Avatar f tn The manufacturer of this migraine medicine is going to stop producing it and the pharmacist told me today that I'll have to find another migraine medicine, OMG, I take ISOMETH/APAP which is also generic for Midrin and they switched it to Duradrin, so no matter what I'm looking at finding something else that works. I'm wondering how I'll do this when nothing else has worked and I was taken off of Imitrex and Zomig because it altered my EKG tracing.
Avatar n tn I have treated chronic migraines since 1988 with various drugs, but usually with Imitrex 50 mg tablets or 0.5 mg subcutaneous injections, as well as the products Amerge and Zomig. I have never had a reaction such as this. This was, however, the first time I had used the 100 mg tablet.

Zomig 5 mg pill as abortive (which I often take after Zofran so it works). Zomig spray of I need something fast, or I've eaten (works best for me on empty stomach. I also take magnesium and butterbur each day. What I have tried: nortriptyline, a beta blocker, more topomax, and anti convulsive. Relax, imatrex, sumitriptan, frova, dhe (migranol). IV treatments.
Avatar n tn I've been taking Topamax for only two weeks now. Only taking 25 mg once a day so far. It was prescribed for migraines as well as mood stabilizer. Other than the memory loss, I feel great. The headaches are already mostly gone. But I am scared to death of causing long term damage with this drug - whether it is permanent hair loss (I'm 35) or damaging my memory/brain forever. Anyone have any experience with the medicine at this low a dose?
