Avatar f tn Thank you. ..
Avatar f tn what is safe to take at this point in pregnancy?
Avatar f tn Hi again:) wondering what you take for morning sickness? I have taken OTC b6/unisom didn't help. Now on zofran but my good ins plan ends sat. Zofran without insurance using generic name, I can't think of it now but it costs 311.00 dollars without ins. You ladies know of an rx that is cheaper without good insurance since I will have to pay out of pocket. Thx for your time.
Avatar f tn ve tried sitting up, walking around, laying down, drinking water, eating crackers or toast, tums, zofran that my ob prescribed nothing has helped.
Avatar n tn So I.started taking zofran because.nausea is so bad. However, now I am incredibly constipated. What can I take that is dr/preggy approved?
Avatar f tn t know about zofran, I took (OTC) motion sickness tablets, and b-vitamin supplements and both methods helped. When I saw those ads about the lawsuits I was happy I hadn't taken zofran.
Avatar f tn Its OTC so a Dr wouldn't prescribe it. I've just never seen it used in pregnancy before... Did your Dr suggest you take it?
4331946 tn?1355816857 You could talk to you doctor about bring prescribed zofran but i honestly only take it when ours absolutely necessary because it causes the worst constipation
492869 tn?1285018933 I have had no luck with any of the usual anti-emetics (phenergan, reglan, zofran, compazine) and also just finished a trial of domperidone which I had to get from a canadian pharmacy as it is not available in states. So still no relief. Sometimes eating small meals with 'soft' consistancy helps, other times the only thing that helps is not eating. I have found a muscle relaxer, zanaflex, that was prescribed for my chronic headaches/migraines to be the only thing that helps.
Avatar m tn t do it and you should try prescription meds. Most of us have had very good results from Zofran, though there are occasional people who get nothing but a headache from it. For me, Zofran is nothing short of a miracle. I can't take most anti-nausea meds – most of them only slightly reduce the nausea but very effectively render me nearly unconscious. Zofran comes in either 4mg or 8mg, and comes either as a pill you swallow or as one you dissolve on your tongue.
Avatar f tn Zofran is the only thing helping me survive. I have noticed that I still need to eat with it. Super small portions. And it seems nothing but carbs. Water was difficult as well. Apple juice was a little easier. Ginger helps a touch. Honestly, nothing took it 100% away, but zofran made it tolerable. Are you eating with the meds? If not, try that. My sis in law was on an iv drip for 8 months when she was pregnant due to similar issues.
Avatar f tn Im gonna bimp this bcause i dont know what you can take otc but Nothing worked for me.. my dr put me on zofran which made me throw up too.. i got thru it with unsalted pretzels, ice and watermelon.. i hope u feel better because that was the absolute worst part of pregnancy!Good luck!
Avatar f tn I've never heard of this before unisom is a sleep aid but i don't see why sleeping better would help with nausea i have an abnormally high level of hormones that my body produces and have been diagnosed with hyperemisis during this pregnancy and both of my previous two it's excessive vomiting due to the high level off hormones my body produces.
Avatar m tn Yes; I tried Meclizine & Zofran (given to cancer patients) and found both ineffective. My daughter, a NP, said that i have "neuro nausea". Aside effect of The Zofran was that it made me constipated. I have probably lost 10-15 lb in the last couple mo. So I just went back to recommendations for morning sickness. I also chew a lot of peppermint gum, which is as effective as anything if not more so!
Avatar f tn My Dr changed me from OTC to a script, I started feeling so nauseous! After talking to some ladies on here I tried taking my OTC counter ones again instead of the script ones, I feel SOOO much better! Try a different brand or taking the Flintstones ones. Someone else also suggested a combination of regular vitamins to make sure you get everything you need. Talk to your doctor and see if they have any suggestions.
10909590 tn?1416437106 They dnt well zofran in my country for some reason...
Avatar f tn My doctor starts everyone with b6 (you can't get it OTC) every 6 hours, if that doesn't work add 1/2 tab unisom with it every 6 hours... If that doesn't work ask for Zofran- that's all that's helped me- heck I'm 20 weeks and still having to take it so good luck!
Avatar f tn I am in need of finding a better treatment for all this nausea (side effect of the triple treatment for my Hep C) and was wondering if any of you have tried the Transderm-Scop patches that you wear for 72 hours. Have tried Zofran and all it gave me was enormous headaches, now using the Phenegran but needed it every 4 hours like clockwork.....ANY opinions and information will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn does it really work for nausea.....how well? Does anyone know about the OTC nausea meds. asked the pharmacist she says she doesn't know how well it works.......any info would be great. Nauty................
Avatar f tn Have you been eating anything all? Or hydrating? You need to make sure to drink lots of water and try to eat a little. A Banana here and there would be great, ginger ale, toast or crackers. As far as the burning goes...Pepto Bismol...or something that coats the tummy if you have anything like that. If you have a regular doctor you could call and see if he'll call in something for you too. I used Zofran when I was CT which worked really well.
Avatar f tn I feel for you. I've been taking Zantac 2x daily for reflux but doc has just switched me to protonix 1 x day cuz Zantac wasn't cutting it. I've had vomiting throughout this pregnancy due to hormones & reflux so I've been on and off zofran since week 8. Without the zofran I was dehydrated from vomiting so much & that was a viscious circle of IVs. If you're vomiting every meal you should definitely call.
Avatar f tn I have bad heart burn as well so I take Prilazac otc once a day as well. If u want to ask Dr about nausea meds it could help. Don't use Zofran as its sid to cause birth defects.
Avatar f tn I understand im 14 weeks and still having awful morning sickness(all day) They have me on Zofran( helps a little) but Ive found that the otc sleep aid thry recomend has helped me the most
Avatar f tn ve said something sooner, because once I got my prescription it started going down(just my luck). Ask for zofran over finnergan because it doesn't knock you out, like finnergan does.
Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed Zofran and it helped a lot; I was able to function. That being said, when i first took it, the side effects were almost worse that the nausea/vomiting. I would get super dizzy and extremely tired. Talk to your doctor about it and male sure you let them know if there are any side effects!
Avatar f tn My ob recommended otc meds like colace and miralax. Feel better doll.
Avatar f tn What are some OTC stool softener or laxatives that can be taken during pregnancy?
