zofran under the tongue

Just took my zofran for the first time and it says to place under your tongue to dissolve, by far the nastiest taste I have ever had in my mouth. I feel awful for you mommas that have to take it more often!!

Ask your doctor for Zofran dissolvable pills.!!

Zofran is suppose to be dissolved under your tongue ?? You shouldn't take it whole hence throwing it back up.

brush your tongue alot! Everymorning when I get up the first thing I do is brush my teeth and tongue scrub the very back of your tongue alot. Even if it makes u gag or spit up because it will help you a ton. Right after you can eat breakfast like normal and you'll feel better make sure you dont over eat or that will make it ten times worse.

I HAVE A QUESTION. THE DR IN THE ER TOLD ME TO REST THE PILL UNDER MY TONGUE. BUT IF GIVES OFF A HORRIBLE TASTE SO I END UP SWALLOWING IT. IS THAT WRONG, OR DOES IT NOT MATTER AS LONG AS I'M GETTING IT?

I took Zofran into the fifth month of my pregnancy and had spotting the entire time at least once a week I haven't had any spotting since I went off Zofran

M HOME FROM THE ER, I WAS PUMPED WITH 3 BAGS OF FLUIDS AND GIVEN A PRESCRIPTION FOR ZOFRAN. THE DR SAID KEEP IT UNDER MY TONGUE, BUT AFTER A MINUTE OR 2 I HAD TO JUST SWALLOW IT. HOPEFULLY THAT HELPS.

Hi I hope u feel better I was like that especially after work felt so awful n couldnt keep dinner down im taking ondansetron 4 mgs tablets love them they are true lifesavers and I recommend them talk to your doc about it they have dissolving ones u put under your tongue tell them u want the regular ones your swallow

Although you should ask for the ones that dont desolve under ur tongue. Those made me feel even more nauseous because of the chalky cherry taste. Ewww.

Zolfran or zofran I forgot what it's calles. It's a pill that dissolved under your tongue. It's for nausea for pregnant women, mine works instantly :) it's wonderful!!

Also, has anyone used the medication---Zofran? Mom said that seems to help her feel a little better. She sounds a little stronger today. It is so hard for me to hear her sound weak---this is the lady who took care of 6 kids with her eyes closed!!! Hee Hee!! My concern with the Nuelesta shot is that she also has osteoporosis. Does anyone know if the 10 day shot after chemo is as effective as the one shot Nuelesta? You are all very brave and wonderful women!

Get your Dr to prescribe you Zofran it worked for me. But make sure you ask them for the that dissolves under your tongue because it gets in your system faster, especially if you can't keep anything down.

I know I'm so scared! I know its not good for the baby but I can't help it! I thought I was doing good for a week or 2 because I was eating like crazy, then I would Puke and I'd go right back to eating...gross I know lol but then I got on the scale and it said 88 lbs and i don't know what to do anymore.

Actually there isn't anything wrong with taking zofran... I'm actually on a zofran pump that administer the med to me continuously all day to help with my morning sickness... I'm 20 wks and my baby is doing just fine..

Me top and nothing works not crackers juice mints the zofran I'm sick as heck but soon it shall pass

I habe Zofran generic. It tastes terrible bc you dissolve it on your tongue. Its worked amazingl for me.

ironic that under your question the Zofran lawsuit ad is there... I personally wouldn't take it because of the birth defect thing. but five also only get nauseous & don't puke.

If the Zofran you swallow doesn't always work, request the kind that dissolves under your tongue. If you are vomiting too much for even that, there are suppositories that can help. If you have hyperemesis, do not hesitate to go to the e.r. for iv fluids if you go all day not able to keep even water down. I'm currently on medical leave for this issue. I totally understand how hard it is. My poor hubby just wants to take the pain away.

The ondansetron has a grape flavor but it does make me gag, what I do is place it under my tongue and then swish with a huge gulp of ice cold water. I noticed that my nausea was worse when I was super hungry but I would be so hungry that I couldn't keep anything down- frustrating!

Ask your doctor for Zofran, its a fast acting nausea medicine that dissolves on your tongue. Been my life saver, & Ginger is your best friend. Ginger tea, there is ginger vitamins you can get.. and stay hydrated.. no joke drink as much water as your body will let you. Ive blacked out/passed out due to dehydration because of severe nausea/vomiting... so not fun. Keep your head up. I keep telling myself itll all be worth it.

Sorry I just realized you are only talking about morning sickness not the motion sickness. That being said I think if the zofran is supposed to work you should know right away. I could be wrong but I don't think it's something you have to build up in your system or anything....Anyway again good luck to you!

It helped me tremendously, however the constipation was terrible to deal with. I was able to take 1/2 and eventually 1/4 pills which also helped. I had to push water & tons of fruits/veggies. If you're vomiting and cannot keep pills down they can give you IV fluids & zofran in the IV. Pills come in dissolving format too that you put on your tongue--that didn't work for me. I took zofran weeks 8-21. Good luck.

I just cried until i got Zofran from my doctor. They also have prenatels that are made for sickness w ginger in them. It may only be prescription though.
