the doc had zofran compounded into a cream to rub into my skin and that helped some, finally I was getting desperate and thought why not I have tried everything else, so I took a zantac and in a couple of hours the nausea was so much better and most days it is gone. Don't take it too close to the riba that stuff is so sensitive I try not to take anything around it. Give the zantac a try though....
I feel for you. I've been taking Zantac 2x daily for reflux but doc has just switched me to protonix 1 x day cuz Zantac wasn't cutting it. I've had vomiting throughout this pregnancy due to hormones & reflux so I've been on and off zofran since week 8. Without the zofran I was dehydrated from vomiting so much & that was a viscious circle of IVs. If you're vomiting every meal you should definitely call.
Has anyone else had to take zofran every day ? I'm 10 weeks and have to take it every morning.
Try tums for heartburn they are safe during pregnancy and zofran is a b class drug and is considered somewhat safe during pregnancy but there also has been birth defects but if you can't keep anything down then I would take the chance. Try gingerale and crackers first before putting your baby in any possible harm but if you can't keep anything down I think it would be worth taking zofran to stop the vomiting.
I currently am 8 wks, for the last 4 wks I've ended up in the ER for dehydration. I'm having trouble keeping food & liquids down & so they put me on zofran. I also had GERD so I'm on Zantac as well. Now I have a sore throat. I just don't feel like myself, I don't feel happy. I can't even function to take care of my other 2. Now I'm a little scared because I know zofran isn't good to take while pregnant but that seems like it helps.
My doctor had me take the sleeping pill wake up and take the zofran and then eat and drink. It was the only way I could keep anything down. This is my second pregnancy and the only time I need zofran is when my migraines make me so nausea I can't eat or drink. Pretty much zofran is a pregnant's woman's wonder when it's unbearable. I also have severe hyperemis and have been hospitalized twice with dehydration. I am 15 weeks and still have to take Zofran 3 times a day and Reglan for my worse days. When I can eat I find its easiest to keep down like plain bread and butter. My doctor told me to try celery and cucumbers since they have so much water in them...watermelon made me really sick. Otherwise try protein shakes or bars for nutrients.
I'm taking zofran and Reglan and I cannot take my prenatal pills. I've also tried the ginger and that definitely did not work just the smell of it makes me vomit. I'm really out of suggestions.

Good luck. Mine has gotten so bad that nothing hardly helps. I have to take Zantac and zofran (which is for nausea) before bed. If I don't do that and sleep with my head elevated i wake up at least twice to go throw up from the burn of acid reflux. 28w today and been having heartburn every day going on two months now.
Am 36 weeks and 1 day I can't get sleep every night I go to bed at 11:00pm and am a wake until 4 am plus am having hurtburnt everyday and night can anyone please tell me what to about hurtburnt and sleep trouble thank you
So now im on keflex, zithromax, albuterol, zofran, tums, cough drops, robitussin dm, and got a shot of rocefin in the arse. How does an ear infection turn into pneumonia? ??? I didn't even know that was possible! And my doc says taking all these meds is safe but that seems like an awful lot to me.
