On April 14th I had unprotected intercourse with another woman. The days passed and I did not think much of this encounter until a couple of weeks after the event a rash appeared on my penis.
I went to a GP on May 14th and took a blood test. The doctor thought it was herpes. A couple of days after my blood test I developed a sore throat, then a runny nose, then a slight fever with fatigue. I diagnosed this as a cold and did not think much of it.
Regarding the sugar issue....yeast thrives with moisture and with sugar. To avoid high spikes in your blood sugar, eat fruit high in fiber and have some protein with it. Never eat fruit by itself. Avoid juice and dehydrated fruit (too much sugar).
Last but not least, consider using probiotics.

My mom had recurring yeast infections as a child, which I just recently found out about, and was diagnosed two years ago with diabetes. With my last preg I had at least 2 yeast infections. I found washing with vagisil ph balance worked. Avoid sugar. Multiple infections can be a sign of GD. Have you had your glucose test yet?
Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!

Its very common to get multiple yeast infections during pregnancy. There isn't really any way of preventing as hormones change constantly. Speak with your doctor to see about preventatives but I've learned they don't help much.

t happen all the times but most times when I am dry. I am 32 years old and he is 49 I have went to the doctor and I keep getting yeast infections. I use the over the counter meds fr it and sometimes the doctor prescribes me creams but it keeps coming back. Is it coming back because I gave it to him and he brings it back to me each time? He is a diabetic and is uncircumcized but he is very clean and has good hygienes in that department.
I just got done with both of those infections and it drove me crazy but its very common in pregnancy I never used the monistat 7 while pregnant but I don't cause pre term labor but the infection can well that's what I was told so it has to be treated as soon as possible
Do you eat the garlic and onions to help with the yeast infection? I know that garlic is good for yeast. I have started taking a strong garlic pill.
You sound like you are feeling much better. What ever happened to the last tick bite you found? Did you get tested again?
On another good but scarry note. I'm going back to work Thursday. I feel ready but really, really, nervous. My job is not hard. I'm a special ed teacher and have a lot of support.
