zithromax and penicillin

I am allergic to Keflex, Zithromax, and Clindamycin, I was just prescribed amoxicillian, should I be concerned

Well that night about 3-4 hours later I went to the Emergency Room, and they gave me 4 pills of Zithromax and a shot of Rocephin. I told the gf about the encounter, and then 2 days after the Emergency Room visit I received Penicillin G because I was worried about Syphillis exposure since I didn't know the person. So my question is... Would receiving Zithromax and Rocephin 3-4 hours after possible exposure basically cure me that night if I did have gonorrhea or NCG?

Had a progressively worsening sore throat for 3 days, rapid test positive for strep. Started Zithromax 500mg per day for 5 days due to penicillin allergy. Now starting my 3rd day of treatment with no change in pain status. Have gargled every few hours with salt or apple cider vinegar; no relief. Should I become worried? I read that usually symptoms clear up within a day once starting a/biotics. Any help or input would be appreciated.

I had an extra z-pack at home so I took 1g of zithromax last night. I am wondering if I should go get a shot of ceftriaxone and/or penicillin just to make my anxiety go away. No other partners involved in the last few months so nobody to inform. Advice on this plan or suggestions on what else to do would be greatly appreciated. Also not sure if I need a second gram of zithromax since it won't have been at the same time as the ceftriaxone.

You will end up (if the infection is bacterial) with an infection resistant to antibiotics. See a physician for a proper prescription and antibiotic. Many physician choose zithromax (the Z-pak) as the broad-spectrum antibiotic of choice for a lung infection.

I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with chlamydia and tested negative for gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV, I was prescribed the 1000mg dose of zithromax, I took the pills and ate two hours after I took the pill (the directions said take 1 hour prior to eating).

I was give 1 gm of zithromax, 250 mg of rocephin, and 2.4 mu of bicillin. Fast forward three weeks. I get a terrible sore in my mouth, the throught of syphilis crosses my mind, but I figured I am safe. A couple of months after that I get numerous other sores in my mouth and what seems like a rash on my back side, so I get nervous that I am possibly resistant to the drugs and get a RPR test at 105 days after the encounter which was negative.

I have successfully taken erythromycin, zithromax and biaxin. Anybody allergic to cillins and quinones who has had good luck with Sulfa drugs? Thanks, in advance, for the help!

just shy of 4 weeks after my last encounter, I went to clinic and was given 250 mg rocephin, 1 gram zithromax and I got a shot of 2.4 MU penicillin G benthizine as a precaution. I also got good news that I am to finish my current box of Bicillin (penicillin) shots and then switch to an oral long lasting Augmentin (penicillin). I took Augmentin 875 for a week when I first got sick, not knowing what I had, and I recovered from my severe flu-like symptoms in a couple of days. It worked great. I don't finish my shots until early January, but I am glad to know the end is in sight. I will no longer feel like a pin cushion!

I read most of your answers and I am not very much worried about HIV. One day after I had severe diarrhea and fatigue. 60 hours after intercourse I had 1 g Zithromax to prevent bacterial infection. And l got vaccinated for hepatitis B. And also I had Imodium for diarrhea. I will get tested for chlamidia and gonorrea on the 8th day. Do you think I should also take penicillin 2.4mU for syphilis. Can it be effective during incubation period. And also should I take HGIB for hepatitis B.

(I was tested negative for gonnorhea/chlamydia, treated in case with a shot of penicillin G, 1g dose of zithromax, and two approx 3 week treatments with Doxycycline and had three urinalysis which all came back good (first one showed a small amount of blood) and a rectal exam by my doctor showed a slightly "enflamed" or enlarged prostate). This doesn't compute. Neither drug is in the penicillin category and both are commonly used in penicillin allergic patients. Azithro is very long acting and is normally given in a single dose for chlamydia or other STDs; I've never heard of it being prescribed it for 10 days.

So i went to the E.R. tonight for moderate pain in my lower abdomen and frequent urination ( suspected a UTI ). After my urine came back clean and free of sugars the E.R. doctor gave me the dreaded swab saying that he suspected gonorrhea or chlamydia. I informed him that I'd been with the same partner for 9 years and that this didn't seem likely His only response to this was that she should get checked too. Now my concern is that I'm being medicated for something that I do not have.

What are the contraindications of taking penicillin and valacyclovir during the same cycle ? Can they both be taken on the same day ?

We tried 3 anti-fungals and 2 antibiotics: clindomycin (worked initially); penicillin (worked initially); diflucan (didn't work); zithromax (nope); tetrazole (didn't work and REALLY irritated my inner workings). 2. I used about every home remedy I could get info on: garlic, yogurt, peroxide, tea tree oil, oregano oil...

Both prevacid and prilosec have the same actions so they do the same things. The only interaction that I know of with prevacid and penicillin is with a type of penicillin called Ampicillin and it may inhibit the absorption of the prevacid.

A doctor gave me zithromax 3days but the throat burning after i stopped and i notice in my eye a swelling at the lower lid where i had touched it ( with my stupid methode to clean dust in my eye - saliva on pointed tissue). You see I did not get a symptom in my eye at that time; why - may be of the garlic i was daily eating. Now I have have blisters/grain sand like and red patches on the glans.
