I've never heard of this before unisom is a sleep aid but i don't see why sleeping better would help with nausea i have an abnormally high level of hormones that my body produces and have been diagnosed with hyperemisis during this pregnancy and both of my previous two it's excessive vomiting due to the high level off hormones my body produces.
Zofran is suppose to be dissolved under your tongue ?? You shouldn't take it whole hence throwing it back up.
Zofran was my life savior it was the only thing that made me be able to get up out of bed and eat my baby girl arrived. 2 Days ago and is healthy and beautiful!
I am 9 weeks pregnant with #2 and the nausea is debilitating. I have a script for zofran, it doesn't work. I can not take reglan, phenergan, compazine, or emetrol. It doesn't matter if I eat. The nausea gets worse as the day goes on. It's not quite as bad if I stay flat, however I work full time and have a 4 year old. I was sick my entire pregnancy with DD. I puked more with her. This nausea is just about intolerable.
My all day sickness is kicking my ***! I called my Dr they would not phone in a prescription. Zofran from my sister had helped so much well kinda. I've been fighting morning sickness for about three weeks and only have had 4 zofran to help. I'm getting sick of being sick. I hope my Dr will prescribe me zofran on Monday and possibly something to help me sleep. I'm excited for my first obgyn appointment on Monday yay!! Let's hope we can get this puking under control tho!!!!
Hey, I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I lost one at 8weeks 5months ago, so we were goin to wait until next year & be careful. One time my partner & I weren't careful, now I'm pregnant! I have a 6 year old & I'm now quite excited about the idea (after being terrified at first). There's one thing different this time round. Sickness. I'm so sick all of the time, I can't sleep, eat or even cuddle with my partner in the morn (morning breath)!!
I started with 2mg Lorazapam and it worked right away . I had nausea right away as that was one of my first symptoms when I got sick. I took alot of ginger for the nausea at first and then I needed something stronger and that's when I took Zofran. The Zofran worked on my nausea right away also. If you take the two together at bedtime, the Lorazapam will help you sleep and the Zofran will help with the nausea.
For the sickness ask the doctor about Zofran. Find things you can eat that don't make you sick, for me it's been graham crackers and lemonade or orange juice. Get rid of any scents in your home, I had to box up all of the air fresheners/candles/perfume and change all of my soaps to things with no scent or very little scent because every smell made me sick. Also try to avoid watching any food commercials, any time I would see a food commercial I would throw up.
HA I slept all day and night I feel great today I am actually going to a movie but I agree I will ask for the Zofran I dont like that sleepy feeling! nygirl7 if your not sleeping at all they will give you something to help you sleeping is important on this just not all day and all night! Cant wait to the finish line NO MORE PILLS for me Blah!
During my carbo/taxotere treatments I got Zofran and decadron IV, more decadron and Emend in pill form for three days, and Zofran in pill form for as long as I needed it. I still suffered lots and lots of nausea.
Now during my carbo/gemzar treatments I get Aloxi and decadron IV, take Zofran (8 mg) and Promethazine (Phenergan) for four days after each tx. This combo seems to work for me.
I used Zofran and compazine in the past (not on tx) Zofran If it's okay for him to take had no sides and worked the best for me, i've heard others say the same thing.
ve been to the er like 5 times due to not being able to keep anything not even water down they admitted me to the hospital and kept me in over night to control me im fine once im in the hospital with the iv fluids plugged in and getting zofran for nausea but the day after I leave its all back to normal ..
m in pain from The position The baby Sometimes lays in. So It helps to relieve The nausea and helps me sleep too. But zofran works really good For nausea and doesn't make You sleepy. I didn't Like taking reglan Because It made me more moodier Then usual and made me restless. Just talk to your doctor and They will find something That works Well For You... Also, lemon and Ginger helps. Anything with b6 vitamins helps a little to.
I was recently sent to the ER by my ob for rehydration since I wasn't able to keep ANYTHING down for the past week. I was prescribed zofran but it honestly doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm 9wks. My prev pregnancy I had bad nausea but not nearly this bad vomitting. Anyone experiencing the same???
