I also take Zofran. It's the only thing that has helped me keep food down. Love it but it does make you constipated.
Ok so my dr prescribed me zofran for nausea and it made me super constipated. I just went 6 days without pooping and my stomach hurt the whole time. I need to know what to do in case this happens again. Any at home remedies? Also ever since i went earlier ive been having really bad gas mostly burping. Any suggestions?
I read that Juice Plus is a great supplement during pregnancy and may help with the constipation. Anyone out there tried Juice Plus?
Has anyone taken Zofran and what are some of your side effects? My morning sickness has been horrible...the worst ever. I am usually in bed all day and feeling like I can't do anything. My doctor initially prescribed Diclegis, but it doesn't help me. It made me sleep all day, causing me to skip meals and drinks. It also have me bad headaches. So I asked my DR to please let me try something else. At this point, I'm in tears because I can't keep anything down. Dr calls in Zofran.
I was exactly the same zofran help my nausea but made constipation bad miralax worked for me not right away but I finally had bowel movement.
Ok so I've had terrible nausea I'm guessing its from the progesterone shots I've been recieving. I can't keep anything down so I let my doc know, she prescribed something that really hasn't worked and I've notice I'm getting a tad constipated. I absolutely hate the feeling of constipation:(((

I experienced constipation, and it honestly didn't do much for my nausea. So now I take both Raglan and Zofran for morning (all-day) sickness. A home remedy that I find useful is drinking ginger tea (ginger root peeled and sliced, with hot water. You can add sugar or honey for taste). Good luck!
t know about heart defects but the hospital gave it to me at 21wks and 26wks for severe nausea and vomiting. It gave me terrible constipation but baby's heart is fine according to last scan at almost 32wks.
Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant almost 7 now and I have had the worse nausea of my life. Not much of throwing up just nausea. I was prescribed Zofran to help with that but I have found that a lot of women who have taken it have had their child born with deformities. Has anyone taken this medicine before???
I'm 7 weeks pregnant and suffering from nausea now every min of the day for over a week. I've lost weight and can't get a lot of fluids down And work full time. My Dr. Gave me Zofran but I'm a little weary of taking it. Has anyone taken zofran during pregnancy, what are your thoughts?

I was 150 before pregnancy got down to 123..Zofran worked great I just took something for constipation and then I was fine...without it I was miserable..I'm now 36 weeks and I weigh 148 baby is over 5 pounds.. don't scare this mom with that non sense about that lawsuit.. I believe God takes care of his people and that's that..
If the doc won't give you nausea meds then vitamin B can help with nausea... I'm on zofran, my OB said it's safe, he's experienced as an OB, however; I've seen on this forum that other types of nausea meds are safer in pregnancy than zofran..also here comes tmi...I have had bad constipation from the zofran but it's a good trade to be able to eat and drink on the zofran.
Every single commercial you see regarding a drug hits the rare side effects at the very end. Zofran is used in labor routinely and safely. I had to have it in both of my deliveries due to nausea and vomiting (seems I am a total wimp and that is part of my pain reaction).
Listen to any drug add and they, at the very end, list a couple of things that according to the package inserts on these drugs is are very low but legally they have to mention them in order to broadcast an ad.
Its not always going to stop the symptoms...just take the edge off. Unfortunately there is no 100% cure for morning/all day sickness other then delivering your baby! Try and eat small meals if you can and stay hydrated BC while the zofran may help your.body won't feel better unless it is also nourished . take care!
Good morning, I took zofran and the only side effect I had was constipation. So drink lots of water and eating good fiber is important! I hope they hwlpb you how ever vomiting was so draining!
