1564367 tn?1295997670 I have been diagnosis with chronic severe depression. And realizing as of lately I have Autism - Asperger's Syndrome. Is there a treatment for this disorder? I take Prozac for the depression.
Avatar f tn go for a walk, do yoga, do deep breathing, write in your journal, work on any kind of hobby that you enjoy... And if all you want is sleep, get as much of it as you can! Pregnancy takes so much out of our bodies, and it's important that we remember that so we don't beat ourselves up for being lazy or for not being able to get as much done as usual. We need the extra rest. Good luck and take it easy!

Avatar f tn Start with your mind and body. Eat healthy, exercise, do yoga, cardio (however little). Eat 4-5 small meals a day. This will help your body. Read a lot. Journal your thoughts and feelings every morning. Put on paper the things that affected you the day before and write down how those things, in fact, affected you. Journal about your childhood and tell it to someone you trust. That is why it is better to have a counseler. Unresolved problems do no tgo away, they worsen.

I know that it's normal to be more in a depressive state at night but why is it so bad? I get weird thoughts and sometimes weird dreams, and i start crying out of no where or getting mad and upset . Sometimes It just gets out of control and I can catch it but it's hard to stop it all together.

The doc sent my blood in and will know by Thursday if everything else is eliminated, but she said she's pretty sure it's Fibro and "severe depression". She prescribed Cymbalta, which I started taking today (30mg for a week, then 60mg for two weeks, then go back to see how its going). Problem: I'm a self proclaimed hypochondriac, so after taking my first Cymbalta, I'm sitting here waiting to have a seizure or something.

If you haven't gotten bloodwork for vit d, vit b and iron, you could be deficient in any of these. I was. If you are and start taking prescription supplements from your dr, you will notice a big difference in your mood and energy. Keep in ming all things take time. No quick fixes here.

Avatar n tn Also, zoloft is another anti depressant pregnant mommies take during and after pregnancy. Seeing as you have depression now your probably at high risk for post partum depression. I hope you can work through this. And get some help. Keep udated.

It's not so much "depression" it's more of the severe rage and anger spells I get towards my boyfriend (mostly in the morning.) I've seen my doctor about it and she prescribed me celexa but it makes my anxiety worse and to be honest, I hate antidepressants. If anyone is struggling, do you have any tips for me at all?

1500294 tn?1290272209 Like lil lady said it is growing baby to blame. But also the hormones at the end of pregnancy can increase anxiety especially if you are already prone to anxiety or depression. All these uncomfortable feelings also can bring on stress and anxiety. It's not truly an anxiety disorder but hormone and circumstance induced anxiety.
Avatar f tn I've been battling major depression for almost a year, I'm not BP. My Dr has been upping my meds. I did ok on effexor xl 150mg and lamtical 100 for 2 weeks and then crashed really bad. So my dr upped my effexor to 225 mg and for 2 weeks felt normal for the first time in a year it was a relief. Then I had a international gift show to work, this was working 12 hour days for a week and then I started my period. Then I had to leave this job and go on a family vacation the very day.

Here are some ideas I've either read about or come up with on my own. Please add to them. So--- we learn how to cope often from our parents. If we have calm, stress free parents, we learn through watching them. If we have stressball parents, we learn that too. My son was born a stressed baby, colic from the get go. So, his anxiety just is and always was and NO!

It would be easier if you add to the same post each time, rather than starting a whole new one, then we don't have to keep switching back and forth to see what's gone before. But that's ok - you'll get the hang of things. Have you been to see your doctor to make sure that you don't have any medical issues that might sabotage weight loss, such as thyroid, pre-diabetes/insulin resistance, etc?

I live at home with my parents and my boyfriend lives with me as well im graduated from school already and everyone works full time during the day.. I cant seem to make myself get outta bed before 12 because i know ill have nothing to do but clean the house around 1:30 -2 I clean but I have nothing else to do but watch tv and facebook all day....
