abilify and lorazepam

I just started Pristiq and Im also on ativan and abilify............wondering if anyone else has taken these meds together.I felt great after taking the pill last night now today im kinda scared and spacey feeling...any thoughts?

I tried to stop taking zoloft and abilify about three months ago. I tapered off the zoloft and stopped the abilify cold turkey, per doctor's advice. I had mild side effects for the first month and then totally crashed. Needless to say, I called my doctor in desperation and was represcribed both medications. I feel much better, but am still very serious about stopping the medications sooner than later.

Since starting abilify I have been seeing and dreaming strange things. It is almost to a point where it almost feels real. Also with the hearing voices and hearing other stuff it causes me to jump up straight (causing severe dizziness and nausea) from being asleep and i will go out my room door and look around in a daze but nothing is there. This happened since i started the meds.

Hey there I'm suffering from low libido and don't know which one of my meds can be doing this. I'm on abilify 15 morning. Divalproex 500 night. and last but not least lorazepam 2 night. I'm only twenty years old and cannot believe this is happening to me. I don't what else it can be but i'm pretty sure its the meds. Has anyone had low libido while on these meds before, but especially divalproex?

The Lamictal and Abilify are at standard clinical doses but effective. I believe the same with Ativan and Buspar though I only took those for a short time. The Lunesta however, is at a higher dose than needed for many people. 1 mg worked fine for me.

if you bp then your more than ,.Ikey high and low is what bp is..the ablifi can make you mania even when its working..but you also need to be on something for deppreshion such as lamictail.....talk this over with ur pdoc..but yes most bi polars are on ore than 1 med...some takes yrs to get there =combo..i took ablifi it threw me into mania in 4 days...

What you experience may be quite different from what everyone has posted. You might take Abilify and find that you have no side effects and it helps you and you will continue to take it. You might find that you get side effects that you can't tolerate and then you will quit it. The only way to find out is by trying it.

I've been on Zoloft just 1 week so far. Today, I started feeling a little better. I read it can take up to a month to work. I cut my dose of Lorazepam in half to see how I would feel and so far so good. I've been to counseling for years. I think the Lorazepam caught up to me as I'm not getting the benefits I used to out of it. Hopefully, the Zoloft alone will work eventually. Thanks for responding!

I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come

Hi I have been on 5 mg of abilify and also klonopin since jan..09.Recently i have been having severe dizziness.,y ear hurt so wen to dr put me on antibotic...Abilify has helped my depression so much but im wondering f it would start causing dizziness after being on it since jan 20 09...

Hello, I took abilify for five years, One thing is that when you take ablilify it is added with another medication usually, and i lost all of my hair while taking it but not because of they abilify, it was from the depicote or what ever-eles i took, but after i got off the depecote, my hair grew back my hair is growing now, but if you havent took it very long you may be having other side effects like the shaking, i will say that dose go away and you get very much better..

She takes Prozac 20mg 2x daily, Buspirone 10mg 3x daily, Cymbalta 60mg 2x daily, Lorazepam .5mg 4x daily, Promethazine 25mg 3x daily, Nortriptyline 25mg 2x daily, and Gabapentin 300mg 2x daily. That's a lot of medication. Most of those are psychotropic medications which have the side effects of the same depression she is fighting. I can't help but wonder if she is just over medicated.

There is a connection with taking Abilify and acne .

For example, in natural medicine the thing to add would be passionflower and hops or kava or something like that, which if they work will do what lorazepam does without the addiction problem. There would also be dietary and exercise and meditation changes involved, a whole body approach as opposed to a one remedy cures all approach.

Did you ask your pharmacist if abilify and ambien and any other meds you might be taking, including OTC meds, might be interacting to cause you to feel like this? Sometimes pharmacists know more about adverse drug interactions than dr's. Just a thought.

Are you saying you were put on Abilify before you were put on Celexa? Because if you've only been on Celexa a few days, Abilify wouldn't be appropriate. It's only a last resort medication because of its side effect profile and because it isn't known to work by itself, only in combination with another med. If, for example, you have depression, and you're on medication and its helping but not quite enough and you've tried everything else, that's what Abilify is for.

When I looked up weight gain and bipolar medications, Abilify was at the bottom of the list for weight gain, Geodon people gained the least then Abilify. I'm on 2mg. of Abilify and in the begining you tend to feel sleepy, that's why they start you on it at bedtime. I would be surprised if Abilify caused a racing heart but you definately have to tell your doc about that. I was also on Wellbutrin and had to come off because it caused to much anxiety.

Now the abilify, I was suppose to increase from 2 mg today to 4mg, I wanted to tknow if 2 mg was a thereaputic dose and also can I take have of that and take 1 mg since Im so sensititve and that might work, Its been keeping me up at night the abilify, makes my mind and body racy and alert...Waiting for my dr to call back, but sometimes that doesnt happen......

Any medication can sometimes take a week or two or longer to take full effect while some will take effect instantaneously. It all depends on the person of course. When I took Geodon I sometimes would "drool and stumble" figuratively for the former (felt really dumb some days) and literally for the latter (dragged my feet and sometimes felt drunk).

I have just started taking Aripiprazole(Abilify) and have found it to have some beneficial effects on my mood. However I am also finding myself to be extremely drowsy. I have heard that this side effect wears off with time. Has anyone else experienced this? It's the first antipsychotic I've taken that's had any effect so I don't want to stop it but the fact I can literally go to sleep while standing up is making my life difficult.
