zofran suppositories

I was on zofran and constipated too. I used the suppositories they helped, but I had to use the laxatives a few days later. That really worked, but yhe gas pain was no fun.

Has anyone taken zofran for hyperemises? What was your experience with it? This is my third pregnancy and the first time I have experienced severe morning sickness. I have two boys and only had mild nausea with each of them. It is getting worse. To the point where I can't keep anything down. My midwife suggested I take zofran. I'm nervous about it but also need to be able to function and not be hospitalized for malnutrition or dehydration.

I did try coca cola before and it worked for about 3 days and now the smell of coke makes me sick! My doctor prescribed me zofran and phenegran...

its no fun but get a script for Zofran and Pepcid. Zofran is for morning sickness and is a life saver!! and Pepcid helps alot when its with Zofran bc it stops and prevents Heartburn. i dont think i would have my sanity if it werent for these two meds.

I am taking zofran i have been on this medicine for two weeks now i have been having severe nausea and throwing up for weeks now i am losing weight. The medicine isn't working and is just making me constipated. Has anyone had this issue what did you do it is affecting my work i can't stop throwing up.

I've been on Zofran since 4wks and its not helping. Im on Phenergan suppositories and they aren't helping either. The er gave me reglan and that kinda helps but I still feel awful. Im so weak and tired and just want to drink water without feeling sick.

ve had to use suppositories, along with taking fiber gummies. The suppositories have always worked, and when I started taking the fiber gummies no longer needed them (so I thought) with all of this going on I've also had anal fissures. Well today my stomach has had gut wrenching pain because I can't have a bowl movement, so I took a suppository and still couldn't go. I now have a hemorrhoid. Anyone else have it this bad, and should I go to the ER before it gets worse??

m 32 weeks and unfortunately I still have morning sickness. My doctor has prescribed Zofran tablets and phenergran suppositories to help me take in some nutrients. Hopefully you won't feel this way add long as me but early on its not unusual. Talk to your Ob about an anti emetic.

has anyone else been prescribed Zofran for nausea and it ended up causing you constipation? I havnt had a bowl movement in 3 days.. I went and bought 100% prune juice and 100% cranberry juice. how much should I drink per day? any tips will be very helpful!

I'm taking zofran and Reglan and I cannot take my prenatal pills. I've also tried the ginger and that definitely did not work just the smell of it makes me vomit. I'm really out of suggestions.

I needed 3 bags of fluid, 1bag of potassium chloride, and they literally told me they had to overdose me on zofran because I was so nauseous. They said it is a safe medicine and not to worry about the amount they gave me. Anyone else have this? If so, how are you coping? I'm excited to see if the meds I got can help me function.

Thanks. The doctors have tried phenagren, both suppositories and tablets, zofran and reglan, nothing stops the vomiting. Sometimes she can hold something down; for example toast, then the very next day if I give her toast she may throw it up. There is absolutely no method to the madness.

m 11 w 4 d and got to hear that sweet heartbeat again today and this time my husband got to hear it as well! My doctor also hooked me up with zofran for nausea and some stool softener. Anybody take stool softener? I never have so I'm wondering how well it works. Gotta love pregnancy and constipation lol!

Get Botox injections for killer migraines every 3 months (it REALLY does stop them). Tried Zofran sublingual and throw it up, injections of Phernergan, suppositories. Have no regular appetite. If I do feel hungry I'll eat then end up puking within a couple hours. GI Dr. can't come up w/anything. I feel like crap and keep losing weight. Lost 60 lbs since 2007 simply from vomiting. Anybody want to offer ideas/suggestions.

I started to get very sick around my 6th/7th week and I've lost 27lbs bc of my horrible nausea I'm FINALLY starting to feel better. Anything sweet like starburst skittles stuff like that has helped. I've had to take the zofran pills and phenergan suppositories, these have worked wonders. The dr said try saltines and sucking on lime ooh &peppermints. Hope you feel better soon!!!

My dr had given me tablets to desolve in ur mouth (very safe in pregnancy ) and suppositories (also very safe).

Hi phenergan suppositories, peppermint candy, and green tea is what worked for me as well as zofran, itchy scalp, I am not sure. I got a bad scalp infection so tell her to be careful with any break of skin on the scalp.

For nausea, I found that both phenergan suppositories and pills and the sublingual 8mg zofran were more helpful. I'll say one thing for hydroxine though. In doses of 50mg and above, it does have quite a calming effect (it is also used as a tranquilizer I believe, or has been in the past - phenergan has also been used in the past for its antihistamine and tranq qualities as well as for its ability to help with nausea).

I was told to take 4-8mg Zofran, but the Zofran did NOT work for me and I switched to Phenergen, which I took round the clock up until 15 weeks. All the home remedies just frustrated me for not working, and at 12 weeks I ended up in the hospital for 3 days because I could just not keep even water down. I was so bitter about, thinking everyone was saying these natural remedies worked when they really didn't! It was not a conspiracy though, I was just past the point where this stuff worked.

I had to do zofran 8mg every 4 hours eventually gave into the suppositories of promethethizine every four hours when zofran just wouldn't help anymore. I had severe sickness for 7 months with my 4th daughter and with this preganacy I was sick for three weeks straight. I feel your pain.

Compazine suppositories work great and it's the only thing that did work for me And you don't have to swallow them - in the traditional sense that is.

Zofran works and it dissolves. Just ask your doctor! I had the same issue in the beginning. Now that I'm 8 1/2 months it's nighttime sickness!!! Good luck to you all and hope you feel better!

Ask your doctor for zofran im 19 weeks and ive lost 30 pounds just from being sick so my doctor put me on that its amazing

Im in my third trimester and I have this problem every morning. I've switch tooth paste 5 times. I've been on zofran, suppositories. Nothing helps. Doctor say some women have sickness throughout whole pregnancy.

You might want to ask your doc about Zofran (and I've heard there's a generic). It really helped me on triple tx. It's approved for cancer chemo and we had to struggle a bit with the insurance company but it kept me from gagging all the time : ) It doesn't cause drowsiness. Here's the way I felt about tx: do whatever it takes to get through. I don't use a lot of pharmaceuticals but I was a veritable pharmacy during tx!

Everyone is different and what works for some does not work for others. I used zofran and phenergan suppositories for nausea. For constipation I used stool softners and used miralax powder. When I used these like clockwork, I would usually do alright. I kept a medication journal and wrote it all down( or when I wasn't doing so well someone would) so I would not forget something or the time to take it.

My observation from reading and following so many peoples various things to help this side effect,it seems Zofran seems to come up quite often,I think I may try to have some in the cuboard when I start,it's a bit expensive but what price do I put on my health,any other suggestions,or anyone tell me more about the effectivness of Zofran.

I waa given everything to help it phenegran which didnt help suppositories which didnt help then iv zofran and pill form zofran. They did everything they could to get me healthy. Hope you ladiea feel better soon :-) good luck.
