How are you mothers to be feeling about your weight gain?

I have just reached 14 weeks and after losing 1.5kg's during week 6-8 from morning sickness I haven't gained any weight since. Has anyone else had slow/no weight gain early on? My belly feels bigger but the scales tell me otherwise!

It literally is the only way i could eat or drink anything and gain any weight.

The zofran is to keep me from throwing up all the time, I wasn't able to keep anything down. He said the baby is fine for now but I have to start gaining weight. And I Will definitely try the shakes.

I didn't gain anything until I was about 24 weeks pregnant. My doctor said that if you have the excess weight somewhere else on your body, your body just might pull it from there. I am not overweight, but I am heavier than "the norm" and I lost weight off my butt and legs and it all went to my belly....

Its normal not to gain any weight in the first 20 weeks. As long as your getting fluids down and trying to eat youll be fine. I was the same way. Your doctor would let you know if you need to worry.

Hey ladies. Before I got pregnant I weighed 120! I then weighed 96 pounds due to sickness. Then I gained weight back up to 104. And in two days I've dropped 2 pounds. So I'm now at 102. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and my ob told me I desperately need to gain weight. I have been so sick. Taking zofran every meal. Does not help. I don't know what else to do...

Yeah that's what I was thinking too & I have been eating very healthy through this pregnancy... With my son I gained weight like crazy becAuse I craved sweets & only sweets. With this one I love my ceasar salads & broccoli salads . .. My boyfriend wasn't to hAppy when she said that I need to gain more weight because I'm under weight... & she asked if I wanna see a dietician ?

Oh im sry hun I was able to keep the others down after I got out of hospital adter having iv zofran. It may seem extreme but won't hurt to ask and you sound like a really severe case in fact I've never talked to someone who was worse than it than myself but im pretty sure you are worse than I was and I was really bad :-( ask you doctor about a pic line for iv zofran at home.

Zofran i lost 7lbs with my son before i finally started to gain. I went from 112 to 105 then by 35 weeks when I delivered my son I was 127.

Has anyone been on the Zofran pump and IV at 11 wks pregnant? This is my fourth child and I have last 11 pounds in 3wks, and now I'm stuck in bed until my doctor gives the okay.

It kind of depends on your starting weight. If your BMI was considered over weight, normal, or underweight determines how much the app says you should be gaining. If you are over weight, it makes sense that it says you shouldn't gain as much.

Sorry for the slow reply, I hate how the app doesn't notify you... But yes, at most I'm not to gain more than 15 pounds, but she would prefer I not gain any weight.

It never took it all away, but it helped considerably. Dont worry about weight gain at this point. I only gained 10q pounds my pregnancy, an it was due to swelling. I didn't gain it til the last few weeks. Lexi's perfectly fine an healthy despite being so sick an my reglan an zofran use.

And with my thyroid/metabolism being messed up, weight gain is extremely easy for me. I lost close to 30lbs in the beginning because of morning sickness. They wanted me to gain some back because it wasn't healthy to lose it like that. So some came back plus an addition about 20 lbs since then. I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant. I eat healthy but every time i go in they pretty much call me fat. What do i do?

I'm about 13 weeks and keep losing weight. Not sure why. I eat, but i know I'm not getting the calories I need. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables mostly because that's what's sounds good. I'm also eating a lot of protein too. Anyone else experienced weight loss?

Yes ull gain weight dont worry i started over weight to im 5'9/5'10 started at 216 went down to 198 im 30 weeks tommorow and im back up to 215 :) trust me itll come back when u least suspect it as long as ur bellys growing babys growing dont worry

There are other anti nausea meds u can request but also remember that those to will have risks I would research natural ways to reduce nausea and vomiting if u feel strongly about not taking it I was able to fight through my sickness without meds by eating smaller meals and eating saltines and drinking ginger ale my whole first trimester I didn't gain any weight but I didn't loose any either and baby measured fine sickness faded a little in second trimester but is now coming back a littl

This Just Have Me Hope. I'm 15Weeks And Although I've Been Prescribed Zofran I'm Still Constantly Sick And Not Gaining Any Weight. Hopefully I'll Be As Lucky As You And Gain Some Relief At 18Weeks Fingers Crossed Lol.

m going to throw up this way. Also, they put me on reglan and took me off zofran due to the back up the zofran was causing. Good luck hun, it isn't the easiest road but I'm hoping by 14wks I'll be in better shape!

I had an idea to eat avocados, coconut oil, and nuts to gain weight. What do you think?...btw, my intake is mostly fruit, some veggies, chicken, rice, potatos, corn for carbs since I have gluten intolerance..and I eat candy and fast-food quite a lot. I am on zofran btw.

m still not at my pre pregnancy weight. That is more dangerous to the developing baby than the zofran as no weight gain at a healthy/underweight bmi can lead to premature delivery or a low birth weight baby with low nutrition. I am off it now, as I am able to keep some food down but if I start being that ill again I will go back on it so that the baby gets what she needs nutrition and weight wise.

I got super sick too i got zofran as well it helps but still getting sick at night im small already so it worries me everytime i throw up because its been very very hard to gain weight good luck to youu hopefully like they say it gets alot better after your first trimester

I still have to take it occasionally at 22.5 weeks because of continuous nausea and some vomitting. I have been taking it since about 8 weeks when I was diagnosed with hyperemesis.
