866560 tn?1265061561 Has anyone been having back issues yet? Unfortunately I went into this pregnancy with three herniated discs, so I knew my back was going to be bad, but dang...this is starting to get annoying! I actually went out and bought a belly/back brace. I guess I thought this was going to come later in the pregnancy, but I am only 6 months. I have only gained 13 pounds, but unfortunately it's ALL belly! Does anyone have any tips for relief?
5071698 tn?1436498808 is there an issue with it? It used to be that you could choose between a tracker journal and a general journal entry. Has something changed?
3093770 tn?1389739126 Hi Dianne, There is more evidence coming to light now about the very real connection between emotions and physical disease. In recent large studies with cardiac (heart disease) patients, being socially isolated, being pessimistic and having negative emotional relationships with a parent all lead to significantly higher death rates, regardless of nutritional status, exercise, smoking and medications.
1831849 tn?1383228392 On another board there is a thread labeled Exercise Accountability. It is members post brief descriptions of there ongoing exercise activity. Posting to the thread helps keep me motivated. I've started this journal to provide my MedHelp friends a place to do the same. My journal is open to all who care to post. :-) http://www.medhelp.

Avatar m tn Khechari mudra. You make this mudra—a gesture or attitude that directs subtle energies—by drawing the tip of your tongue up and back toward the back of the nostrils in the upper throat. Close your eyes and mouth and hold the mudra for as long as is comfortable. Yogis use this mudra to preserve vitality. One of my students woke up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth, performed the mudra and went happily back to sleep, refreshed and moist.
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to the community. I had to go back and read your original post. It would be easier if you add to the same post each time, rather than starting a whole new one, then we don't have to keep switching back and forth to see what's gone before. But that's ok - you'll get the hang of things. Have you been to see your doctor to make sure that you don't have any medical issues that might sabotage weight loss, such as thyroid, pre-diabetes/insulin resistance, etc?
Avatar f tn and also nice to be able to look back on a good day, when I felt positive, or made a little progress...at the very least, I am sure it can't hurt... You can actually use the journal feature on your profile here on this own site! (I am doing that, but also going to keep a written journal too, maybe with a little more specific details...) Good luck...let us know how it goes!
Avatar n tn As it has already been said, Tylenol is safe. You can also use a heat pad for short periods of time, as in 30 min on, 30 min off.. Yoga and exercise to stretch and release tension. Warm baths, massages.. If this is a recurrent problem I would definitely start an exercise plan and schedule a visit to a chiropractor to help me with massages and whole body posture. Due to weight gain and hormonal change your body posture is slowly changing and adapting, and frequently derives in bad postures.
Avatar f tn has anyone here tried Gentle Restorative Yoga?? or any Yoga? jw if anyone has tried it and whats their experience?
Avatar f tn Try stretching every morning and night, it will loosen your back up. Maybe look into yoga or pilates, those could help too.
1679858 tn?1346765181 It would just be a dull ache, but this pain all began in January, right when I started the Yoga (I keep a journal). My last two sessions of Yoga led me to two to three days of extreme fatigue and pain in my arms and legs. My doctors seem to think I am dreaming things up, I think, because both neuro and neuro surgeon have said the Chiari is not affecting me...but something sure is. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Avatar f tn I m 33+ weeks and I have been facing back pain issues from almost 17th week. I have been doing yoga eversince then and it has helped me greatly. I still have lower back pain sometimes but it certainly is not too much. Heating pads and ample rest also help.
1150039 tn?1261880523 are you on med for your thyroid issues and if so, are your levels at a good point for you? The reason I ask that question is because until your thyroid levels are where YOU need them to be, it will be very difficult to lose weight. I say that in all honesty because I have experience with that. Can you give us an idea of your eating habits?
Avatar f tn My sister and I live together, and she tends to get frustrated with me for a lot of things like my memory problems, how easily I fatigue, that I make time for yoga and walking but I can't do a lot of chores. I keep fit and go to yoga a lot, or my pain becomes absolutely unbearable. I won't live with that pain. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I eat fruits take a walk but what really did it was prenatal yoga omg it relaxed me completely try it and ice cream :)
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn ve never taken it as I am more inclined to homeopathic and holistic remedies. Meditation and yoga helped greatly, but once I missed a day or two I was back on the suffocation wagon. Help!!!!!!!
400099 tn?1282954864 Yoga is supposed to be very helpful for MS patients. My only caution would be, if you have lower back issues, certain yoga positions and movements can aggravate the lower back. If you do have back issues, you will know what to avoid just by seeing the position. Yoga is a great way to gain strength and flexibility. Let us know how it goes for you.
976084 tn?1270872439 I don't want to copy and paste what I wrote in my journal but if someone thinks they might want to help me can you please read it. Thank you for anyone who actually does...
Avatar f tn im tring yoga, but after a couple days i am ready to quit from the pain. does it get better or should i quit.
Avatar f tn What you're feeling (about the baby, being a mom, preparing the nursery, etc.) and what you're plans are. Like "Not much has changed, she's still kicking around down there :) Read another chapter from the baby book, learning so much. Wonder if I'll remember it all!? Oh, and hubby and I are going out tonight with the in-laws." lol just an example. It doesn't have to be just about baby and her development.
Avatar f tn I have done everything to relieve my back pain but nothing is working, what else caniI do to relieve the pain.
1491755 tn?1333201362 I have not been on here much since I hurt my back right before Thanksgiving, then surgery on Christmas Eve has taken me from chemo brain to anesthesia brain :) I just found this on CoWriter's journal, it looks like it will be good reading.
Avatar f tn I go not masturbating for 2-3 months at times as well. Back when i was active I would last 40 minutes on average and I could get a second go within 10 minutes or so. The other night I had an incident with my girlfriend, who I'm both emotionally and physically very attrated to. She gave me oral and I discharged in less than 5 minutes and even after a 10 minute rest I was simply unable to get a second erection.
Avatar f tn hi I broke my back in 2 places almost 3 years ago, I am fine now but occasionally get chronic back ache, since im pregnant the pain is more frequent. I do pregnancy pilates and that is by far the best thing I have found for it!! its brilliant! also try sitting with a hot water bottle at your back or a warm bath! I find these really help! I hope it helps!
