Clindamycin (generic for Biaxin) can be a tough one. Some people have no problems with it, but some do, like me and apparently you. I got waterlogged (edema) with swelling all over, but esp in my legs. It may have been some other chemical was out of whack in my body, but the LLMD too me off the drug right away. I still don't know what caused my problems.

I take PB 8, it works great and I also try to drink at least one glass of cranberry juice per day and eat lots of yogurt especially when your taking your antibiotic so it can replace the good bacteria so you don't get yeast infections. I've heard you can take monistat for a yeast infection. But I would talk to your doctor first. Treatment for a yeast is different than bacterial, and you should make sure you don't have any other complications before starting something.

The antibiotics in the penicillin family can cause vaginal yeast infections and diarrhea in women by affecting the normal vaginal and colon bacteria. The better drug would be macrodantin 100mg at night if your cultures are sensitive to it. Long term cipro is also not good because it will cause antibiotic resistent bacteria to eventually grow. Since you are structurally normal and there is no obvious focus of infection long term antibiotic suppression may be your only answer.
These forms of dairy make it very hard to clear infections. Cranberry is pretty good for yeast and other microbial infections--especially urogenital infections. The unsweetened forms are more effective. If you're still having significant symptoms of infection, and these simple home remedies are not enough, see your doctor for antibiotics or antifungals. They could really help ED if it's caused by infection.
t happen all the times but most times when I am dry. I am 32 years old and he is 49 I have went to the doctor and I keep getting yeast infections. I use the over the counter meds fr it and sometimes the doctor prescribes me creams but it keeps coming back. Is it coming back because I gave it to him and he brings it back to me each time? Seven months ago my boyfriend and I began having sex, and about two weeks later I started my period but noticed that I was having major pain and itching internally and externally towards the end of my period. I went to the OB/GYN and I did have a yeast infection for the first time ever. I wasn't on any birth control, nor taking any antibiotics, not pregnant, and the pap came back normal with no diseases.
I'd rather use the creams. I'm currently battling an external yeast infection that has affected the top of my inner thighs (where the leg and vulva meet), my vulva and it's creases, lower abdomen and the very bottom of my butt. Also, near my vaginal opening I scratched myself too hard so there's scratches and it burns like a mother when I pee and the urine flows downward onto it. I am on the larger side of the body size scale (about 5'6 and over 300lbs).

Your hormones are different and your immune system is weakened from pregnancy. I've had 2 thrush infections and treatment hasn't kept it away. Thrush is a oral yeast infection.
The odor means the infection has not cleared up and you may need a different antibiotic, either pills and/or cream. You may have a propensity to yeast infections and adding cranberry juice or cranberry pills and yogurt to your diet may also help but see the Dr. first to get this cleared up.
can anyone here who knows a lot about yeast infections help me out and give me an honest list of foods to consume and ones to avoid. please experts only as I have made a few mistakes already by reading and taking the advice of charlatans.
If so, This will be my 3rd yeast infection in about a month. First time it was a yeast infection and BV. Doctor believes the 2nd yeast infection came from the antibiotic for BV. I just feel like I'm getting the symptoms again and I really hope not. This can't be healthy for me or my baby. It's driving me crazy!!! Anybody else going through this? I'm 17 weeks ftm!
I just got done with both of those infections and it drove me crazy but its very common in pregnancy I never used the monistat 7 while pregnant but I don't cause pre term labor but the infection can well that's what I was told so it has to be treated as soon as possible
