All it did was put me to sleep, then when I woke up I just felt drunk and groggy and was still sick as a dog. I loved zofran though, I wouldn't have been able to eat at all or even drink if I hadn't of had it.

I was never given reglan. I took Phenergan and Zofran, though the zofran never did much for me. If you're still getting sick frequently you might need to go to the hospital to make sure you're not getting dehydrated.

t really work well unless the nausea is caused by slow GI motility. It works by increasing motility and speeding up stomach and intestinal transit time. Reglan is also not meant to be taken long-term, although doctors routinely prescribe it that way. In too-high doses, psychosis can occur. I've seen this reaction in one of my dogs who was taking Reglan for nausea related to kidney failure.

Most doctors won't give reglan to pregnant women zofran is safer I would talk to your doctor about this

I have hypermesis gravidarum and the ONLY way I can keep things down is by using oth Zofran and reglan. Get to the hospital though, don't wait until morning.

I have been on reglan for awhile now and I love it. I tried zofran and it didn't work for me, it just made me constipated. Reglan is perfectly safe to take. I haven't had any side effects.

Talk to Ur doctor about nausea meds. They usually give zofran. So far I've taken zofran, reglan and phenergan. Phenergan makes You tired, So I've been taking That recently Because I'm 24 weeks, still puking and getting nauseous and I'm in pain from The position The baby Sometimes lays in. So It helps to relieve The nausea and helps me sleep too. But zofran works really good For nausea and doesn't make You sleepy.

Was on reglan didnt work at all, switched to zofran and i feel great, accept when i first wake up. 25 weeks pregnant, some get lucky and have no sickness some for a few weeks some whole pregnancy. Ask your dr about reglan if it doesn't work ask about zofran, try a superfood diet. Specially designed for pregnant women, you could not be getting enough iron. Superfoods help with sickness and a healthy pregnancy!

I have been taking Zofran and Reglan since week 7 and am now 23 weeks... The risk associated with dehydration and malnutrition due to HG is far greater than the potential side effects of Zofran and Reglan. My little guy is perfectly healthy up to this point. To each their own though.

m very sick with this pregnancy and my doctor tried to give me everything but zofran like reglan, diclegis, phenergen, etc and none of the worked so they put me back on zofran which helps only a little bit.

I have severe hypermesis with all of my pregnancies. With my first I was only 17, they admitted me to the hospital for re-hydration and gave me phenergan in my IV. I had NO idea that I was allergic to it. I had a severe dystonic reaction to it. I was seizing so bad my entire body was jumping off the bed. I was alone and my grandma walked in and saw it. She thought I was dying. I was completely alert to what was going on but my jaw was locked and I couldn't talk or call for help.

I had hyperemesis an I took reglan and zofran daily until 20 weeks, an just cut down to zofran. It never took it all away, but it helped considerably. Dont worry about weight gain at this point. t do enough so after a few stays in the hospital the doctor decided to give me both, I was around 15 weeks I believe. Zofran and reglan together work great for me! I still throw up about once a day but sometimes I can go the entire day not throwing up. I've been able to GAIN about 15 lbs. before I was on both I kept dropping weight since nothing would stay down. For a while all I could eat was cereal too and then out of nowhere I became lactose intolerant.

I did Zofran and it backed me up so bad I was in pain and crying. My doc switched it to Reglan and it worked immediately with no side effects.

its no fun but get a script for Zofran and Pepcid. Zofran is for morning sickness and is a life saver!! and Pepcid helps alot when its with Zofran bc it stops and prevents Heartburn. i dont think i would have my sanity if it werent for these two meds.

I have been on all three meds and was just about to go on the zofran pump when one day I wanted to see if maybe it was too much meds at once.. i stopped my meds and was great for 3 days then bad for 4.. so I started back on 4mg of zofran and have only been throwing up once a day at the most.. my midwife was a bit upset I just quit my meds but she said I know my body and if it's working then play with the meds.. this is my 4th pregnancy and my other 3 I was never sick.

which pretty much does the same thing as Reglan. Although I am 38 weeks and have taken Zofran non stop for 32 of those weeks, it was Heaven sent! Zofran was the only thing that helped me live through this pregnancy...SERIOUSLY!

I tried 3 meds b4 I got help. I'm now on reglan. Talk to ur doc. I feel for you the nausea is BAD for me. I'm 13 weeks and praying for a hormonal change. Feel better.

I agree with whisper. Call your doc and see if the can get you some zofran it works for most people. If it doesn't they have other options ie phenegran and reglan.

I understand your pain! At 6 weeks I was diagnosed with Hypermesis (HG). I could not keep anything down including water (which is not the best for severe nausea and vomiting so don't drink a lot). On my worse day I vomited 14 hours non-stop. When I was 1st diagnosed I vomited for 33 hours. I had severely dehydration, low sodium, low potassium, extremely low blood pressure and my body was starving. I was in the ER weekly for meds and IV fluid.

I have been diagnosed with HG, am now on Zofran, and trust me, taking medication is much better for you and your baby than dehydration and malnourishment.

I had super bad nausea in my first trimester and took zofran during the day and promethazine at night. It worked great that way I didn't wake up naucious and throwing my guts up. It defiantly does make you sleepy though because I slept like a baby in my first trimester.

I take zofran , and reglan because one medication isn't enough . I take 8mg zofran , 10 mg reglan . Ask for the dissolve tablets . If this continues into your 2nd trimester , and gets worse like mine , you should ask your doctor about a PICC line . I have one in for IV fluids , IV vitamins , and IV zofran . It's the only thing that helps me anymore .

I'm taking zofran and Reglan and I cannot take my prenatal pills. I've also tried the ginger and that definitely did not work just the smell of it makes me vomit. I'm really out of suggestions.

I lived with ice water by my bed at night. Taking prescribed Zofran (anti-emetic) and Reglan for the acidosis (neutralized the acid) - the throwing up constantly was wearing away the lining of my esophagus. Before my throat healed over a day or two, EVERYTHING hurt to eat. Then I'd throw up. With the meds, I could at least get a lil food down and keep it there.
