zithromax and std

Hi, i was diagnosed with chlamydia today in my local STD clinic, the doctor gave me 4 250mg Zithromax tablets to take which i did as instructed. A little later without thinking about it i drank one pint of beer. Genuine mistake. i was just wondering will the dose of Zithromax i took work now?

I was so worried about the symptoms and asked the doc for medicine; he gave me zithromax which I haven’t started yet. What is your opinion on the STD doctor? I will go for full blood test in few weeks.

I know it is not healthy to do this but I recently became paranoid and took 1g of Zithromax today just in case of a STD. I was tested before this guy and was clean. I am unable to get a STD test due to facilities closing pretty early and will get one in a couple months but do you think the 1g would have cured gonnoreha, chlamydia, and syphilis if I did have it?

i dont think if it is chlamydia or gonorreha my cousin said drink zithromax. i take zithromax 500 for 3 days now i can urinate comfortable now. how can i assure that i am fully recovered?

Your original doctor is a good doctor and the doze of zithromax you took was a pre-caution, and it took care of any bacteria that the tests may have been missed. "So what an i do now?" Though this is an STD forum and does not cover HIV issues. I will say, get a HIV test the soonest one at 6 weeks it will be very reliable, for a conclusive test you will need one after the 3 month mark. Post further HIV questions on HIV community forum.

If you had gotten gonorrhea or NGU you would have most likely developed symptoms of urethritis (penile infection) and the symptoms you describe while possibly consistent with prostatitis or the recently described chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS- described in Wikipedia) are not suggestive of STD. Even if your partner had an STD (any STD and it is likely she did not), most exposures do not lead to infection.

This is a nastly little bug to have and if not treated properly can lead to complications and also the risk of infecting others. When it comes to STD's you absolutely need a doctor involved.

It was confirmed that I had chlamydia and I had gotten treated with Zithromax that same day. Symptoms began to die down but after a week they seemed to return. I had also now been experiencing clear discharge after urinating and clear milky discharge only in the morning. I went back to the doctor and got treated again for chlamydia and took another test. The results came back negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea, but even a week after these results discharge from my penis still persist.

I visited my family doctor, he put me on Cipro which did nothing. I visited the STD clinic again, got tested for everything again, and came out negative. They gave me 1gm of zithromax which cleared everything up after a few days- but the irritation came back after 2.5 weeks. I went back to the clinic, the doctor thought that I might have a Ureaplasma infection and they put me on Doxy for 10 days, which didn't do any good.

I just had an exposure where I had protected oral with a CSW and also kissed and also had protected vaginal rimming and she was very wet. I a worried I may have exposed myself to an Std please help.

I initially received a shot and pills for suspected gonorrhea, the results came back and all tests were negative except for a UTI. I was given initially ,zithromax, doxycycline and flagyl , took all those. Still with a discharge and given a second dose of zithromax. i was treated for chlamydia a week ago, give zithromax, still waiting for the test. but 3 days later my right testicle was sore, a week later i was getting clear sticky penile discharge after urination, but more so after a bowel movement. there is not a lot, and it looks like precum i'm worried the zithromax didn't work and i still have something. can i take pills too soon after sex? i took them the day after intercourse do yu think it could be a prostate problem?

I received zithromax (azithromycin) for 5 days. (500 mg the first day and 250 mg day 2-5). The symptoms have improved, for example I no longer have the morning discharge that I had before and the stains in my underwear have almost disappeared. It is now 5 days since I took the last dose of zithromax. I still have some mucus strings and mucus debris in my urine. I did not have this before the STD so I know it is not normal for me.

Hi I am currently three days on Zithromax (treating chlamydia) and I have a light sometimes darker Orange discharge with strings of blood in them when I wipe. The consistency is stretchy and I’m pretty worried. Me and my partner (also taken Zithromax one day oral medicine) haven’t had sex since our treatment (same day), as told to wait seven days. Could it be the antibiotics fighting the infection?

In oktober my wife needed to that Zithromax 1.5g over 2 days for an infection of her ear. I then also took Zithromax 1.5g and doxycycline 100mg 2 x a day for 5 days against possible chlamydia/ngu. I have a few questions: 1) Can I get gonorrhea or ngu from this brief oral? 2) Would the Zithromax 1 day after the exposure block or prevent gonorrhea or ngu? 3) What about the 4 pills of augmentin? 4) I’m afraid that the Zithromax just made gonorrhea symptoms mild.

On the day of my one night stand I took 500mg of Zithromax and then followed it on Monday with 7 more 250mg pills. Total in 24 hours was 2..25 GMs of zithromax. Would you recommend follow up screening based on my whole story?

Thusday Morning I started to have sore throat, with mucous and body pain, chills, and headaches. All mild. It persisted through Friday and so I went to CVS to buy Mucinex for cold & flu. I took the medicine and it lowers the symptoms.the symptoms however, don't go away and I still have the flu-like symptoms. It's Sunday! On your expertise, please advise me whether this could be potential side effects or a cold or flu I got from somewhere? It is side effects, when will I feel better?

My test results are not back from the lab yet but I had symptoms and was treated for what the physician said sounded like chlamydia. He gave me 1000mg Zithromax and my symptoms are going away fairly quickly so I am assuming I had chlamydia and not gonorrhea. As I have read here on other threads it would take around 2000mg of Zithromax to treat gonorrhea Thank you for your time and any advice.

What do you guys think? Could this be an std? I have been tested and the results came back negative for an std because it was kind of a thick discharge that dropped out and I touched it and rubbed my finger together and it formed into a white-ish cream. Eh I don't know I'm not trying to freak out but I still am.
