I tried to take the pills but I was way to sick for that! So I have been on the Zofran pump (pumps Zofran into my stomach 24 hours a day) for the last 3 months. It's been "Heaven sent" for me! I lost 28 pounds in my first trimester and was unable to eat or drink anything for 11 weeks! Now because of the pump, I can eat anything and have gained 3 of those pounds back!
Any migraine sufferers out there pre pregnancy? Have you experienced any throughout pregnancy? How did you cope what did your doctor prescribe?
Hi! I was wondering if you would please add ZOFRAN and DEPACON to the Migraine Tracker "treatments" please?!?!?!?! ZOFRAN could also be added to ANY of the pain related trackers, period as it is an antinausea medication.

I was diagnosed with a transfer migraine last August. It started on Aug 1st and hasn't left me since. It's been an agonizing 6 months. It's called transfer migraine because it moves all over my head. I've never had one of those common migraines where the light bothers me or I get nauseated or see auras, etc. My migraines have been "light" headaches that stay with me for a few days: from 3 to five days at the most.
A silent migraine, ocular migraine etc are all examples of atypical migraine. Generally this occurs in response to weather changes, spasm of blood vessels of the brain, insufficient sleep, motion sickness and exposure to bright lights.

Although, I do not personally have abdominal migraines, I have a different type of migraine from abdominal migraine.
In high school, my first boyfriend had abdominal migraines (I think), although now he gets common migraines (I believe that some children and adolescents "grow out" of abdominal migraines and "into" common or classic migraines).

I have severe HG with this pregnancy and it started around 6 weeks. The only thing I found helped was Zofran and sleep because when I was asleep was the only time I didn't feel so ill. If you've tried lots of things think about what eased the nausea the most and try and stick to it. Unfortunately it is one of those things we have to grin and bear.
My vision is blurry now, and I'm not sure why. Could be Zofran, could be about 10 other things. I have stopped taking the Zofran for a day, and it didnt' change my eyesight. Everybody is different. It does help with the nausea pretty quickly though. I'm hoping that my body gets used to all of this and that I can stop taking it though. I'm not liking taking all of these meds.
Has your Neuro offered any migraine medications such as Topamax, or triptans such as Maxalt for the migraine pain, or nausea medications such as Zofran? I believe, like you, that the pain is the after effects from the surgery but it also is migraine like as your Doctor stated. It is common to have migraines after such surgery and it is important for you to find what triggers the pain.

I was just wondering if anyone else is suffering from migraines that eventually lead to vomiting!? Sometimes I can get rid of them before it gets to bad but other times it's so intense there's nothing I can do and begin violently vomiting. More so in the late afternoon going towards the night. I've been using zofran to help nausea and apparently it has headaches as a side effect but not chronic migraines. Any tips? I'm truely struggling.
when i was 7 months i called n was sent to the ER got an IV N STRERIODS n STRONG PAIN RELIVER cus of my migraine got to the point where i almost fainted....
It depends on how bad your nausea is. Google I tried the diclegis but it didn't work for me bc I had severe nausea but Zofran works very well.
I never experienced nausea with Topamax but i did experience many other side effects. It definitely cleared the migraines the best. However, over time and with the increase dose of 200 mg eventually I became aphasic, unable to recall recent events, numbness in my extremities and eventually lost my job due to the neurological symtoms. Now i am on Inderal or propranolol which is a beta blocker and only 80 mg and it helps the headaches without the side effects. Talk to your doctor and suggest it.
They always gave me morphine Vicodin dilaudid for pain and iv been on zofran and phenergan for nausea im even on migraine medicine and Tylenol three until my migains even out
I have a headache that is what I think to be a migraine now. I was diagnosed with chronic migraines a few months ago but dealt with it with meds. Now that im preg I cant take them. ... im in pain and don't know what to do.
I usually see zig zags or get a blind spot 10minutes before the migraine starts and then the throbbing pain behind my eyes and on one side of my head will start, my body will go numb on one side, my tongue will also go numb which will result in me being unable to speak constructively or make any sense.I will get nauseous and eventually end up vomiting. I lose my appetite and become very weak and I'm unable to get any sleep because the pain increases when I lay down.
Zofran just covers the symptoms but they come back when Zofran wears off. The coiling was basilar. Not sure what the clip area is called but is upper left close to eye. That's where the over 20 staples were anyway! We are in Ecuador now and our small town doesn't have much in decent medical care. We don't go back to the US until March or April. I just hope I can hold off that long.
In 2009, scientists at Stanford University School of Medicine have discovered that a commonly available non-addictive drug can prevent symptoms of withdrawal from opioids with little likelihood of serious side effects. The drug, ondansetron, (zofran) which is already approved to treat nausea and vomiting, appears to avoid some of the problems that accompany existing treatments for addiction to opiates.
Hello all,
I am 10 weeks pregnant and extremely sick. I have headaches, even as extreme as turning into migraines. I have all day nausea and vomiting that won't let up. I have an aversion to all food and seemingly can only keep down crackers and bread. I'm worried I'm starving my baby, as I have absolutely no animal protein, no chicken or eggs or even yogurt.
