I do agree hun talk to your ob about zofran. I've had bad nausea this whole pregnancy and I'm 36w+3d and on zofran and it helps so much.

Have any of u mommys taken zofran for morning sickness? My doctor prescribed it to me but im nervous to take a medication while pregnant.

Phenergan, zofran, ginger, something with not a whole lot of flavor, ******* pops, sipping on ice cold water, sucking on ice, etc.. I had severe vomiting while pregnant(there's a medical term for it) and had to do all of that for the first 5 months! They even gave me the Phenergan and told me to put it up my butt bc it would help better... embarrassing!

Fresh ginger root is my best friend. Doesn't take much but try eating a spoonful. Helps me immediately.

Im 9weeks and i have been throwing up everyday sometimes 5 times a day nothing helps . The doctor gave me zofran but it doesnt help. Is this normal ?

Anyone else have really bad morning sickness? They prescribed me zofran as usual which kind of scared me even though I took it with my last 3 pregnancies and haven't noticed any major birth defects. Any other suggestions that can help with morning sickness?

I think dilectin is only prescribed in Canada. Zofran is used more in the USA.

Throughout my whole first trimester I would feel sick but never threw up. If I felt sick I would grab a glass of water and a chesse stick or crackers sit down and eat as many as I needed until I stopped feeling sick and then I was fine.

It didn't do a whole lot for me but i've heard amazing things about ginger try canada dry ginger ale or some ginger snap cookies. They also have things that i think you can get at babies r us or motherhood stores called prego pops that i've heard worked wonders.. hope you feel better uck i know what you're going thru!

I am alternating between erythromycin and domperidone every 6 months. Plus I am on Zofran for the nausea. Just ordered the domperidone from Canada so we will see how that works.

I will be 32 weeks on Sunday. When I was in my first trimester I was very nauseous!! Only got sick a hand full of times.. I asked my doctor for something to stop me from being so sick all the time.. they prescribed me zofran! It is AMAZING! Haven't been nauseous since 9 weeks and haven't gotten sick. It's god sent! Lol definitely ask for some.

I know what zofran can do but ive been so sick my dr put me on it because i wasnt even keeping water down. I only take it when i need too. But for all the moms that have ever taken it has it ever not worked? I had to take it yesterday and today and both morning about 30 minutes after taking it i threw up anyway, im worried because i dont know if my morning sickness is getting worse or if i caught a small bug.

Canada dry, anything with ginger in it. Ginger cookies, lollipop etc. salty crackers. If that doesn't work ask your Obygn for nausea medicine.

I have taken my zofran and am hoping that that is the end of it. I took phenegren for a couple of years when needed but earlier this year when my hubby took me to the ER they gave me zofran and I found it worked WAY better than the phenegran. But it seems lately like it's kinda lost its luster and is not as efficient as it once was. I just got a sprite and am trying to sip my way through that. Anybody have any suggestions? Do you think its from the ulcers?

There are 2 medications. One is called Phenegren (sp??) and one is called Zofran. I have never used Zofran but have heard that it helps some and not others. The same for Phenegren. Phenegren I have taken before and I don't really remember it helping me much. It does make you very sleepy though. So that one is hard to take when you have to get really early. It will just knock you out. I hope you feel better. Just know that you are not alone......

It was working for me and than they took it off the market. My doctor just suggested a drug from Canada named domperidone. Does anyone have any experience with this drug. I tried Reglan and couldn't handle the side affects. Erithamyacin made me break out in a rash. Right now I depend on Zofran for the throwing up and sometimes it doesn't help. I'm trying a motion sickness patch called Transderma scop and it seems to help alittle.

I just want to say it is like night and day since they gave me a script for some , started today, I was up all last night vomiting, do not suffer ask your doctor for some!!

Yes zofran is great. Took in beginning of pregnancy and now again towards the end..

Maybe look into promethazine?

So has anyone taken zofran while pregnant? I try to stay away from all medicine except my vitamins but the other night I ate something and I'm guessing my baby really didn't like it because I've been kind of sick since then but the other night the nausea was unbearable so I took one.

Any reviews on zofran ? Im 20 weeks and ive been taking it once a day almost my whole pregnancy to help me keep down food. But now im hearing bad things about it. I havent had an ultra sound yet so im worried about it?

I'm now 12w3d and I've been having really bad morning sickness to the point I have to go to the hospital 3times a week just for fluids and I've been taking the prescription zofran since I was 9 weeks. I recently saw that zofran is being sued for causing birth defects.. I've asked my doctor about it and she just says that there is no evidence yet.. I'm trading the pill form and getting thru iv.. I'm a ftm and I just don't know what to do right now.

I have terrible morning sickness and I was given a prescription for ondansetron 4mg which is the generic version of zofran. I'm scared to take it because of the possible side effects and the warnings I've seen on TV. I don't want to take any risks when it comes to my baby. Any thoughts on this?

Dmpnonna, I weighed 120 before pregnancy. Minus 40 pounds. I got down to 79 pounds. I went into preterm labor bc my body just simply could not support the weight of my baby. At 22 weeks my baby would not have survived. I was told by so many doctors "you have your baby now, he WILL die" zofran saved his life. If it wasn't for zofran I would weigh 107 now and I wouldn't still be carrying our sweet little boy at 30 weeks. Sometimes drugs are necessary.

So my doctor prescribed me some nausea medicine called zofran and I was watching a commercial on tv and it was talking about how babies are being born with birth defects after using the nausea medicine zofran. So should I stop taking it and find other ways to deal with the nausea ? or should I continue to use it if my doctor recommended it.
