I would like to know the long term toxic side effects of Lamivudine 150mg and zidovudine 300mg tablet which is taken as a PEP for 28 days.
Hello again doctor. It was very hard due side effects but fortunately I was able to take PEP treatment for the role 28 days after 30h of exposure. Now I'm waiting 4 weeks period to do first testing. In this meantime, that I still very frightened, I would like to ask you on your experience have you seen cases of people taking PEP as recommended and still turning HIV positive? Is it rare? Thanks once more.
m almost done with Day 2 of Truvada and AZT and am just tired, no other side effects yet. I begin Combivir + Viread on Monday, and am a bit worried the side effects will become harder to deal with considering I'm taking AZT now once twice a day and Monday I switch to 3 times twice a day.
I have a panic and anxiety disorder. I have a therapist and set up a meeting with her. In addition I get regularly tested for STI's, I don't have Hep C, I have my vaccines, blah blah.

but there were no evidence of fever or sore throat or something but i had an skin burn that last just a few hours and an ulcer in my mouth that last just a day and faded by itself. i am doubtful if these symptoms are related to HIV ARS or side effects of drugs that i am taking. i need to know if this regimen is enough in my situation and how long after taking these drugs is the right time to go for an elisa test.

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.
Yes, I've only been on it a week and I experience the muscle aches and bilateral flank pain as well. In addition, insomnia!

Hi. I am on week 60/72, second round of treatment. I was really really sick after shot for first few months and then this resolved and became tolerable at least. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?
Cancer removed May 22, 2007, chemo July 2nd through October 8, 2007, and radiation on left breast November 2nd through December 26, 2008. Side effect from Taxol perminent numb toes, side effects so far from Tamoxifen body temperature changes of warmth then cold. The web page sites and telephone numbers did not have this information.
