid of it?

I do know I had less of a problem with weight gain with Lamictal and that among the current generation of antipsychotics, Abilify, Fanapt and Saphris are the least likely to cause weight gain but each person responds differently to each medication. Ask your psychiatrist about available options.

Speak to your psychiatrist about it as that's of concern as its some form of intoxicating effect with the interactions. It may very well go away (I've had it happen with medications and it passed) but they should know. Normally there wouldn't be this problem as unlike Ativan (lorazepam) Buspar does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it (though it is less effective).

I am wondering if visiting with your prescribing doctor to discuss if you are on the right dosage or combination might not also help you. Not saying it would, but possibly. I know that treating the main issue and functioning is most important so if that's good (bipolar is even, then that's good). My son took abilitfy and was WIRED from it.

i also take hormones and xanax...i read where alot of my meds have interactions...but pharmisits say its ok.............

I am on zoloft which does not help with my anxiety, does adding abilify help with the anxiety and the depression?

There is no reason you can't take Abilify with Zoloft. I take Abilify with several other medications. It started working within 2 weeks and my depression decreased dramatically. One common side effect of Abilify is akathisia, a restless need to move. I have that but added propranolol and it stopped it completely with no other side effects.
