yaz

1051017 tn?1349636853 I've personally never been on Yasmin, but I have heard from other women about the side effects they experience. They almost always end up switching to another brand.
484167 tn?1210001396 i couldn't stand these side effects so i went ahead and switched back to yaz...i can't stand feeling preganant all the time which is exactly the way the yasmin made me feel...there are too many different brands of the pill to have one of them make you feel like ****. there are a lot of options...
1761691 tn?1313171747 with the Ortho it took me 4months to get over the side effects. took it for 6 months before TTCin n it wasn't so bad. as for the Yasmin, it gave me horrible migraines and I kept on vomiting every time I took it. if ur sure about the Yasmin pills then I'd recommend that u wait until u finish ur ortho first to avoid unnecessary bleeding. Good luck!
1313343 tn?1274833215 Aren't such side-effects as abdominal cramps have been reported for Yasmin? As I have found them in the drugs description.
Avatar f tn 3-4 different kinds of pills, the patch, the shot and I had terrible side effects for all of those including worse pains, numbness, and my entire leg and arm tingling and going numb. But on Yaz there were no side effects and all my cysts were gone. But remember, everyone is different. Hope this was helpful!
Avatar n tn I was on YAZ for about a year without any "side effects", until the last two months. I've had out of cycle bleeding (mostly spotting) before my period. The doctor switched me to Yasmin, which has a higher dose of estrogen. She said that'd stop the spotting. So far.. so good. But she said it's not uncommon w/ YAZ to have these issues. Hope that helps.
Avatar n tn I have heard about Yaz and Yasmin causing more of a risk for blood clots in women....BUT (yes there is a but) almost all birth control pills can cause blood clots especialy if you have had them before, or have had a family history of them. If your nurse wants you to switch to a genric then you can still take Yasmin (but it would be Ocella). It's the same thing.
Avatar f tn I've always had good luck with Yaz and Yasmin. Yaz has fewer side effects and most people can tolerate it and it works. However- everyone's body is different, and until they get the hormone balance right, you could have spotting, etc. I can say, that most likely- there is a pill out there that you could tolerate. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I would like to hear your opinions about Yaz/Yasmin Birth Control. Have you had any side effects? Has this pill been helpful to you? I have dedicated a support group website for women and girls who have previously or currently taking Yaz/Yasmin Birth Control. Please take a moment to view webiste, YazForum and post your experience while taking this medication. We need to hear your stories to make others aware of this birth control.
Avatar m tn Hello there, I've heard from more than one source that the bc pill Yaz also sold as Yasmin, same stuff, is dangerous. If Yaz is causing you to be depressed, with panic attacks and anxiety, I would suggest getting of Yaz altogether, with the help of your family doctor. Wouldn't even finish the end of the package of Yaz. I've heard it can cause blood clots. Seeing as you had unprotected sex with your boyfriend, this would be a good time for a doctor's visit. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I used to be on Desogen (before my two kids) and did really well on it--no problems, light periods, no side effects. I told my GYN this....why was I stuck on YAZ? Anyway, are these symptoms dangerous? Should I really wait out the month or would that be risky? To me, anything to do with the heart isn't something to mess with. I'm also very atheletic and and worried about the palps + exercise.
869854 tn?1239978206 I just started to take yasmin not yaz and hope this helps me. I have been off the pill for years. I had no luck with the copper iud for 4 years hormone free but the bleeding never go less and the duration never did either. The nuva ring made me depressed tried that for 4 mnths after the iud. I am 39 and my hormones are changing greatly my which they say can happen at this age. my normal periods all my life are changing to every 21 day last period came 109 days later. My GYNsuggeseted the pill.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any bad effects from using Yasmin birth control? I had my iud removed and the dr. put me on yasmin but before i start taking them i just wanted sme feedback... thank you...
Avatar n tn Yeah I have heard alot of bad things about Yaz including commercials from lawyers saying you can get money if you or someone you know was hurt or killed by taking it, it sounds like a pretty bad pill. I think that's what I'm going to do, I was on Tri cylen lo when I was a teenager and it was good maybe I'll go back to that one. Thanks for the advice!
1447404 tn?1284604228 I was told that I have PCOS a week ago. I was wondering what side effects you have had from these drugs. Over the past year, I have gained 50 pounds by changing nothing at all. This gain happened while I was doing 1.5 hr cardio a day with weights & eating around 800 calories. (5'4, 160 now). My Dr. told me that Metformin would help with lowering my weight.Yet, I'm now on Yaz. Yaz has been said to cause weight gain in some girls (maybe just from the horrible intense cravings).
Avatar f tn I take Bc and synthroid and have seen no side effects, They just tell me if I get pregnant to call immed to increase the synthroid. I get really short periods and thats all I have notice.
1927233 tn?1326670387 I once took Yaz (Yasmin) for a month and after discovering many small hard and very sensitive lumps in my breasts after one month, I stopped taking it. My doctor had no explaination. 5 years later, and I am trying birth control pills again (for various reasons). This is my first month on Diane-35. My breasts are extrememly tender and sensitive, putting on a bra is painful, and there are small hard lumps in my breast. Are these side effects normal? Are they dangerous?
Avatar n tn m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
Avatar f tn Hi Mils86, I'm extremely familiar with Yasmin and it's post-side-effects. I was on the pill for 7 years before I decided to come off of it and let my body regulate itself out, much like what you're wanting to do. About three months after coming off of the pill, my cycles were highly irregular and I experienced similar symptoms to what you're describing.
Avatar f tn Your symptoms sound very much like what I went through on Yaz. Both Yasmin and Yaz have a different kind of progestin than other bcps. I was on Yaz for six months, and started having anxiety attacks about once a month. Then after I quit I felt better for a while, but it seems like at 3 months off and six months off things would get worse for a period of time. Like Ginger said above, you may need to try to take extra care of yourself: taking vitamins, eating healthy, exercise and rest.
Avatar f tn Hmm, I just started Yaz again (had to switch to Yasmin for a bit) and my period has been going for two weeks. Now technically I'm supposed to be starting my period tomorrow and the bleeding is finally tapering off.
